Great Turtle Villa is accessed via all paved roads, a rare amenity on St. John and very welcome in a tropical downpour. It is located in the comfortable, upscale neighborhood of Upper Carolina. Surrounding homes are on large lots hidden by lush foliage which provides lots of privacy. Enter Great Turtle Villa's drive through an electronic gate which not only adds extra privacy and security but it also keeps the wild donkeys out!
The front door opens onto the larger pavilion's main level which contains the attractive living and dining areas and the fully-equipped gourmet kitchen with a marble-topped work table and breakfast bar. In the living area, a flat-screen TV, stereo, DVD, plus music and video libraries, provide indoor entertainment. The fully-equipped kitchen boasts stainless appliances, granite counters and enough dishes, bake ware and pans to satisfy the most particular chef. Hand-polished mahogany screened french doors open onto spacious shaded decks with cushy rockers and inviting chaises perfect for enjoying the cool trade winds. An outdoor walkway above the pool and courtyard garden leads to the other pavilion with its master bedroom suite. An open staircase heads down beside the garden, passing exquisite orchids and a stately coconut palm, as it leads to the pool level with three more bedrooms and a home office.

Perfect place for our group of 8, loved the pool and view! Great communication with the owner. Well stocked kitchen. Rented car was necessary (we rented from St John Car Rental) to visit Maho Bay, Cinnamon Bay, Trunk Bay, and Hawks Nest beaches which were all great! Lime Out taco bar was our favorite. We saw 2 rainbows over Coral Bay from the house!

My family loves this part of St. John since it’s closer to the beaches and away from Cruz Bay. Coral Bay is more local and low key. Great Turtle’s linear design is excellent for views and gives all the bedrooms privacy. The property is well maintained and provisioned, and the management company was very responsive.

We really enjoyed our stay at this home….it’s a beautiful property with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our party of six. We loved the pool and were thankful for air conditioning in the bedrooms. The only caveat was no A/C in the living area….even with the windows open and fans on, it was too warm to gather there in the evenings, so we hung out on the porch where there was plenty of island breeze. Overall had an amazing stay!

The views of Coral Bay are incredible and we spent most of our time, when we were at the house, sitting on the deck enjoying the view and the breeze. The kids spent most of their time in the pool.
We had great communication from the property management team from booking through the end of our stay. We found this to be one of the most well-stocked properties we've ever stayed in. There was nothing we needed that we couldn't find in the house.
The location really can't be beat. Close to the shops/restaurants of Coral Bay and only a 10-15 minute drive to the beaches.
We really couldn't have selected a better property for our vacation and we'll definitely book again!

Excellently equipped villa with spectacular views. The deck was spacious and a great place to hang out. The pool was large enough to accommodate several people without being crowded. We really appreciated the amount of beach chairs, coolers, etc so we didn't have to bring our own! Two small caveats: we wish there were shades on the windows so we didn't have to use towels, and there is no real wifi coverage in the downstairs bedrooms.

We were very pleased with our stay - beginning with all paved roads to the house. The views were better than shown in the pictures. The kitchen was very clean, organized and well stocked. We used all 4 bedrooms and everyone was very happy. Beach supplies (chairs, coolers) were perfect as well as floats for the pool. The property managers were very responsive to any questions. Our 10 days was simply perfect.

We loved staying higher up on the land with a gorgeous view of Coral Bay. We needed 4 bedrooms and this was the perfect fit. We enjoyed the plunge pool and loved sitting out on the covered porch upstairs. A/C in all the bedrooms was great. Even if we had rainy weather during the week, the home provided all the amenities we wanted. Great place and highly recommend. The management company was very easy and prompt to work with. Great all the way around!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Great Turtle Villa. We enjoyed each meal sitting out on the decks in awe of the views. To our surprise, the views were even better at night, as the full moon lit up Coral Bay and cast shadows from the clouds. The kids and adults loved the pool, that was just the right temperature. The separate rooms were nice to provide privacy. Overall, we loved our time there.

