The stunning view from the home overlooks Hebgen lake and mountains. The hot tub is amazing after a long day of hiking and touring Yellowstone. There was plenty of room for our party of 10. The house is only 15 min from town for groceries and the park entrance. We saw Bison just down the street. Bucky, the house manager was very kind & helpful. Enjoy!

Great house, and great host (Bucky).

All was great- location to Yellowstone, large house, great hot tub as bonus, kitchen well equipped.
(Only slight difference from apparent image is that there a highway between the house and the lake). Bucky was super friendly and responsive. Family gathering from all over US- all give it a double thumbs up.

Plenty of room for everyone. Close to West Yellowstone entrance. Bucky (property manager) was very helpful and knowledgable. Also great views of the lake.

The property was everything that we expected and more. It was perfect for a group of 12, adults and kids. It is conveniently located to many attractions at Yellowstone, but yet still feels like we were in the mountains to ourselves. The cabin is well supplied with everything we needed except food, of course. Bucky, the caretaker, was very attentive, and helped us with everything that we needed. We would definitely stay at the property again if we ever get the chance.

The property was great. Authentic Montana lodge feel with rustic decor. Lots of room. Property had everything we needed for our stay. Property Manager Bucky was outstanding in terms of responsiveness. He shared great info and advice on visiting Yellowstone, fishing, and local wildlife. Would book this property again.

Great facilities! We all enjoyed it but disappointed hot tub wasn’t working.

This house exceeded my expectations. There were 8 of us aged 11 to 74. The rooms were large - the kitchen has 2 ovens, 2 microwaves, 2 dishwashers and 2 coffee pots. The hot tub was a family favorite every night. Bucky the caretaker was just a text away and was very responsive although we had little reason to text him ("Where did you say the toilet paper was?"). I would highly recommend this rental.

Responsiveness of Owner & Caretaker
Our family very much enjoyed staying at the Snider's place! The views of the Hebgen Lake are outstanding! The house is comfortable and spacious; plenty of space for our family of 16! Darryl Snider and Bucky, the caretaker, were so responsiveness no matter what the questions or needs were. And, the jacuzzi was so relaxing at the end of a sightseeing day and with a view to die for! Thank you!

Breathtaking views.
The house was perfect and Bucky the caretaker was wonderful and gave us great advice about our travels around Yellowstone. The only thing we can say is that the views from the house are more spectacular than you see on this listing. Having four full bathrooms was great for our large family group. Overall, it was an unforgettable trip at a wonderful property.

Great location
The house had great views and was 20 minutes from YNP. Fit our 14 person group with no problem. Loved the kitchen and dining area for function and social interaction.

Amazing
If you want to have an amazing time experiencing yellowstone, Montana, or just getting away and being in a beautiful cabin/area, this place met all the marks. Buck is as hands off or on as you want him to be but he is always down or willing to help. If I'm ever back in the area I want to be at this location.

log cabin by the lake
Wonderful cabin, the milieu could only have been better if the fires in the west were not raging. Cabin was wonderful in the interior and accommodations were more than sufficient. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and was great for our group of 13. The only problem we had was no 'internet' but this is really the only issue we had, being so remote and it being down, they did not have enough time to get in the providers schedule, c'est la vie, we talked more, looked at our phones less, and watched a good bit of the Olympics. Last thing was the nearness to the Yellowstone entrance, 15 minute drive, and really a hop, skip and a jump from Big Sky and Bozeman.

Beautiful and spacious
This property was beautiful and had so much space for our extended family vacation - there were 11 of us in total and the space worked perfectly. The kids loved the home theater and we all loved the hot tub! The kitchen was huge and served as a great gathering spot for meals. We also loved the porch swing and spent our "happy hours" swinging and looking at the lake and mountains. We loved this cabin!

Yellowstone vacation
We feel very fortunate to have found this house for our first family Tripp to Yellowstone. Only a 15 min drive to the west entrance. Was a great week and everything was perfect. Bucky, the caretaker...what a great guy! Highly recommend staying at this house.

