Main bedroom has a Queen size bed, windows on two sides, and a ceiling fan.
Second bedroom has a Single over Queen bunk bed, a large closet, and ceiling fan.
Third bedroom has a Single over Full bunk bed set with a Single pull-out trundle (so one Full bed and two Singles) and a ceiling fan.
So a total of 6 beds (2 Queens, 1 Full, and 3 Singles).
Although the house is historic, the large Kitchen was completely remodeled in 2000 so all appliances are modern.
Living Room has a flat screen TV with full Movie and Sports package, and ceiling fan.
Family room is right off the kitchen and also has an HD flat screen TV with full cable package.
Both bathrooms remodeled in 2005 keeping the old feel of the home including the claw foot tub from the 1920's.
There is wireless internet access and cable TV with Sports Package.
Backyard has grass, a brick patio, trees and a beautiful grape vine growing up the garage.
Our home is a short 2 block walk to downtown Mountain View's Castro St with hundreds of restaurants of every nationality. You can't get much closer to downtown! We're also a short walk to the Steven's Creek Trail, as well as CalTrain (a Baby Bullet train stop to San Francisco and San Jose) and Light Rail. Close to highways CA85, US-101, CA237 and I-280 (although you can't see or hear any of them). Close to Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, Microsoft, Apple, and many other high-tech companies. Less than 6 miles to Stanford University and Stanford Hospital and less than 2 miles to El Camino Hospital.
Although close to so many things, this home is still on a very quite residential street. We know because we lived in this home for 6 years. If you're doing anything that may create excessive noise or any problems for the neighbors, we're confident this is not the listing for you. Thanks for understanding.
If you have any issues with check-in and check-out times or any special requests for your arrival, please just let us know. Some friends from the East Coast cannot start a day without Dunkin' Donuts coffee. Not just any coffee, it has to be their brand. Caf or decaf? Soy milk or half-n-half? If you have a request, just let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate you.
We look forward to hearing from you, and we hope you'll decide right now to at least reach out to us with an inquiry.
With the summer demand in downtown Mountain View, we usually rent this home to one Guest for the full 3 months of mid-May to end of Aug. So PLEASE do not make a reservation request for that period for any shorter than 2 months. You can feel free to send us an inquiry and we can update you, but PLEASE do not send an actual reservation.

The property was clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were excellent communicators! We spent three nights at the house for a family trip and the great lodging experience made it easy.

Mike made arrangements easy- the house was larger than we expected and had everything we needed. The location means just a short walk to shops and restaurants- all in all highly recommended.

Convenient location, easy check in, and spacious housing. The main shower knob is a little tricky to figure out, but has good pressure and temperature once we did.

My friends and I stayed here for an extended time and had the most amazing time. The location is superb, right alongside downtown Mountain View’s strip of restaurants and bars. The house is quaint and comfortable and can hold a lot of people surprisingly well. 100% recommend booking this place!

Cute little cottage in a GREAT location
This house is so quaint and cute. It is in a perfect location for work, vacation, or family fun. We participated in all three things while staying here. Easy access to roads both north and south to vacation around the area. Close to high tech offices for work in Silicon Valley. Walkable distance to Castro street to meet family/friends for an evening out, and plenty of living room space for fun board games. This house was very clean with all amenities available for a great week long stay. The property managers are quick to reply and are proactive sending information for check-in/check-out/codes, etc. I highly recommend this lovely house to anyone needing a place to call home for a brief period! We thoroughly enjoyed our time.

Nice Historic Home
This is a cute historic home, clean, well kept and very close to downtown Mounain View & neighboring parks. It was very comfortable for 4 adults and a toddler, and the owners were very accommodating in providing us with a crib & bedding for the toddler. We had a pleasant stay except for our grandson stepping on the floor heater and getting hurt.
The owners promptly assured me that they will put a guard around the floor heater for future young visitors. I appreciate their quick response and assurance of taking care of this issue.
