About this cottage rental
A small proud home since the 1870's on the Port Clyde waterfront near Raspberry Island looks out on lobster boats at anchor and traditional working waterfront activities. About a 5-minute stroll along winding Horse Point Road takes you to the quaint village general store, post office, and ice cream store.
Purchased by Linda Bean as her own residence for several years, the modest home offers an outstanding deep water dock with seasonal landing float. Perfect for up to 40-foot boat, plus a secondary dock for kayak storage.
Furnishings are Stickley mission style in both living room and waterfront bedroom. All 5 rooms and bath upstairs have a view of the sea except the north facing twin bedroom, which features office hookups and long desktop appropriate for two people. Stacked washer and dryer upstairs for convenience, also clothesline for sunshine fresh sheets and towels. Another small building down the hill for afternoon thinking and late day cocktails provides splendid views of the sunsets from this location.
On a typical Port Clyde postage stamp lot with an old-fashioned one-car garage at top of the hill near the road. Kitchen herb garden with strawberries. Deck for outdoor grilling and relaxation. Indoor heat for cool evenings and year-round living. 1950's kitchen has not been touched with upgrades, original linoleum floor, and no dishwasher. Life the old-fashioned way. The former sunporch is now the dining room with window seat overlooking the grandest view in Port Clyde. Tiled fireplace designed by Linda, who named this location Timeless Days.
As part of our rental application, we do ask for two references from previous rental companies/agents/homeowners etc.
Timeless Day's s a Saturday to Saturday rental.

Clean, beautiful, well appointed, comfortable... Perfect.

Although I had stayed last winter, this was my first time in warm weather and it was wonderful. Stunning views across the islands, lobster and sailboats drifting by, lupines and flowers in every direction. It’s an older home, very well cared for and full of character. The house has everything you could possibly need from lawn games, to beach chairs, fireplace, and a well-stocked kitchen…I love it there - it was very hard to leave!

Perfect spot for two on the water with deep water dock. Beautifully appointed, killer views, easy stroll into the village. Loved everything about it.

While VRBO no longer allows owner contact before booking and is not as user friendly as other vacation rental platforms; Veronika, the property manager was very helpful with the booking process.
My husband, water-loving Lab and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at with the spectacular views in both fair and foul weather and great gas fireplace.
During storms we watched the waves roll across the reach through the picture window in the dining room/porch. On sunny days we grilled on the deck and read on the dock. The dog spent most of her Timeless days watching the diving ducks and basking in the sun.
The house is classic Maine decorated in LL Bean's best beach cottage style. It has been lovingly updated and expanded, with plenty of room to sprawl. Although the high winds and warped frame made the oceanfront door in the master bedroom inoperable, the manager was responsive and we understood that sea air and hard usage makes door maintenance difficult. The property is clean and clutter free inside and out. The kitchen is well stocked with quality cookware and cutlery.
The neighborhood is quiet yet neighborly. lt was a good base for our explorations. We enjoyed happy hour with the friendly folks next door and samis at Ancho Honey. Although the roads to Drift Inn Beach and Marshall Pt Light washed out during the storm, they were repaired by the next day. We romped on dog awesome Clark Island Preserve and Birch Pt Beach State Park.
This is our favorite rental. We will be back.

If there’s a better view in the northern hemisphere, I’ve yet to see it. This is a great older home, lots of charm and character with breathtaking views and outdoor spaces. Lobster boats and eagles in full view from the kitchen and dining areas, even saw a helicopter land at the neighbors up the road. The house had absolutely everything needed, well-stocked kitchen, etc. One note…steps up to 2nd floor are steep, but were not an issue for me at all. I’ve already made plans to go back. So grateful to Linda, Veronica and staff for sharing such a special place!

The location and views of the harbor/cove are unparalleled. The house has updates but steep stairs, old flooring in the kitchen, a tiny dishwasher, and old kitchen cabinets. The master bed - super comfy and cozy. Most of the windows have been updated and are modern as well as provide beautiful views. Parts of the dock require repairs to prevent you from stepping through. You can't really swim (or let the dog swim) off of the float because there is no way to get back out of the water and safely into the yard. If you don't need some of that, you will love it. It is a great little retreat from the world and walking distance to the heart of Port Clyde.

You won't find many properties like this on the coast of Maine....in perfect condition, spotless, on a fascinating harbor where you can see real lobstermen/fishermen (and women) working, with a simply extraordinary view from both inside and from the lovely deck.

