The location was great. There was plenty to do for myself, teenage kids and my parents. The easy access to the lake with the kayaks and to watch the sunset was amazing. The house was clean and had everything we needed to make the stay fun, relaxing and enjoyable. My mom even asked if we would consider going back again next year. Marty was helpful and hospitable.

We had 3 generations of our family converge on this house and we had a wonderful time. It had easy access to the lake for those who are good with stairs. We enjoyed swimming, kayaking, hiking, fishing, shopping, and sunrise coffee on the decks. Marty was a great host!

Property was well equipped, clean and had the most beautiful views! Marty the owner was very available to answer questions about the property and area. We very much enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property. Gravel road leading to property and several other properties so need to drive slowly up the drive which is not very long so no big deal.

We had such a great week and loved the house. Stayed with six adults and five kids (ages 4-11). Everyone absolutely loved the house and location. Beautiful views of the lake off the decks and easy access for swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding. There were two kayaks at the house, and we brought our own paddle board, extra kayaks, and floats/water toys.
Bedrooms were spacious with large, comfortable beds, and there was AC in every room, which helped keep the house cool and dry. Hot water in all the showers that seemed to never run out was an extra bonus.
Highly recommend the house and would definitely go back!

We stayed at Marty's wonderful property on Lake Champlain for a few days during our 25-year Middlebury College reunion. It was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL.
The house is very comfortable and it's easy to feel at home here. Most mornings we headed outside to swim from our own dock, greeting the morning along with the birds and squirrels. The decks have gorgeous views, and are furnished to make it comfortable to spend hours there: chairs, tables, a large awning, etc. We didn't use the kayaks, but it was clear that it would've been very easy to launch them from the dock.
Marty is the perfect host: we had great communication whenever we reached out, and Marty made sure we had all the information we needed, but we were left alone to just enjoy the house and relax.
We would return to Marty's property in a heartbeat... in fact, as we friends scattered to our various corners of the USA following our shared vacation, we've joked about running back up to Vermont as soon as we can. We all miss being there already!
Thanks, Marty, for a truly wonderful stay. Hopefully we'll be back again before long!

Comfortable, high end furnishings and a quiet neighborhood. The home is lake side and we spent many hours out on the back deck. Shaded by an electric awning made afternoons a delight. Everything, from the bedding to the entertainment areas were super comfortable. My dealing with the host family felt like I was talking to my old neighbors. We found the surrounding towns to be places to visit again. Wasn't at all disappointed.

The title of this home is perfect... Newly renovated lake house... It was our most comfortable VRBO rental ever, where the pictures UNDERstate the size and comfort of the living area, dining room (with a gorgeous table for 10!), and bedrooms (super comfortable beds and linens)!
We loved our morning kayaks on the lake and sunset drinks on the deck!

The pictures and videos are on the spot; seeing it in person is BEYOND impressive! We had four adults, three children, and one dog.
The house is immaculate, clean, and dust-free. The renovations make the house one of the top five places we have ever stayed.
All kitchen cooking, serving, and utensils are uniformed. The decks for coffee and views from the bedrooms make the mornings delightful. The sunsets are striking over the distant mountain range and lake.
The kids' multi-bed Room was spacious enough to get away from the adults. The bedding was super comfy in every room.
The checkout is at 9 a.m., which is challenging, but they say you can ask for additional time. They do not ask too much before leaving; you can strip bedding, run the dishwasher, and start a load of towels. There are plenty of paper products, trash bags, and cleaning supplies.
We have a special needs dog, and entry was just a few steps. There is no “yard” for the dog, but a nice walk down to the water, friendly neighbors, and access if they love water. Don’t worry about no yard; the back decks and access to the water will make up for it!!!
Suggestions: Key code for entry (Helpful for multiple guests who arrive at different times or do other things during their stay). Make the Wi-Fi password available on the info sheet, as not everyone knows to look at the router—a few games, cards, and paper/pen for game nights. And I do love a good Guest Journal!!!

Great location with spectacular views of magnificent lake Champlain. Sunsets, Moon sets and everything you could want for an enjoyable get away. Kitchen fully stocked for cooking great meals and the views from the living room are off the charts. Can't wait to return when there is less than a foot of snow on the deck! Still made it out to the Grill and the host could not have been more accomodating. A++

We had a great stay on Lake Champlain. This VRBO is in a beautiful setting and was a wonderful spot for our family to spend time together during the holiday. The house is very modern and was well equipped to host our extended family of 10.

Lovely home with plenty of beds, large dining room table and lots of seating in the living room. Beautiful view of the lake and mountains out the large picture window. It rained all weekend so we did not spend much time in the deck.

