The location can't be beat. It was technically a safe and "clean" home, but no amount of housecleaning service can fix the grubby appearance of rust showing through paint, the crumbling door around the hall bathroom doorknob, the deeply gross back door frame by the laundry room. It was extremely difficult for me to relax and feel like I was on vacation with these aesthetic issues surrounding me. I gave the cleaning staff five stars upon arrival because, seriously, you can tell they try. There's just a lot to overcome that cleaning can't touch. I never entered the separate unit over the garage because the door code didn't work there. You'll have to blow your nose using toilet paper - there are just the basics here. That said, perfect location.

As we entered the house, it was sooo smelly, I’m not against animals but being a person with no pets, I can tell that the house smells like dogs has been staying there for days. Visible fur on rugs (thick fur), carpets, sofa, glass door curtains and even on the beds! If only I can upload pics. It seemed that it wasn’t vac at all! I wonder if the beddings were even changed! I left a message to them and said they will said a housekeeper the next day since it was already after hours, good thing there was a vacuum in the house, so i did the vacuuming! Flip all the beddings! I had to cover the sofas with bedsheet & lysol sprayed. We had to go to the store to buy lysol spray and air freshener just to minimize the smell and had to open the windows to vent.
It’s an old house though, bathrooms & kitchen are clean. The garage which where the pingpong table is located is a mess! It’s a storage area, creepy! Looks like it hasn’t been used for the longest. We had to clean the pingpong table. Hot tub, has little sand on it. I love the location, very close to the beach and main street.

The place was amazing. It was so close to down town Seaside. It was clean and my kids enjoyed the hot tub and the other ammenities. We would totally stay there again.

We and our two dogs visited and loved the space. Nice backyard, hot tub, and additional separate space above the garage. Close to beach. A street or two over.

Nice place. Family of 6 and everyone liked the place. Would stay there again

The place was nice overall & as appears in photos. Hot tub was nice. The gas fire place was not working but space heaters were provided, just a little uncomfortable leaving those on. Neighborhood is great, ranked a 4 as drive entry is a bit tight for a full size truck.

The property itself is in a nice location. It does need some work though, as the front door digital lock did not work, there were tiles in the kitchen that were broken, cooking utensils were flimsy and rusted, the home had a pet odor, porch railings were showing signs of rot, and the main heat of the home was not functioning properly.
The property management for this location deserves 5 stars for being communicative and supporting us as we reported issues. When the heat was out they contacted the service company to come and work on the unit. When it went out again over the weekend, they offered to even come provide heaters if we needed them (some were in the home). They handled the situation to the best of their ability.

Wonderful spot. We enjoyed our stay.

Just a block from the Seaside promenade, which was great. And the hot tub was perfect for evenings after a day on the beach. But this place has seen wear and tear, and really could use some TLC. It was comfortable and spacious, though, and the electric fireplace in the living room definitely took the chill off the damp evenings.

We stayed here years ago and was hoping to enjoy this house again. But it has really fallen apart. Sofa sleeper was broken, the fridge was pretty dirty, must have been crab in there and not cleaned. Clogged drain in the suite above garage. Wasnt very clean. For what we paid, I expected more. Won't be staying here again...

This house is not a “charming” beach house, it’s just old and run down. Issues we had with our stay (which were communicated privately with Vacasa and they did not respond to):
- The main house smells like urine. Overwhelmingly, not just the usual musty beach house smell.
- The entry code we received worked for the main house but not for the studio. We had to call twice and were eventually given several codes to try on multiple lockboxes located around the house, in which we subsequently ended up with a physical key to get into the studio with.
- The studio does not have internet (the wifi signal from the main house does not reach the studio, and there is no router in the studio itself). With 4 teenagers in our group who were staying in the studio this was a big issue.
- The studio does not have cable tv. It only has an old DVD player. And with no wifi in the studio, streaming tv/movies on the Roku we brought with us wasn’t an option. Again, not great with 4 teenagers.
- Multiple window screens in the house are ripped, including the one on the sliding door in the master bedroom. With no air conditioning, and with the previously mentioned awful smell, the windows needed to be open most of the time and the ripped screens resulted in a lot of flies in the house.

