SALE THRU April 2024: book 3 or more nights, get 1 night FREE. A Tickfaw River rental with Hot tub! After hurricane Ida damage, the Reel McCoy River Retreat is back and now has 4 bedrooms plus a bunkroom, 3.5 bathrooms, game room (with pool table/ice maker/big screen tv), covered downstairs seating/play area that overlooks the river, fish cleaning station and pier on the banks of the Tickfaw River. Our lighthouse camp has a fantastic view of the Louisiana Tickfaw River that you do not want to miss! Beautiful sunrises and sunsets! Great river fun for all ages!

Near New Orleans and Baton Rouge our rental is perfect for a week long family vacation or even a weekend getaway. With the moss filled cypress trees and nearby Cajun cuisine, you will really get a taste of Louisiana culture! The Reel McCoy River Retreat is located on the main river between Tin Lizzy's and the Prop Stop (near Lake Maurepas)!

If you come to the “Reel McCoy River Retreat” for an adventure, you can participate in many watersports right in front of the camp. You can fish from the deck and swim, tube, kneeboard, ski, wakeboard, etc. You can play pool in the game room! Or you can watch the activity from the deck on the banks of the river. Our entire family has had a blast on the Tickfaw River for the past 20 years & I'm sure your family will too!

If you come to relax, you can enjoy a nice, quiet sunrise/sunset with a great view! You can read a book with the peaceful surroundings. You can soak in the hot tub overlooking the river. You can bring inflatables and relax in the water! You can take pictures of the Louisiana scenery and may be lucky enough to see one of the several American bald eagles that call the Tickfaw river their home.

Great location on the Tickfaw River with exceptional views. Very short boat ride to the Riverside Marina and Boopaloos! The neighbors were very friendly and helpful and the owners were as well. We will certainly be booking here again.

Our family had a great time staying in this spacious camp with a wonderful location on the river, beautiful views, fishing & swimming off the pier, convenient boat dock & well equipped interior space. It is an older camp but does have renovated bathrooms & kitchen & a new washer & dryer.

The river house was very cozy, homey feeling. The inside was roomy in the living and dining room areas. Great WiFi and TVs throughout. Waterfront dock area was great for fishing. Game room in the boat house was a fan favorite! Owners were very accommodating and great communicators.

My husband went on an all guys trip to fish and hang out as a group. They all had so much fun and absolutely loved the place. The owners were great, they were accommodating and friendly. They made sure we were informed of high tide coming in. Overall a great trip for them.

Our family was very happy with our stay at the Reel McCoy River Retreat. It was refreshing and relaxing. I enjoyed my morning coffee on the deck of the boat house overlooking the river! There was plenty of room for the family to gather, but also plenty of space to stretch out. We had one person in our party that could not use the stairs and the first floor accommodations were perfect for her so she did not have to miss out. The kitchen was fully stocked and we chose to eat at the house. We cooked out on the grill and it was delicious. The family had a fantastic time fishing off the dock and everyone caught at least one fish! The boat house was a nice touch and provided a place for some sibling rivalry on the pool table! The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The master shower was like a spa! Our Louisiana family is already asking when we will be back to rent this beautiful home! A good time was had by all!!! A note about the owner. Teri was very easy to work with. All of my communications were answered quickly. We had a hurricane/storm situation for our original dates and we were able to reschedule with ease. We will definitely be back.

We love this home. It is the second time we have stayed. The owners are wonderful. The house has everything you need and more. We loved sitting outside and looking at the river. We went to Lake Maurepas and Blood River and it’s so beautiful and peaceful. The kids enjoyed tubing and swimming. After being locked in the house for months this was just what our family needed. Thank you so much.

We had just purchased a pontoon boat and wanted to experience the Tickfaw. It was minutes from a boat launch. and we were able to keep the boat in the water at the house during our stay. It was a great house to sit out on the deck and watch the boat traffic when we were not out on the water ourselves.
