We would love for you to visit Hidden Serenity Lodge in beautiful Tahoe City.
Hidden Serenity Lodge is located in a very quiet setting. The wrap-around deck and bedrooms face the forest with complete privacy. We are steps away from Tahoe National Forest with miles of hiking/back country skiing for your pleasure.
While the setting around Hidden Serenity is extremely quiet, the location is exceptionally convenient as well. We're half a mile from fine dining, grocery stores, shopping, and beautiful Lake Tahoe itself. It's a 2 minute car ride or 10 minute walk to get there. Talk about convenience!
Our beautiful living room faces the forest with huge windows for your viewing pleasure. If you prefer to face the other way, you'll have a view of our wood burning stove and LED 3D TV, with Blu-ray player, surround sound, Netflix, and cable. For the music lovers, we have convenient hookups for your iPhone/Android/smart phone into our built-in speakers.
We have 3 spacious bedrooms and a loft in the master bedroom. Our bedrooms each have a queen sized bed, with memory foam mattress toppers as well as oversized down comforters for your pleasure. We have two pull-out sofas in the living room and den as well.
Our bathrooms come stocked with toe heaters. Step onto the memory foam mats with those babies blowing and you'll be ready to start your day on even the coldest Tahoe morning.
Relax in the sauna after a long day of skiing, riding, hiking, or whatever your physical pleasure may be.
Our kitchen comes fully stocked with all the standard cookware you would need. We also provide basic oils and condiments. We have a full gas stove and convection oven ready for use.
The dining room provides a beautiful view of the forest and is large enough to fit 8.
If wine is your pleasure, we have plenty of wine glasses to help you unwind after your day.
We have brand new LG washer/dryer for taking care of any emergencies or if you'd just like to freshen up your gear before hitting the slopes again.
Hidden Serenity lodge can accommodate as many as 5 cars (although we'd love it if you carpooled!).
Note: There is an attached studio, where the owners may be staying on occasion. But you won't even notice us as we'll completely respect your privacy. It's your get-away, and we wouldn't want to intrude. But if you'd like to come say 'hi' or ask for advice, we'd be happy to help!

We enjoyed our stay. The house was in a quiet area but an easy walk or drive to Tahoe City. We arrived late at night and the driveway was a bit hard to find in the dark but that was are only difficulty. Beds were great. Kitchen was nicely stocked. House was as very comfortable and we highly recommend staying here.

So quite and we loved the sound of the stream. Close to town, but far enough away! Just loved our stay!

We had the best winter wonderland experience at this home. We built sledding hills, we snowboarded down the garden, we watched the snow fall from the big lounge room windows, we rolled in snow and ran up the the sauna, it was the most cosy and secluded home. Best memories ever!

My wife and I hosted two of her sisters and their husbands for a 3 night stay. This house was perfect for us. Plenty of room for conversation, cooking and eating together. Short walk to shopping and coffee shops. Even better than the photos depict. Would stay again!

First time visitor to Tahoe and would stay here again if we returned. The house is in a great location, 10-15 minute walk to Commons Beach and the restaurants/stores.
The house was clean and in great shape. There is tons of space and the kids loved the extra loft area above the master bedroom!

We were a family looking for a house close to town to enjoy Tahoe living. We enjoyed walking to the Tahoe rim trail from the house, BBQ on the deck and walking to the lake to swim and paddle board. We enjoyed visits from the friendly neighborhood dogs and chatting with the neighbors. Great house, clean and modern and town so close. Highly recommend!

We stayed here for a winter weekend with 6 people and a baby and had plenty of space. I love the entry way/mud room with the closet for ski gear. Kitchen was small, but worked great for our needs. We ate all our meals at home. The dining room chairs are a bit uncomfortable, but we only sat in them for meals. The living spaces are beautiful and very cozy. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable (on the soft side if you prefer a firm matress).
There were a couple of things in need of repair that only mattered because we had a michievious toddler with us:
The cleaning supply closet door was broken and needs to be fixed.
There is a beautiful ceramic/cement two piece display on the opposite side of the wall from the fire place that our daughter almost knocked on top of her. It is very heavy and should be secured.
The location was perfect and just a short drive to squaw and Alpine ski resorts.
Some things that would be helpful for those traveling with children, would be to have a baby gate for the stairs, a high chair, and a pack in play. We brought our own, but it is nice when rentals have them.
All in all we loved our stay and will definitely stay here in the future. The hosts we're very responsive and accommodating. We were able to get an early check in, which was great! Thank you for everything!