The home itself and the room above the garage were fine. The communication with Vacasa was fine and the only reason I bumped the rating up from 2 star to 3.
No one at Vacasa knew the elock code to get into the room above the garage. Not even the guy that installed the elock. I (the renter) had to search for the backup key.
The supplies (or lack of) were NOT fine. Some of the folded linens were wet and musty so I had to wash them. The sheet set on one of the beds was still wet. Linen closet shelves were broken and linens not organized.
The kitchen supplies were crap. Flimsy, old, unusable utensils, pans and baking sheets. Tons of plates but only a few bowls. No storage containers. No bakeware. I asked for all of the above to be fixed and they did send someone with new supplies. You’re welcome future renters!
Lastly, the pull out couch had a hidden note under the cushion saying “broken do not use”. I needed that bed for my kids so I complained to Vacasa. They sent maintenance the next day and they showed me how to make it work. So maybe it’s not broken? Just has to be wriggled a certain to work? Not sure, but I used it all week. Vacasa should look into this.

Great location and space for larger group of people
This house was perfect for our group of 9, ranging from 8 to 65 years old! The house was clean, we did have to be diligent about not leaving any food out in the kitchen as there were ant friends wanting to assist us in eating it. We did arrive 30 mins after check in time and the cleaner was still at the property, we had to wait another 30 mins for her to finish up but she was very nice and showed us where everything was. Lots of games and towels for use in the house. The washer and dryer were great to have but it appears the washer has been leaking for some time and the floor underneath it was soft and a bit unstable. No rental is perfect but this was great for our group and we throughly enjoyed our time there. Would and probably will, rent again!

Okay for the price
The home was not equipped for preparing meals and said it was a 3 bedroom but only 2 in the house with studio above garage not accessible by people with disabilities

Nice and Convenient
The homes is within walking distance to Seaside and the Beach. It is clean and well stocked. The hot tub and fire pit were very nice. Plenty of space for a group. It is an older home that is very dated and run down but again very clean.

Charming Cottage and Guest House
The proximity to the Prom, city center and beach was fantastic. The parking spaces in the driveway were convenient since limited street parking is available. The obviously lived-in place was clean and smelled clean for an older home. The space was cabin-like and somewhat outdated (if that sort of thing is important to you) but suited our needs comfortably. Great backyard & deck entertaining space with hot tub and fire pit! We would definitely stay here again.

Very disappointed - photos misrepresented property
My husband and I were looking forward to 5 days in Seaside. What we found was very disappointing. The following things did not work: DVD players, regular TV (we did get Netflix to work), one mattress was a sink hole the other one was hard, sugar ants on kitchen counters, refrigerator had broken shelf, had to call maintenance to get hot tub to work, had to call maintenance to get the gas fireplace to turn on but the thermostat did not work, could not open the blinds, front window partially covered with white stain, broken dining room chairs, broken table in bedroom, plants grown up in front of windows-made kitchen dark, ping pong table is photographed as a full sized table but in reality was a child size table, furniture in VRBO photos is NOT the actual furniture-actual furniture was barely functional and not the quality of the photos. As it turned out we left a day early. It was just not an enjoyable place to be. I truly hope that someone from VACASA or VRBO checks into this property. It was very disappointing. The photos completely misrepresent what is actually there.

Great Family Place
My family and I loved this place! My oldest daughter brought her dog and he had a great time too. This home has so many amenities you would want. It was nice to be able to use the hot tub and gas tables for a little fire pit. It is so close to the beach too, so that is awesome! The beds were comfortable. If you like making meals, the downstairs kitchen was well-stocked with tools/appliances, but I would recommend bringing some condiments from home if you can. All in all, it is a great place for a family vacation.