Dream Getaway
extremely comfortable, well equipped home only 15 miles from the west entrance of yellowstone. It is on the lake with stunning views and you can easily spend your time relaxing in and arund the house. It was hard for us to leave and visit the park because the home and the surroundings were so great. Bucky the caretaker lives on the property (in an annexe) and is very responsive and helpful. The wifi can be spotty but who needs the internet when you are surrounded by a piece of heaven. Will hopefully be back.

AMAZING AS ALWAYS!
This was the fourth year in a row we have rented this house. Each year our trip is more amazing than the last. The house is nothing short but amazing, and the caretaker Bucky is there to assist with anything you may need.

Great house, gorgeous location.
Family of 11 stayed here to celebrate Grandpa's 70th birthday!! This is s terrific house, huge!! Three generations here and room and privacy for all. Home is very comfortable and fully equipped with everything we could possibly need. We visited Yellowstone several times, Big Sky and had 2 lovely days doing water sports on the lake. Bucky the caretaker is terrific. Responded to questions immediately and very helpful. I would highly recommend this home. We are VRBO owners ourselves and have high expectations. All ours were met. Thank-you Darryl, Justin and Bucky!! Susan and Charles

BEST VACATION EVER
We just returned from a wonderful trip to Montana and Yellowstone. Our 9 yr old granddaughter said this was "The Best Vacation Ever" We stayed for a week at the lovely Snider home/cabin. We were a family of 10 people and had plenty of room. The home is well appointed with beautiful art work throughout. It is well equipped with washer and two dryers, two dishwashers and lots of room in the kitchen to prepare meals for many. The views from the home are incredible, lake views from several rooms and porches and forest views
from other windows. The house is only 15 miles from the West Gate of Yellowstone. After visits to Yellowstone Park we would jump in the hot tub and enjoy beautiful sunsets in the mountains.
We enjoyed activities on the lake. We had a variety of weather from warm to a hail storm. Loved all the weather changes. We also had a great time on a 3 hour trail ride at Diamond P Ranch.
Another highlight was the media room. All ages enjoyed watching movies. Bucky the caretaker who lives on the property was so very helpful.
We hope to someday return to this Ultimate Montana Experience. Thank you Sniders for sharing this bit of Paradise with us.

Amazing Home, Amazing Vacation
This home is the perfect place for a family vacation. We had 3 families (10 people) and there was more than enough room for everyone. In the evening, this house was the family meeting spot for other relatives staying in the area. The home is so spacious there was room for everyone to eat dinner, visit and catch up.
The house is beautifully decorated. The kitchen is large and has everything you could possibly need. The hot tub was a huge hit with a wonderful view. By far the best part is the amazing view. The lake view changes throughout the day and it is simply gorgeous! After a day of hiking in the park, it was great to unwind with a glass of wine on the porch swing.
It is just a short (and pretty) drive in to West Yellowstone and the entrance to the park. We also went horseback riding nearby. The caretaker onsite is both nice and very helpful. He answered all of our questions and gave us great suggestions for the best local activities.
I highly recommend this property!! It exceeded our expectations.

Excellent Experience, more than advertised
We have planned this Yellowstone trip for 2 years. And this cabin is the best choice you can get around yellowstone areas.
This is the best travelling experience ever for us and other 2 friends’ families. This cabin is much better than we can ever expect. The room is well decorated and designed, extremely spacious. Kids enjoyed living/family room (play games, watching TV). Media rooms are fascinating, we bring movies, both adult and kids can enjoy. Hot tubs are their favorite too.
Most important: Breathtaking view, we just love it. In the morning, we see fogs in the lake and mountains. At night, we enjoyed stars and galaxy in the sky. Moms all love the kitchen and cooking delicious foods.
We have 14 people starting age of 3 to the age of 80 from 4 families. Everyone loves it. We will definitely come back when we have a chance.

