Alfonso has been an amazing host during our stay. He brought fresh pastries every morning, treated us with coffee and tea and spent time with us to discuss about Palermo and the main attractions to visit. He certainly made us feel like home. His suggestions about places to visit, restaurants etc. were very well suited based on our plans. We would absolutely recommend Ai tre Mercati to anyone (couples, singles) who want to visit Palermo. The location is amazing, right in the heart of the city and we could easily find parking very close to the hotel.
We booked a room for 4 that was equipped with 1 double bed and two single beds. Unfortunately the single beds weren't very comfy.

The room was nice and in a good location. Our host was very helpful.
It was very hot and the air con didn’t work properly
8.0
Great location, clean, comfy and spacious room. Despite being on a busy street, the room is lovely and quiet. Alfonso is also a great host and gave us lots of tips of what to see and do.
The air con wasn't very strong. The room was cool but the air con could be more powerful - especially as it was a heat wave.

it look a bit run down from the street but once you enter the hotel itself it is clean and well appointed.

First and foremost, Alfonso the owner, was very kind, understanding and helpful. The B&B is located in the historic center of Palermo and he took the time to share what we should do and see there. We also had the most delicious and freshest delicacies, fruit, yogurt and coffee every morning! The rooms were beautiful, clean and comfortable. And he also provided us with a driver to get us back and forth from the airport, which we appreciated!

The host Alfonso was amazing and super helpful. He also organised a fishing trip which my son was most excited about. His recommendations really helped to enjoy the local food and attractions.
The street never sleeps so it was noisy even in the night.

We spent two nights in this B&B for the final stay on our trip to Sicily.
We were really quite taken aback by the effort the host went to to ensure we saw the best sights in the area. He sat us down upon arrival and explained the local attractions to us, so we could make the most of our short stay. This is way above what we would normally expect from accommodation.
On top of that, the breakfast was excellent, and we were able to be provided food very early for our return flight.
The room was also very spacious.
We couldn't actually fault the place

Alfonso is a fantastic host! He helped us with everything we needed and gave us great recommendations to discover Palermo. The location is great, there are a lot of attractions around, unforgettable churches and fountains, and also spectacular restaurants and places to look around. And Alfonso's breakfast? Mamma mia! Delicious. He even prepared a vegan alternative for me. We would totally recommend this place for anyone who wants to have una vera esperienza palermitana. Grazie mille, Alfonso! Alla prossima

The location, in the historical centre was brilliant. We had come to focus on culture and cuisine. All main historical sites of Palermo within 15 mins walk. We relied heavily for food recommendations of our host, Alfonso. When we arrived he provided us with a welcome coffee and range of Sicilian pastries. Devine. He then proceeded to input all the sights and restaurants we should experience. It was his culinary recommendations which clearly showed he had undertaken personal research. He booked the two restaurants he recommended and our taxi to and from the airport.
He advised us to visit Monreale and Cefalu. Really worth a visit.
It was our first time in Sicily. Alfonso was knowledgable and welcoming with a real pride in Palermo and Sicily. In fact everyone we met had a similar outlook. Palermo is a real melting pot with nationalities and ethnicities from all over the world. At one restaurants we we were waited on by a Romanian at another by a young man whose family was from Sri Lanka and a young woman from Poland. There were people from the Indian sub-continent, south east Asia none of whom were tourists.
Alfonso has a right to be proud of the service he provides and how Sicilians seem determined to become known for much more positive things.
We were in the heart of a city which loves to socialise and have fun on the streets through the night. It was 'lively' all night. That was the price paid for all the other positives

The location is great, really close to the sights and to the railway station. It was very important for me as I only stayed for one night and didn’t want to loose time. But the most incredible is the host. Alfonso is so kind and helpful, always ready to answer your questions and give advice. breakfast was amazing - selection of sweet and savoury fresh local pastries, fresh fruit. Couldn’t ask for more! thank you so much for your hospitality!
i liked everything

The location is close to most sites of interest and this was a good apartment to stay in for a family of four. the best thing about this property is Alfonso, the host. He is so welcoming and accommodating and nothing is too much! He arranged a great taxi from the airport, a dinner reservation and basically let us know what we should prioritise seeing in the short time we had. he really is fantastic and made contact before we travelled to make arrangements. thanks Alfonso!
the street below was rather noisy until around midnight/ 1am on a July weekday. Not so much of a problem really and not for us but probably not great for early, light sleepers.

Alfonso was one of the best hosts we have ever come across. We came to Palermo without any plans and he helped plan our entire time there. He was also great for recommending restaurants and arranging taxi transfers at fantastic rates. We were so happy with our time there.