Great Property
This property was perfect for a vacation getaway. The house was well stocked with kitchen items, linens and beach towels, and beach chairs and coolers for a full 8 people. The property was beautiful with amazing views of the hillsides and Coral Bay. We really appreciated the excellent privacy and separation provided due to the layout of bedrooms each with its own bathroom (while still having great common areas and large decks for groups to gather in). The pool was bigger than expected and a nice way to a hot summer day.
The property manager was very organized, informed, helpful, and easy to communicate with. We would not hesitate to return to this property, or recommend it to a group looking for a quiet stay on St. John.

Great Turtle was amazing! The views, the pool and everything you need to make your vacation perfect. Great Getaway!
The villa had everything thing we needed for beach trips across St. John. We always looked forward to coming back to the pool in the afternoon to relax and take in the views of Coral Bay. The location was great as we were only minutes from the restaurants in Coral Bay as well as North shore road. The layout suited our group well with everyone having their own bedroom and bathroom. We loved having coffee on the upper deck in the morning and watching the sunrise. We miss it already and hope to be back sometime soon!

Paradise In Coral Bay
Our family stayed here for 5 days and we had an amazing time. The pics don’t do it justice. Looks even better in person. The villa was well stocked with all the supplies you coukd need. The villa was large enough to accommodate our family and we all had plenty of space to ourselves. The pool was refreshing after spending our days at the beach. Grocery stores and restaurants are only a short 10 minutes away. I highly recommend this property and we are already making plans to return. Thanks for having us!

Amazing paradise!
My wife and I, along with our 3 adult sons, wives/girlfriends throughly enjoyed our week at Great Turtle Villa! We found the property was impeccably clean and inviting when we arrived. Tracy from Anteras welcomed us showing us all the amenities when we arrived. The private location on Majestic Mile has an incredible view overlooking Coral Bay. We had dinner most nights on the deck with an amazing moonlight view of the harbor and the Caribbean Sea beyond. The famous beaches Maho, Cinnamon, and Trunk Bay were less than 10 minutes down the road in our Jeep rental. Two of our favorite restaurants Skinny Legs and Rumb Lines are at the bottom of the hill. The pool was clean and perfect for a morning or night dip. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed for preparing meals or grilling outside. The only drawback was the water pressure was a bit low when more than one person was using the water, but to be expected because all the water comes from the roof system. The landscaping is equally amazing and provided a nice relaxing experience for us all. We would most definitely like return to Great Turtle Villa!

Come for the island...stay for the view....#perfection
I cannot say enough good things about our family vacation at Green Turtle Villa. This was our third trip to St. John so we expected a wonderful trip, but thanks to the gorgeous villa and the gracious staff at the property management company this was our best trip yet. The staff made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived on the island - whether they were providing suggestions or offering assistance they made us feel like friends...quick responsiveness and fantastic service.
The villa itself is immaculate and furnished with such lovely island style (taste and quality are totally evident), however, all we wanted to do is stay out on the decks or in the pool and take in the indescribable view of the valley and bay below us.
It is clear that the owners prioritized landscaping around the villa. The flowering plants and variety of palms added to the ambiance and we couldn't help but let go of the stress of real life and embrace the Love City life.
Each of the four bedrooms felt like private jungle retreats. Going to sleep with the island breezes blowing through our room and waking up to see Coral Bay sparkling below was simply dreamy.
The villa is stocked with everything you could possibly want and if your missing something all you have to do is send a quick text to Antares (property management company) and they will either get it to you or tell you exactly where you can find it on the island. Some of the little things we appreciated in addition to the the view were a well stocked kitchen, a very clean saltwater pool, and the Roku TV (family movie nights).
Finally, I need to be sure to mention all the ways you can take in the beautiful view of the bay below you just in case you missed just how stunning it is. My 21 year old son practically lived in the hammock on the lower deck - "chillin' with a view." My husband preferred to have his evening cocktail and a late night "everyone else has gone to bed" beer sitting in one of the rockers on the upper deck looking at the lights in the valley and bay below us. And finally my 15 and 18 year old spent the majority of the time when we were "home" in the pool and were even treated to a view of double rainbows over the bay one afternoon.
For me the chance to make memories with my "three little birds" who are getting closer and closer to leaving the nest was priceless. Thank you to the owners of Green Turtle and Antaers for making our 2021 STJ trip perfection!