This was our second stay at Timeless Days. It is exactly as described and photographed. It is very comfortable and well equipped.
What we came back for...the views.
I doubt if another property in Port Clyde can match the view...we couldn't find one. I have dreamt of waking in the main bedroom. We had to go back.

This property is a gem. Stunning views from every window to watch the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The outdoor seating options let you enjoy the water views from every angle. The interior is as described and was very clean and comfortable. The steps are very steep and narrow, so just had to be careful going up and down. The home was well-equipped but could have used a few more items to get guests started (i.e. handsoap, coffee filters, additional cups). Besides that one small note, this property is a true 5/5 and would love to come back in the future!

I have zero complaints about the home our our experience. The home is a little slice of perfection from a simpler time. The views cannot be beaten. The house is well appointed. I appreciate the efforts to ensure quality linens and furnishings. We had a LOVELY two week stay and didn't want to leave.
The host was very responsive and helpful!
A few tips: we were there in late July/early August. I brought a small air conditioner for the bedroom and was thankful to have it. I like a cold room. Probably would have been fine for most normal folks. It got a bit hot in the afternoons but we sat outside and were just fine. We preferred to eat dinner around sundown so that we could enjoy the back deck views without too much sun.
I would be remiss not to add that LGBTQ+ community and allies should do some research on the owner of the home before they decide if this home is the right fit for them. But again, no complaints on the house or our experience.

A Very Special Perch
We enjoyed our stay immensely at this sweet and comfortable little house. But the real show is outside. It’s perched perfectly above the waterfront, connected to water, sky, and endlessly changing panoramas throughout the day, all of them stunning and memorable.

Perfection!
I believe we had the best water view in Port Clyde. The house is wonderful, the grounds lovely and extremely well kept. The house is beautifully decorated, well appointed and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bedroom views amazing. Outdoor spaces are many, each with its own character. The home is a short walk to the Port Clyde dock yet feels very private and isolated. Agent Veronika is extremely accessible and responsive. We couldn’t have wished for a better vacation. We hope to return.

Beautiful location
Had a wonderful stay at here. House is very clean. Both bedrooms & bathroom are spacious & nicely decorated. Beware the stairs are almost like climbing a ladder. Outdoor space is amazing. View from the deck & dock are unbelievable!
My only complaint is the house is stocked with 3 rolls of toilet paper & 1 roll of paper towels. Paying almost $1,000/ night I think a few more rolls of both are warranted. I have to believe most people don’t abuse the extra products. The toilet paper shortage is over & adding a few more rolls of both would be a good idea.

Peaceful and relaxing!
We really enjoyed this unique cottage and its setting. All as billed and in fine shape. Lots of activity in to watch from the deck: lobstermen, yachters, birds. And cozy, well-furnished home. Nice art work too. Never even thought about air conditioning by-the-way, as we had classic Maine weather.

Lovely
Timeless Days is a lovely property. The house is cozy and very comfortable, and the fish house, dock and lawn games enabled us to enjoy the entire property. Port Clyde is welcoming village and we enjoyed our time there. Veronika was extremely responsive and a pleasure to work with.

Relaxation
The property was exactly what we expected. Welcome to a peaceful little lobstering community on the Maine Coast. Much of the local area had not opened for the season yet, but we knew that going in. Such a great and peaceful area. The house and setting can not be beat. Friendly neighbors. The dogs loved the setting as well. You won't be disappointed. Internet was strong enough for Zoom meetings. Only negative we would come up with would be to add some larger drinking glass' and coffee mugs. For real, enjoyed so much.

Terrific location, wonderful opportunities for walking, incredible views!
Stairs to second floor are a little steep... would be challenging for an older person whose legs are not strong

Timeless Days is a wonderful property! The views are fantastic from inside and out. Plenty of comfy seating on the deck, in the boathouse and on the dock. We have stayed in many locations along the Maine coast and this location is the best. The house is furnished with comfortable furniture - beds were great. The view - the islands and the lobster boats make it more interesting than most. We saw eagles and a seal.Port Clyde is a quaint town with a small Wyeth gallery and a few restaurants. The Black Harpoon was great! This was a COVID vacation so we did take-out and it was a 5 minute round-trip to pick up dinner. If you plan to eat-in, definitely stop at the supermarket before you go to the house. The nearest supermarket is 30-minutes away. There is a small general store in Port Clyde for very basic essentials. The house is not stocked with anything so be sure to bring tissues, salt/pepper, olive oil, cooking spray, etc. if you plan to cook at all.The next time we vacation in Maine this will be our property of choice!