Very well equipped and spacious house in the woods, just a few minutes walk or drive to Tahoe City. Best of both worlds. A babbling stream runs behind the house. Appreciated that all the small things were to be found stocked in the house, toilet paper, garbage bags, shampoo, dishwasher detergent, etc. House comfortably slept our family of 6. Entertainment centre and games kept us busy on a cloudy afternoon, and the powerful BBQ and fully equipped kitchen let us cook all we wanted. Highly recommended.

We had a great time. Tahoe just got the biggest snow dump in years when we were up there and it made for some really fun snow play for the kids in the balcony in the back. We had 4 adults and 4 children. Children were ranging in age from 3-6 years.
The cabin had a very usable kitchen. Lots of room for kids to play in. The master bedroom actually has two queen sized beds. One at the 2nd story level and then another higher up in the loft area. I thought that was pretty cool. The loft was the only part of the house that wasn't kid friendly. We didn't allow our small children up there because they could actually fall through the banister on the spiral staircase. If you can control your kids, this isn't an issue :)
There were lots of little things that just made this place over the top for us. The sauna was one of them. The foot warmers in the bathrooms were another. The warmers worked so well that it practically functioned as a space heater for the bathrooms. Great for people who don't like coming out of the shower because its all cold.
The Squaw Valley/Alpine Ski Resort were only 5 miles away. If you are going skiing, plan on getting to the resorts by 8:30a even though the lifts open at 9a because in peak season you're going to be hitting traffic going in and parking is limited. They have world-class slopes here.
Lastly, the place was super clean. For those people that don't wear shoes in the house (you know who you are) this place is for you. I walked around inside all night and the bottom of my socks didn't turn that dirty grey-brown color it normally does on floors that haven't been cleaned in a while.
The hosts were very cordial and personable. I would definitely be coming back here again.

Great House & Location
This is our second stay "Hidden Serenity Lodge". The house is modern and clean, but still gives you the mountain cabin vibe. VRBO lists this as a (3) bedroom house, but the loft area above the master bedroom can be used as a 4th bedroom, which was great for our kids. We were able to get seperation from the kids, but shoving them in the TV room, while the adults lounged in the dining room. The kitchen is small and a little awkward, but is modern and works just fine for our needs! We are definitely planning on renting again the next time we are in Tahoe City!

Perfect Labor Day by the Lake
Perfect house for our group of 8 (might be a little tight with 10 people). Great kitchen, dining room (we cooked the first night and it was so nice having a large table we could all fit around!), comfy beds. House was very clean, though couch has some stains (it's a white couch). Location was perfect for a summer visit, walkable to town and to the lake. Only complaint is the lack of blinds/shades, but we ended up waking up early and enjoying the full day :-). Peter was also really easy to work with and was very flexible with our arrival and departure times. Would definitely rent again.

Stayed during the 4th of July weekend 2015 great house! The host was very easy to work with and they were there but we're so quite we hardly knew it. Loved the house except for the bed in the den that was broken but everything else was great! Walking distance to downtown but there is a hill so if you are not in shape, it can be tough

Serene vacation home in great Tahoe City location
The house is in a great, convenient location and in a quiet, serene setting. We were there in the winter and loved that is was close to Squaw and Alpine ski areas, and warm in the cold weather. It was very clean, had a great dining room and a fabulous living room and a sauna that we enjoyed after a long day of skiing. If you come in the winter and it snows you will need AWD or chains to get out of the driveway. The kitchen is a bit small and the refrigerator was way too small for us since we are foodies, otherwise worked fine. The owner was very accomodating and bought a blender and food processor when I asked if they had one.

Wonderful location and beautiful cabin
I stayed here with my husband, parents, and kids. It was the perfect getaway from our hectic lives. The location was really close to downtown Tahoe City and Lake Tahoe, with many restaurants and shopping. We were able to walk there and avoid the busy summer crowds. The cabin was clean and instructions were very easy and convenient. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful, peaceful, well-equipped cabin, near the best part of Tahoe.
What a gorgeous getaway! We recently stayed at Hidden Serenity Lodge with friends for two nights while it was snowing. Waking up in the morning and staring out the bedroom window at the tree branches covered in snow is something I will remember forever! It was beautiful and the location was peaceful, yet close to many great restaurants and the grocery store in Tahoe City. The house was very clean and well taken care of and the layout was really great for entertaining and hanging out in the evening.