Wonderful stay
A very comfortable house with stunning views! We had two island-wide power outages during our stay, but it didn’t impact our stay as there are so much to do without the power, beaches, hiking, card games etc. Will definitely come back!

Excellent Accommodations in Coral Bay
First time to stay on the East End. A perfect set of accommodations for our two families of 4 - including 4 teenagers. The villa had a spectacular view and all of the necessities with very comfortable sleeping quarters. Less than 15 minutes to Maho Beach and Francis Beach and only 25-30 minutes from Cruz Bay. Would absolutely stay here again.

Paradise!
Where do I begin? Great Turtle villa is a slice of paradise and we would not hesitate to return! The pictures are accurate but being there is even better. It was clean and well appointed to meet our needs. We were a family of 5 adults. Every morning and evening we enjoyed the spectacular view. It was like living in a luxury treehouse. The Antares management staff was outstanding at every turn. They helped guide us with all our trip needs and plans. They answered emails quickly even on weekends. I requested softer pillows and had new ones on the doorstep within hours! One thing I appreciated so much was that there weren’t a million rules posted around the house. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. If you’re considering Great Turtle...grab it! Also, location was perfect if you want to be close to food, hiking, and beaches but still away from it all!! Thanks for a wonderful trip!!

Perfect stay in Coral Bay
My husband and I loved our stay at Great Turtle. The views are amazing over the Coral Bay harbor and the BVI's. We practically lived on the covered porch and in the pool. Short drive to Oasis(best BBQ on Fridays) and Miss Lucy's(best grouper sandwich ever)! Antares group was awesome in provisioning our villa just before we arrived. We loved having the app, which answered all our questions. Loved staying in Coral Bay and the Great Turtle Villa!

AMAZING!
What a way to celebrate my 50th with close friends and family! The view was absolutely breathtaking, the villa was very clean, fully equipped, the pool was on point. It was literally the perfect vacation during this pandemic. I was skeptical in taking a vacation during this time, but after speaking with the owner, and the property management-Antares, I was at ease and looked forward to it. Working with Antares was a breeze! They handled my private transportation on St. Thomas, offered recommendations, met my group to help direct us to the villa (comforting since it was our first time on the island and had no clue where we were driving to); they definitely went above and beyond! It was all well worth the trip. I look forward to visiting St. John and staying at Great Turtle Villa, again!

Beautiful property with stunning views
Well furnished and well maintained property with stunning views over Coral Bay.
The 4 separate bedroom pods were ideal for us and our 3 kids aged from 18 to 24.
Pool is fabulous with views over the bay. Drive to get to the property is a challenge as there are some steep inclines and hairpin bends but that is how most of St John is as the houses are set in the hillside.
We use VRBO multiple times a year and this is one of the best homes we have stayed in.
The Antares crew do an excellent job managing this villa and dealt with any questions very promptly.

The VIEW!!
Wow! Those are the words that will come out of your mouth when you walk out into the back deck. The views are just breathtaking. We spent many hours relaxing on the back deck, taking it all in. We just kept thinking how lucky we were to be there to experience it! The house was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Everyone had their own bedroom/bathroom and were happy and comfortable. The pool was awesome. Everything was awesome! If you are considering this place, do it! I would DEFINITELY go back again.
**We were there during COVID. Although we felt safe the whole time we were there, a lot of the businesses were closed and/or had reduced hours. That was the only challenge. It was a nice escape though and now I want to go back when things are operating normally.

Amazing oasis in a crazy world!
We had a fantastic week in the villa. The set up was perfect for us. We had two couples and two adult children, so used three of the bedrooms. Kitchen was well furnished. The pool is great. The balcony is amazing.
This was our first time to St. John and we will return. The island is stunningly beautiful with a good mixture of privacy/relaxation and things to do (beaches, hiking, etc).

Amazing views
Our week was amazing! 3 couples stayed in the 4 bedroom house. It is well equipped with everything you need from spices to coolers for the beach. The house has amazing views. All the bedrooms have similar views and the beds are comfortable. I would stay there again!