Wishing for the entire summer
This was our second year of spending a week in the beautiful cabin. Last year we used it for our first family vacation when we had our two sons and their families join us for the week. We had such a wonderful time that we came back again this year. And although we had discussed going to a different location next summer early in the week, by the end of the week we had decided to come back to this wonderful cabin in 2015. That should say everything that we need to say.
The cabin provides everything that you could possibly want in Montana mountain vacationing and as last year it was immaculate when we arrived. The high-end appliances mean that if you want to cook you can do it like a pro. If you don't want to cook indoors, the grill on the outside is great for burgers or steaks, we've done both. The view from the balconies is breath-taking. The size of the cabin means that adults and children each get their space and everyone is happier for it. The kids loved the media room. The location is perfect...only a few minutes to Yellowstone NP, West Yellowstone, Big Sky and the fascinating earthquake lake. You can also walk down to the lake for swimming or fishing. This year we went just down the road to the Kirkland Marina and rented a pontoon boat for an afternoon of fun and fishing. The new restaurant within walking distance right next door, Lakeside Overlook, is a great addition with very good food, local micro-brews and the excitement of the horseshoe tournaments. This year we went to Big Sky and took the Lone Mountain Experience and it was great. Using a chairlift, a open air truck and the tram, you make your way to the top of Lone Mountain some 16,200 feet in altitude. We had from 6 years to 68 years and everyone had a great time. The Kids even had a snowball battle at the top. You also should try Bucks T-4 restaurant in Big Sky for great food.
Pulling everything together is a friendly and helpful caretaker who makes everything go smoothly. He can give you all the info you need for fishing in the area.
If you want to experience Montana at its best, this is the place.

We just got back from a wonderful week at this property. Everyone in our party had a great time. The house was well laid out and equipped. It even had a DVR. It is a pleasant scenic drive to the Park entrance. In fact the views from the house overlooking the lake were magnificent. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The caretaker, Bucky, who lives on the property was very friendly and accommodating. I would heartily recommend this property if you are coming to stay in the West Yellowstone area.

Relaxing Spacious Log Cabin with lake and moutain view
Wow!!! We were amazed upon entering the cabin. The kitchen area was huge. The marble bar area was perfect for spreading out our stuff and packing our lunches each day before we drove the 20 min. drive into Yellowstone Park. There was plenty of pantry space, 2 dishwashers, 2 ovens, and a new stovetop. Also plenty of refrigerator and freezer space. We made almost all our meals and enjoyed family time around the huge dining room table. The view was specular from any window or balcony in the cabin. We made smores several nights in the fireplace and wood burning stove. We enjoyed sitting around the fire and watching a little TV some of the evenings. Other evenings we got in the hot tub and enjoyed the mountain view. Bucky and his dog Sadie, lived downstairs and were available if we needed help or had questions. He was very helpful about the area and we had lots of questions about hiking and 4 wheeling and fishing and bears and on and on and on. Bucky always had time for our questions.
Having a washer and dryer on site was very handy. There was detergent and even 2 dryers available. All paper products were supplied as well. There was no AC but we never needed it and we went in June. We were always comfortable and enjoyed just hanging out at the cabin after sightseeing all morning in Yellowstone Park.
We travel every year to a different place and usually rent a house to accommodate our large family. We loved the house and location. The Synder family is very fortunate to have such a outgoing caretaker. His role was invaluable to our stay.

There was plenty of pantry space, 2 dishwashers, 2 ovens, and a new stovetop. Also plenty of refrigerator and freezer space. We made almost all our meals and enjoyed family time around the huge dining room table. We recommend you buy your groceries in Bozeman if your flying into the Bozeman Airport. There is more of a selection and prices are much better in Bozeman. The view was specular from any window or balcony in the cabin. We made smores several nights in the fireplace and wood burning stove. We enjoyed sitting around the fire and watching a little TV some of the evenings. Great House and quiet location
Just returned from a 3 family reunion (7 adults and 4 kids). The house is clean and well maintained especially the bathrooms. Loved the full size washer and dryer. They also stock the house with basic staples such as paper towels, toilet papers and plenty of towels! There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out. The kitchen is large, well stocked with dishes and utensils that making cooking a breeze. Very large refrigerator too as well as a smaller refrigerator in the bar area in the living room. Outdoor gas grill was very nice too! Big dining table that sits 8 plus two counter areas to put the kids or other adults. All of the pictures are accurate and really do not do the property justice. The view of the lake is wonderful and it can be seen as you do the dishes as well as from the front porch. Do note that there is a 2 lane road between the house and the lake that the pictures do not show. You can hear traffic at night from the third floor bedroom (if you have the windows open) although traffic is very light on the road. The bunk room worked great for the kids but could use a bit more lighting since there are no windows in the room it got very dark at night. We loved that the house was 14 miles from Yellowstone and the town of West Yellowstone because it was quiet and away from tourist central. . But it does make going into town to the two small grocery stores a bit of a task (30 min trip). Recommend that you stock up as much as possible in Bozeman because the two grocery stores are very small and very expensive! The caretakers (Wes, Moria and their dog Willa) are great hosts and able to answer questions about the area. The house is a 1 hour drive from Old Faithful inside of the park. We used Montana Whitewater in Gallatin Gateway (1 hr and 15 min drive north) for rafting. Highly recommend them. Also do the Yellow Bus Tour inside of Yellowstone. For an awesome breakfast (if you don't want to cook) drive further down the lake about 7 miles to an RV/Cabin area. Just ask Wes. Huge breakfast portions and view of the river!