We loved this stay! Marty was so helpful when the power went out, due to a bad storm. He answered all of our calls quickly.
The renovations were lovely! The beds we’re some of the most comfortable I’ve slept on in years.
I would highly recommend this!

A Fabulous Vermont location on lake Champlain. Great biking area.
It has been totally updated , wonderful beautiful wooden furniture and very comfortable beds. nice linen and towels provided.Very clean and well stocked with cleaning and paper supplies. We were 5 female friends all in our 60s. We had a wonderful very relaxing getaway. A few minor glitches with the brand new appliances… little to no ice in freeze/refrigerator seemed off not really cold . Both didn’t seemed to be working up to par. Stove only would go to Celsius temperature. Super hot. Could be dangerous high .
All and all . We had a wonderful time . Definitely an amazing spot and super accommodation .

We loved everything about this stay. The location, the lake front with dock for swimming and kayaking, the views and proximity to many State parks and Burlington. Beautifully renovated with spacious rooms, well supplied and appointed kitchen, huge deck for the sunsets and room enough to relax for everyone. Everything was thought of and our host couldn’t have been more helpful. Will return!

We were very happy to find this house on VRBO as we were doing all the cooking for family weekend at Button Bay Park. Quick drive to the park, well-stocked kitchen with two refrigerators, big covered front porch where we could "stage" all the coolers. All that +++ a great lakefront view!

This is a great property for a family of two adults and a bunch of children. It is not so good for 2 adult couples. The upstairs bedroom has no closet, the lighting is limited, the two other bedrooms with slanted ceilings has problems if you are in 5' 8" or taller. But the biggest downfall is that the upstairs bathroom with the slanted ceiling means you hit your head on the ceiling everytime you use the sink. You can only see from your chin down looking in the mirror. The steps to the upstairs are quite steep and the banister does not reach the doorway level, so you have to be extremely careful going downstairs, especially with luggage.
We had a major problem when we arrived. Our friend has limited mobility and there was no railing to help her get up the four steps to reach the porch, so she fell trying to get up the steps. HOWEVER, to his credit, the homeowner, Marty D'Onofrio, was able to get a handyman to the house the next morning, on Labor Day. He and I built a very sturdy railing that worked fine for the rest of our visit and we are truly appreciative of his immediate response!

Property was beautiful. Great location for families, plenty of room.

This is a great house for a vacation. We had a great time with myself and my partner and my daughter and her partner and their 4 children. There was more than enough room for everyone, even on the 1 day that it rained.
The location is fabulous! It was quiet. The lake was quiet (not a lot of speedboat or Jet Ski traffic) and there was never any other noise from any neighboring properties.
The sunsets are stunning over the mountains.
Having the A/C in the property was a huge help this year. While probably most years it isn't needed, this year with the temperatures being so warm, it was fabulous to be able to have the house cool and dry.
Marty is very accommodating and helpful. VERY responsive to questions and suggestions about the local area. A great landlord!
All in all, a very comfortable and great getaway for us.
Thanks, Marty!

The views from the deck and living room area are spectacular and five-star! The house is spacious and was more than adequate for our family of five adults and two children. There were some concerns and issues, however, that lead me to give the property only three stars. First and foremost, the steps to the water either lack railings, lack railings on two sides, or have an unsecure railing. I did not feel safe for myself or the children. The bed in the master bedroom was old, uncomfortable, and very squeaky. The air conditioner right above the bed leaked a significant amount of water on the pillows. We appreciated having a/c throughout, but they were mostly installed in a slapdash way with duck tape (quite an eyesore). The a/c in the master bedroom actually had a cutting board wedged underneath it for support. I would have liked more information, like a welcome book, on how to use the TV, where to get groceries, favorite eating spots, etc. There were enough other small concerns to give this only 3 stars.

Great deck and views
Great place. The deck and views make this place. It is also very large and can hold a good size crew. Think classic lake house. We would stay again if we were in the area.

Beautiful and comfortable
The property was fantastic! We had a few minor maintenance issues that Marty was able to resolve quickly and easily, which was a great relief during a busy trip for a conference at Middlebury. The beds were comfortable and the views were incredible.

Stayed 3/18-3/21
The house was lovely, fully stoked with everything you may need. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep. Pet friendly, we brought our 12 y/o 120lb German Shepard that spent most of his time on the deck enjoying the AMAZING view of the mountains. A cute country store is less than 5 minutes away for anything you may have forgotten. Marty was extremely accommodating and answered all my questions and concerns. We will definitely be back!