Not at all as pictured!
The positive was that it was close to the beach and downtown access. But there were many negatives. First the pictures of the main house were totally different than what it was really like. I think they may have staged it with an extra light to look light and open. The furniture in the picture was also different. The living room was drab and run down. The lamp in the living room shorted out and sparks flew when touched- wires on the cord were exposed!! It blew a fuse!
The kitchen was poorly stocked and the items in the kitchen were poor quality. It was good that we did not plan on cooking in it. There was not enough toilet paper in the house for 9 people, two days. The back screen door was complete broken, and other areas of the house in disrepair. The arm that held the hot tub cover was broken and had been jerry-rigged in an attempt to fix it. The hot tub was murky.
The additional apartment was new and in good repair. The only thing was, the smoke alarm chirped all night the first night. In the early morning upon investigating, it wasn’t wired correctly. And the chirping was from a plug-in smoke detector that was on the floor behind the garbage chirping low battery.
The foos ball table was the one thing that was new and in good repair. We loved that!
We won’t return to this house.

Garage apartment great for responsible teens. Clean & fresh! Great hot tub & fire pit. Easy walk to the Promenade!

Cute house
The house and garage was nice. Only downside that I found was that the hot tub was not clean and had a horrible smell. The little apartment above the garage is perfect for a little family. Lots of room. Will look at renting this place again next year.

Nice place to stay!
Thanks again! This is our second time staying here with our kids and dog- we enjoying staying here- plenty of space and comfortable beds. Great for families- close walk to the prom and beach. Washer and dryer are very handy with kids! Older home but it’s great for the beach! Thanks for letting us stay again!

Nice place
We had a great time. Weather was awesome! Loved having a hot tub after running around on the beach. We will be staying there again in the future. Our only issue was with the door locks.

Nice for traveling with pet.
Great place for trip with our dogs. Backyard great. Close walk to beach.
If you want upscale in Seaside look at the condominiums. If you want an old school beach house with a yard for the dog this is your place. Would be great if traveling with teens because of the studio above the garage.

Great for Teenagers !!!
Having the space above the garage worked out really well for our kids and their friends. The fenced in yard was a plus if you are bringing your dogs. A quick 5 minute walk to the beach.

ANTS EVERYWHERE !
There was ants everywhere! The counters, floors, in the fridge, and if you sit down for a min they are on you too. The fridge is falling apart! The washer leaks and the floor under washer is rotted out. The floors are uneven, the hot tub doesn’t heat up very well fire pit is rusted out. The pealette Has Ants and no plastic shower curtain. The living room in the pearl smelled like dog piss !

Nice house, bad customer service
The house is in a good location and has a lot of room - older but well maintained with a new deck and nice hot tub.
Problem is with customer service. Back yard was full of someone else’s dog poop when we showed up, and deck, while new, had a ton of loose screws everywhere. Lawn service showed up one afternoon and let themselves in the gated yard without advance notification - scary. I contacted Vacasa twice about these issues - no response or explanation. Unfortunate given the high fees for cleaning and service.
So probably one of those places that if everything goes right, it’s great, but if something goes wrong, you are out of luck.

Weird but good stay
House was clean and hot tub was clean. Nice new deck in back yard. The smoke and power outage was an extra part of our adventure, but they had flashlights available and obviously could not do anything about the smoke. It made a pretty beautiful sunset thougH!

Great place for a group!
Property was in order and had all necessary items for a group to stay! Some of the furniture was a little smelly but that is okay. Hot tub was nice, ping pong table is miniature. Easy access to beach!

Perfect location, close to beach and downtown area
This house was perfect for our group of 8! Great location and had all the amenities one could possibly need! The only complaint would be the ping pong table wasn't a real size ping pong table, more of a miniature version. There were some disappointed husbands lol. Overall the stay was great!