Fabulous Vacation Spot!
We just returned from a family vacation in this home and we couldn't be happier about the time we spent there! The house is very large and beautifully appointed in a style that perfectly suits the location on Hebgen Lake. In short, it had lots of "WOW" factor, which made it all the more fun as a vacation destination. We had 13 people (8 adults and 5 children) and there was more than enough room for everyone. As other guests have said, the pictures don't do justice to this great vacation home! The kitchen, master suite and living room were particularly amazing and the 10 foot tall grizzly bear in the foyer was the perfect touch for a mountain home! This was our first experience using VRBO.com, but I'm sure it won't be the last! The owners of this home made all the planning easy and the on-site caretakers were very friendly and helpful. The location near Yellowstone Park meant there was always plenty to see and do, but we also enjoyed just spending time at the house because the views from every room were spectacular and the house had plenty of amenities! I would highly recommend this spot to anyone, especially if you just want to "get away from it all"!

Western Wonderland
The family gathers annually for a destination vacation. This location and home far exceeded our expectations. The house was perfect for our group of 9, comfortable and open. Each room is very well appointed with all the amenities. It was clean and well stocked. The photos do not do it justice. The yard was perfect for the children to play ball, run, toss water balloons. In addition the view of the lake is magnificent and the children could walk down to fish.
The owner was very helpful and responded to my e-mails promptly. Moreover, the caretakers were exceptionally kind and full of wonderful suggestions for activities in the area. We enjoyed several days in Yellowstone Park, spent a day whitewater rafting, and found the Wolf and Bear exhibit in West Yellowstone very educational in an entertaining manner. For children age 5-12, there is an opportunity to 'feed the bears' but you must sign up early the same day. Well worth it. For photographers, hikers, fishermen, nature lovers, it is a paradise.
We highly recommend this property and hope to return again.

Wonderful location close to Yellowstone but away from the crowds
The cabin is spacious, immaculate, and beautiful. Hebgen lake is beautiful, somewhat secluded, yet conveniently close to West Yellowstone and the park entrance. The caretakers are friendly and very helpful. I can't imagine that we could have found a nicer place to rent in the West Yellowstone or Hebgen area. CHECK THIS ONE OUT before looking elsewhere!

A really great place for groups large and small
My family uses VRBO for most of our vacations. This home home truly beat our expectations. The home is situated in a very convenient area to all attractions. It was a wonderful place to call home after each afternoon exploring Yellowstone, the Tetons, and surrounding attractions. The appliances were all top of the line, and the home has everything you need for planning dinners. The caretakers of the property were super helpful and did a wonderful job managing the property on a day to day basis. We had a party of 10 (2 families), and their was plenty of room for the entire group to have personal space. After our trip, we discussed how much money we saved renting this property vs. rooms in Yellowstone; plus, rooms in Yellowstone would not have come close to comparing to the quality, space, and beauty of this home. The home has extended views of the lake from all front and side windows.......perfect!

Outstanding vacation home
This home is a wonderful place to spend a vacation with family and friends. The house is spectacular and very comfortable, and very well take care of by the owner and their care keeper. The kitchen is as well equipped and there is large storage for food and drinks. The house sits high above the highway giving unobstructed views of Lake Hebgen and the surrounding mountains and it is a short drive from West Yellowstone where there is good shopping for groceries and asundry items. Our family is eager to return for another wonderful vacation.
