This is an older manufactured home that is showing its age. I rated it low because there are serious problems with the wiring in the home. Outlets in the living room, kitchen, and a bathroom frequently shorted out leaving us with no lights in the living room and a bathroom, no stove, no internet. The owner tried to fix it, but it was not fixed during our visit. We could get outlets to work for a while by plugging in the dryer, turning it on, then unplugging it. That is a sign of a serious wiring problem! The house smelled of mildew when we arrived. We never had internet. There were no instructions or information provided about the home. I have been renting homes through vrbo for over a decade and have found them wonderful. This was not.

This is a very nice 2-bedroom, 2-bath, house that easily sleeps four people in beds, plus any that want the sleeper sofa. It is ideally located on the north end of town as a jumping off point for all there is to see and do on Lanai, including easy walking distance to the downtown area. The kitchen and living area were well appointed and had relatively new appliances. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely plan to be back in future years.

If you're looking for a quaint plantation home that's perfectly located just a short walk from historic Lanai city and shops, look no further. This home is comfortably appointed and has newer appliance that work perfectly. There are both indoor and outdoor sitting and dining areas. Lots of off street parking and a nice assortment of linens, towels, pillows and blankets. We especially enjoyed the historical Lanai pineapple artwork and accents. We all enjoyed this property and would love the opportunity to stay again. Mahalo Nui Loa to Gary and Donna for affording us the opportunity to stay in your precious property.

The plantation home is old and charming and in a good location. A vintage step back in time to the Plantation era. Nice bright kitchen, but dirty. Bathroom vanity top was dirty, dirty rug on dirty bathroom floor. Everything is covered with a layer of sticky dirt. Microwave inside has not been cleaned for a while. TV only had one channel. In a town where every supply must be shipped in, there were no batteries available to replace the ones in the remote. Bathrooms are musty and smell of mold. Of all the vacation rentals we have stayed in over the years, this was the most expensive and the dirtiest. If it was thoroughly cleaned regularly it would be much more acceptable. Hard to find towels, no spare toilet paper. LOTS of deferred maintenance. Owner lives off island, local manager needs to do a better job of caring for the inside. Maybe come swipe a cloth over the floors and counters, window sills and shower floor. Would not stay here again, nor would we refer to others. Although we were glad to have a place to stay, we were disappointed with the overall dirtiness. We love Lanai and the peace and beauty we find here. Locals are friendly and kind and we will come again, but not to this rental unless we have a guarantee that it will be spotless. And, at 7:30 am the neighbor across the street was trying to unlock the deadbolt so she could use the washing machine? What? Isn’t that an arrangement we should have been told about? Oh my.

Came into town for a hunting trip. Didn't spend much time in the house, but one thing to note is it could have used a window unit AC unit. We tried to open windows to get a breeze flowing through - but we dealt with mosquitos.
Other than that, it was an okay location. Not many options, but was a quick walk to the town center for restaurants and such.
Thanks!

Just a few comments: (We were there from 6/4/18 to 6/7/18)
The sheets and towels were washed, dried and folded. We had to put the sheets on the mattress. We wanted to drink coffee but had to clean the coffee maker (where you put the coffee beans). It looked like it hadn't been cleaned for some time. We also had (2) women come by separately and tell us they were the housekeeper after we checked in.
We enjoyed the stay and it was close to the Lanai Courthouse where we were working.

Although it is an old plantation house, it has been beautifully maintained and has all modern fixtures and appliances, a home away from home. It is just a short healthy walk from downtown. Our party of four stayed seven days and had not complaints, there are three beds, one guy slept in the living room and was quite comfortable. Gary the owner was most helpful as was Donna the agent at Hawaii Beach Front Vacation Homes, I suggest you contact her directly for details before renting. It is probably one of the more affordable rentals in town.
