It was a wonderful cabin and a great experience, however, I would say that I expected it to be surrounded by more if nature and less houses. I think the marketing needs to be changed.

We were looking for a place that was a little more rugged so the kids could step away from the world for a bit. This cabin has the things you need and want, but also allows for you to unplug. We had a view of the lake from the porch and plenty of places for our kids to sleep. The only thing that was a bummer was the mosquitos were very thick outside, but there was bug spray provided which was a nice touch. Thank you for a lovely vacation!

Cool rustic cabin well decorated and stocked with necessities. Perfect location for our Yellowstone adventures. Close enough for easy access but not in the crowded town.

My family of 6 stayed at this cabin. It was spacious enough for all of us. Gorgeous views of the lake. Good distance from Yellowstone Park. The stars were amazing at night!

This is a small rustic cabin, perfect for a family. The location is excellent for access to Yellowstone. It’s a few miles outside West Yellowstone and is isolated without being overly so. The views are spectacular!

We absolutely loved the property! It was the perfect location and much larger on the inside than it looked from the outside. Fit us all perfectly! It’s well stocked and has everything we needed!

This property is less then 20 miles from the town and the west entrance to Yellowstone. The cabin was perfect and the views can't be beat. Everything is there including a cooler and bear spray!

Perfect place for being outside of West Yellowstone touristy stuff and still super close to west entrance of Yellowstone. The view of the lake was gorgeous from morning through sunset! The cabin had everything we needed. Highly recommend! Also, Big Horn Bar at the end of the road- loved the cocktails and beer selection!

We loved our stay at this cabin while visiting Yellowstone and the Tetons. Convenient to West Yellowstone. Very quiet and peaceful - and fully stocked with everything you need including a cooler. If you are there during the summer, visit the Earthquake Lake Visitor Center and roadside markers. The restaurant and bar on the corner had recently reopened under new owners and had good food and drinks (I highly recommend the Cowboy Up with house made huckleberry). I would definitely stay here again and hope to be back.

This cabin couldn't possibly be any cozier. If you're lucky enough to stay here, you will feel like you're stepping into a historical cabin in a bubble of privacy, while also being spoiled with perfect cleanliness and more supplies and organization then you'd think possible. Our family of five will never forget this place!

The cabin is snug, efficient, and charming. It has terrific lake views and is convenient to West Yellowstone. It is our third visit and we will be back.

We played horseshoes and watched the sun set over the lake. We were all by ourselves. We made foil dinners on a campfire. It was perfect.

Family trip to area to visit Yellowstone National Park and to relax. So glad we chose to stay in the Hebgen Lake area and this cute cabin. Beautiful location. Relaxing at the end of the day. Headed to Jackson Hole and Grand Tetons now.

Our family of four fully enjoyed this relaxing oasis away from the hustle bustle of town. Great location to escape to at the end of a busy day in the park. The cabin was clean and as described, communication with the host was great. We recommend this cabin and would stay again.

The cabin and view exceeded my expectations. Cabin was well stocked with cooking essentials so that helped a lot as I did not have to run back out to the store to cook something. View from front porch of cabin is great. About a 20 minute drive to Yellowstone entrance.

We had an amazing time staying at this cabin. Not only the property if clean, but also furnished of all the amenities that we needed. The views of the lake are amazing, the kitchen is furnished with everything we possibly needed to cook every meal. The mattresses are very comfortable. I highly recommend it if you don’t like the more commercial setting of west Yellowstone.

Our family of four stayed here while visiting Yellowstone. The location and cabin was perfect! While it may look small, there was plenty of room for us all! We enjoyed the friendly fox that stopped by, too!!

We enjoyed our stay very much! Bob is an attentive owner. We were really wanting to stay one more night but it was booked! We were very disappointed. The location is in a very quiet neighborhood across from Hebgen lake. The west Yellowstone entrance is just a few minutes away, convenient without being in the chaos. Thank you Bob for sharing your historical home with us, I have a beautiful picture that would look great in there!

Very unique property just 18 minutes or so from West Yellowstone. We enjoyed it and recommend it to others. They had all the comforts available and new appliances. The bedrooms are all upstairs, so it could be a challenge for some to carry the luggage up the the stairs. Since it was just my husband and me, we chose to keep them downstairs. The heater is in a very awkward place under the stairwell that requires you to crawl under it to adjust, but you shouldn't have to do that often. The bed was comfortable. It may be warm in the summer as there is no AC. They did have portable floor fans in the bedroom. Overall we enjoyed our short stay.

I was looking for something away from West Yellowstone for our 2 day Yellowstone National Park trip and this cabin fit the bill! Accurate listing. Comfortable bedding and living / dining area. Excellent little deck out front to watch sunsets. I’d stay again if I’m in the area.

The cabin is cosy and very clean. It has everything you need. And, best of all, it has spectacular views of Hebgen Lake and is a short drive to Yellowstone. We enjoyed it thoroughly!

Probably our favorite place on a month long travel journey
This cabin is the real deal. Cute as a button, bigger than it looks and well stocked with all you need, games, and the most awe-inspiring sunsets. There is a resident fox which comes to visit each morning and night.
Enjoy the firepit while watching the sunset or playing horseshoes.
20 min to west yellowstone (out of the fray) and appointed with cool vintage sinks.
we loved it. thank you.
also; for families with young kids, the bar and grill at the end of the road is not as friendly as it looks. seems they prefer locals only and certainly not welcoming to kids.
we’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

The Perfect Cabin For Our Family!
I was in the area to run the Yellowstone Half Marathon, and this cabin provided the perfect retreat after my race- and after days of hiking in the Park. I can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful and cozy cabin!
My husband and I rented this adorable cabin with our 3 -year-old son. Our friends and their 2 children stayed with us as well. It was a fantastic experience! There was plenty room for all 7 of us. The cabin is cozy and warm (it was cold and snowed every day so that was important) and it had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked, shower water pressure was great, and the washer/dryer came in handy after exploring in snowy and rainy conditions all day. We had zero issues. The views are also unbelievably gorgeous. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Cozy cabin
Well insulated for the night chills. Stove was a huge plus and view of the lake was perfect. Owner was friendly and there to answer any questions. Abundance of games and puzzles when you want to relax and enjoy the cabin and nature scenery. No complaints for our expectations. We look forward to staying again.

Johnson Creek Cabin MT.
We have stayed there before while snowmobiling with family and it fit our needs perfectly! This time we choose to go a bit later and everything was as before perfect for our needs, very rustic the old wood stove is fantastic for warming up quick and drying snow gear. Could not say enough good about the place including the location is great and what a view. My only issue with the whole experience I believe lays with the VRBO billing. When agreement was made one week stay or more received a discount, the owner, since this was a return visit also discounted 1 night(very thoughtful). However , I was billed for only weekly discount no one night off additional. All was paid in full 6 weeks prior to our arrival. When asked about the one night addition discount I was told they were having problems processing it. Then received confermation on $69 refund. Upon questioning the amount a whole itemized list was provided showing full price with no weekly discount then applied the one night discount and I received the difference. So my suggestion to anyone dealing with VRBO , make sure you have everything in writing up front before final agreement is made!

Breathtaking
Property is very well represented on the website. It was clean and everything needed was provided. I would suggest a new coffee pot, new extra pillows and new dishwasher. Other than those, which are not deal breakers, the cabin is perfect. Out where you can hear silence in the winter, summer I would suspect is different with the lake so close! Beautiful surroundings. Thanks for a great get away from it all vacation!
