Just what we were looking for. Perfect size for our family of three + dog. Very private and quiet. Can’t wait to visit again.

Our stay at the cabin was wonderful! We loved sitting on the porch overlooking the dock, but the highlight of our week was taking the canoe and kayak to the little islands in the middle of the pond. The pond is shallow so it was very warm and there were no motorboats allowed. It was a very peaceful place to spend the week. The cabin itself was great! The two bedrooms were roomy for our family of four and the kitchen had everything we needed. We would love to visit again!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at 'Loon Cottage.' It was just the two of us, so we were glad to be able to rent a place that didn't have tons of extra bedrooms and space we didn't need.
I cannot say enough about the location. This was our first trip to Maine, and staying in this place just outside of Camden proper was perfect - we were close enough to make an easy drive into the charming town for groceries, wonderful dining, strolling by the waterfront AND felt like we were tucked away in an almost private hideaway on a gorgeous large pond.
The view from the deck was so beautiful it nearly took my breath away, especially in early morning or late day light.
And we loved the rustic old feel of the cabin - it really felt like HOME. We were there for some pretty chilly nights and loved firing up the wood stove now and again to make it a little toastier inside. The kitchen had everything we needed and the short few steps down to the water and a lovely dock made for a wonderful spot for quiet contemplation or watching the birds and feeling the breeze.
The main bedroom bed was so comfortable (I'm in love with those sheets) and we slept so well and felt very much at home there. Plus, the host was so attentive and kind. We would definitely return to this cozy hideaway in the hart of mid-coast Maine again.

The Loon Cottage was so comfortable and clean! The views are amazing. The beds were very comfortable with very nice linens. It was far enough away from Camden that we had privacy and quiet but close enough that we could go out to eat or shop easily! One of my favorite places we have ever stayed!

The cottage is cute and exactly what we wanted but, we had a 97 year old with us and the walk way wasn't really safe for him. Linens were in short supply. We ended up at Walmart to buy more towels. The swim ladder was broken and the grill spilled grease all over one of our kayaks.

We had a great relaxing vacation at the cottage.
We shall return.

Very quiet neighborhood, close to everything - hiking trails, downtown camden, etc. Cabin is very clean. My husband, dog and I enjoyed our stay and relaxing by the pond. Wish we can extend our stay a bit longer.

We loved it here. Can’t say enough good things about the Loon Cottage.
We spent six relaxing days in the cottage; on the pond; in downtown Camden and on the hills and we already want to go back.

Lovely property, cozy and nice location. Nice property owner.

This is a cozy house with a wonderful, but unscreened and unlighted, back porch overlooking Hosmer Pond. Property is nice but not friendly to seniors. The Loon watching and calls were wonderful. Indoor lighting needs some help, especially in the kitchen.
We would be very happy to return, if the house is improved, as above. Elizabeth was very helpful for our move in and throughout our stay. The local area is very scenic, and the house is close to beautiful Camden and Rockport harbors, which have many shops and eateries. Rockland is an easy 15-minute drive away.

Lovely pond enhanced by the cry of the loons. Great swimming and kayaking. Breakfast on the porch was a definite plus.

The place is in a beautiful location, just a few miles from Camden and on lovely lake. I used everything they had available, the canoe, the kayak and swam in the lake. Our small dog loved the place as well.

I was unable to do the reading or work I wanted to do. The cottage was poorly lit and the old chairs didn't permit extended reading time. This was exasperated by the rainy days that forced me to be indoors more than I would have liked.

The property was as expected. A simple, clean cabin on the water in Maine! Enjoyed a well equipped kitchen. Ample firewood for wood burning stove. Canoe and kayak were great additions to enjoy Hossmer Pond!
Less than 10 minute drive to grocery, downtown Camden or Rockport. Great central coast location with many recreation opportunities within a close radius.

Beautiful rustic cabin in a beautiful area. Very clean, everything we needed was there. Highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was great to stay in a classic Maine camp. Our host was welcoming and available, though we had everything we needed. She got the wood stove going for us so the camp was warm and toasty when we arrived. Hope to return some day!

Lisa met us and welcomed us to her cabin. It was beautiful! She'd thought of every little touch to make us comfortable. Would absolutely book again! She was very responsive when we emailed questions prior to our visit. The cabin is warm and inviting. Great porch to watch the water from. Even heard loons! Built a fire in the wood stove. Loved our stay and highly recommend booking!

Loon cottage is the perfect getaway. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed and more. The views of the pond are stunning! Elisabeth was amazing and the perfect host. We can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful cabin-like home on quite pond (if you’re expecting luxury, this isn’t for you; if you want a comfortable place close to nature this is the one for you). Sleep to the sound of loons calling. Use the kayak to explore the pond and then go for short drives to check out Camden, Rockland, Belfast, Rockport, Camden Hills State Park. Home is basic but has everything you need. Great new Adirondack chairs on the deck and private dock are perfect!

Our family enjoyed our stay in this cozy cabin. The accommodations were very clean. The communication with the host was effortless and the check-in process couldn't have gone more smoothly.
The only difficulty was that the shower (listed as small on the listing) is truly very small - my husband is over 6ft tall and had a difficult time moving in the shower - though he managed. Besides that, our stay was wonderful!

Lisa was an excellent, accommodating and communicative host. The cottage was a peaceful and beautiful on the water. We spent lots of time on the canoe and kayak, and enjoyed a fire by the water. We caught a ton of bass and some perch, visited Lobster Fest and the neighboring towns. It's a short drive to the grocery store and the kitchen has an abundance of tools and spices. Would stay again 😊

A quiet well stocked cottage on a lovely loon lake. However only a very short car ride from all that Camden and Rockport have to offer. In summary, a perfect respite.
4.8
Beautiful, quiet pond! The loon family was fun to watch right from the covered porch and they swam by at least twice a day. We also saw Belted Kingfishers which was a thrill. The birdsong was amazing. Great to have use of kayak and canoe as well as a dedicated dock to swim from. This very clean, well appointed cottage is an easy drive from Camden and Rockport as well as convenient to Rockland and Lincolnville. Hostess was friendly and available, but we didn’t need a thing that she hadn’t already thought of.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay. The location couldn’t be more beautiful, and when we weren’t canoeing on the pond, or sitting on the dock watching the loons, we were only a few minutes away from a hiking trail or a beach. We were sad to leave, but hope to return some time.

We had a very nice, quiet and relaxing stay. Everything that we needed was provided. We very much enjoyed being entertained by the family of loons.

Although not the newest of amenities, everything was clean and in working order. The owner Lisa stopped by for a visit and was very cordial. This was our second stay at this property and I would not hesitate to come again. Only seven minutes from downtown Camden yet secluded and private. Wonderful location.

Cabin was very clean. Nice quite peaceful place. Just what I needed to recharge the batteries.

This cottage was the perfect vacation spot for my husband and me--plus our dog, Abe. Peaceful, comfortable and with everything you need for a great stay. We really appreciated the beauty of looking out over Hosmer Pond. The setting was perfect. Lisa checked in to make sure everything fine which we really appreciated too.

We arrived after dark, so it was a bit hard to find, but after we got settled in, we had a wonderful time. Very comfortable stay, nice neighbors, and our old black lab really liked getting wet. No TV, but we didn't miss it...too much to do and see in the area

We had a great time and loved waking up to the beautiful lake view every morning! I took a nice swim from the dock on a hot day, cooked burgers on the grill, and had a cozy spot to read on rainy days. The kitchen is well stocked. Convenient drive to Camden, Rockland, and the surrounding areas. There was lots of useful information on the area in the house. Some minor notes: there is no microwave and the shower would be tough for a taller person.

I am not going to get wordy. Less is more. I would definitely consider staying here again. The view from the porch of the pond, Belfast and Camden are close, access to great trails are a big plus. The unit was clean and Lisa was always available for any issues.

This place was a perfect location. Lakefront, with beautiful views and peace and quiet, but only 10-15 minutes from the coast and a variety of restaurants, shopping, and activities. We spent a lot of time fishing, boating, and enjoying the family of loons that were hanging around. The inside is pretty simple as far as furniture and amenities, but it was very clean and it really had everything we could have needed. It was the perfect spot for us and we were sad to leave. We plan to come back to the same house in a few years if we can.

We had a wonderful time at Lisa's cabin. It is clean, close to town, well-stocked with all the basics you could need to be comfortable, and situated on such a beautiful pond. We made use of the hammock, fire pit, dock, and kayak, which all added to our enjoyment of the cabin. The queen bed is comfortable and there are extra blankets and pillows if needed. Lisa met us briefly at the cabin, gave us tons of restaurant and hike recommendations, and called once to check on us...a most thoughtful host!

My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at the cabin!

The view from the back desk is amazing. There is no heat in the cabin but a wood stove so it was pretty cold but to be fair we went in late October. The best thing was that it was fully stocked with anything we needed.
