This newly remodeled home sleeps 10 and has a fantastic view of the lake and Mt. Baldy. Downstairs has an open floor plan with gourmet kitchen and great room. Upstairs has another family room for the kids to kick back and relax. Have fun on the deck and grill up some burgers while watching for moose or just taking in the fabulous view! Please be prepared before beginning your drive to the mountains! Four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. Although the main roads are usually plowed well, many residential areas require traversing steep hills on dirt roads that are not as maintained. Keep in mind that chain and traction laws for non-commercial vehicles can be put into effect at any time. We do not advise driving Berthoud Pass in a front-wheel drive vehicle unless you a comfortable putting chains on yourself. Weather and driving conditions may change rapidly. We will not accommodate refund related to weather or road conditions, please plan accordingly.

We all enjoyed the home. Photos are true to the property, except that the views are much better than advertised. And deer and moose around added to the experience. Excellent neighborhood for quick walks and easy access to Grand Lake and RMNP made a perfect spot for our vacation.

The house was immaculate. The view of Baldy was wonderful and beautiful able to see the ripples on grand Lake was even more beautiful and the sun and rise over the mountain and the lake compares to that the rental company went above and beyond for us. I would recommend them and this location To anyone because you would not be disappointed. When we return, we plan to use them again and this location five stars across the board.

Pros: Beautiful house, great location (definitely need 4wd during winter). Spacious and comfortable house. Kitchen had most everything we needed to cook meals for 8 people.
Cons: Giving it a low rating for cleanliness because a mouse came out in the kitchen to visit us. It ran back behind the stove, we pulled the stove to try and catch it but it had bored a hole in the drywall by the plug. It was very dirty under the stove (we cleaned that all up), but the gross part was that there was mouse poop in the drawer of the stove. We found packing tape and covered the hole with the tape in hopes it would temporarily keep the rodent from coming back during our stay. So we bleach wiped everything, had to wash everything in the kitchen so we could have our Christmas dinner (8 people) cooked in a safe and clean manner. Was very disappointing to find all the mouse droppings due to the fact it can carry very harmful, deadly diseases. Since we had 8 people we had a lot of food so when we saw the mouse we had to cram all the food into cabinets and fridge to keep our food safe. There’s not a lot of space to store all the food for this type of situation.
Another on-going issue was the electric fireplace. There isn’t enough power to keep it turned on and have anything else running on that circuit because it kept tripping the breaker if the outlets were used on the same wall. Even when things weren’t used on the same wall, it still tripped off. So it was rather chilly at times in the house.

Beautiful house with a great location and incredible views. The space was perfect for 6 adults and 3 kids. We thoroughly enjoyed the deck with its amazing views and gas fire pit. Super close to town, rmnp and golf course. We had a great time here but would like you to consider a contactless checkin and additional amenties such as showering products and tissues. We were give 2 sets af mini shower products for our entire group and zero kleenex. We also think that with the cleaning fee trash could be picked up by cleaners.

Upon our arrival to the Lakeview Lodge, we noticed that the upstairs, where most bedrooms are located, had absolutely no heat. We called the emergency number immediately and the heating and air technician arrived over an hour later. He could not identify the problem initially, so he called the property management company to confirm if the house was equipped with two furnaces and to gain access to the back shed. They were unable to assist with either, leaving the technician to drill into the door to discover the second furnace which hadn’t been serviced in years. It wasn’t until after midnight when he was finally able to remedy the problem. As a property management company, the technicians should be set up for success to be able to fix the heat quickly and efficiently and there should be a policy that requires homeowners to complete regular maintenance so that renters who are paying good money do not have their vacation disrupted by something that is easily preventable. Or in the very least, offer some sort of compensation for the inconvenience.
The driveway conditions were treacherous. Even though we had 4WD, which the listing states is a requirement due to the residential areas not being maintained, we experienced issues with getting out on multiple occasions. Despite using fallen branches and rubber mats for traction, as well as our own ice melt, it was nearly impossible to navigate. We were only provided with two shovels, both of which were broken and no access to the garage. Additionally, the listing does not state that they will only plow unless there is an additional 4-6 inches of snow, which was very inconvenient. Since this property lists the poor road conditions, they should provide sturdy shovels, ice melt and other tools to assist with getting out in the snow. The renters should not have to hold this responsibility.
The most inconvenient requirement of checkout is that you must take all trash into town and dispose of it in a dumpster behind the property management office. This is something that should be advised upon booking, not check-in. If you are unable to remove the trash before checkout, it is $50 per bag that is deducted from your security deposit. For the price of the house, renters should not have to take out their trash, especially when we are already paying a hefty cleaning fee. It is not a fun way to end a vacation.
Future renters should heed our advice and think twice about booking this property.

Overall, very nice. Good location. Quality house with a number of nice features. Quiet and warm, nice audio system with plenty of room.
Would like to see a hot tub on the property and to have the deck shoveled off so it would be usable with a outdoor fire.

My family and I stayed at the Lakewview Lodge for 4 nights during July 2019. There were 8 of us and the house was a nice size. The kitchen was equipped well, nice size refrigerator, stove, microwave. We were planning to use the queen sleeper, but found it to be very, very uncomfortable, so had an adult sleep on the couch. Nice parking area, garage was locked, did not use. Very nice deck, tables, chairs. Property Managers were very helpful. Beds were nice and sofas comfy. Bunk beds in very small room, but good for kids. Would stay at the house again in the future. Lake view was amazing!A few negatives:No Internet service, which Property Mgr. let us know at check-in.Grill--no propane and very dirty.Several light bulbs needed to be replaced.Only 1 trash bag left in the house, asked for more.Dish towels--only 2, would have liked 4 or more.Only 1 roll of paper towels.Plug in bathtub did not work.Nice jetted tub, but could not use.Suggest replacing queen sofa with a newer sofa or a comfortable futon.

Great place to stay! My only complaint was not able to use the fireplace. Although it's not listed in the description, it shows in the pictures. This home in Grand Lake was the picture-perfect spot for our family trip. The home was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. Even with a full house, we never felt crowded. After reading the reviews about the pullout I was bit apprehensive and reached out to the mgt company who advised they had recently changed the mattress, my teenage age son slept well and wasn't grumpy, which was a win! Wifi worked, was a bit slower than we are were used to in the city, but this is mountain living which is exactly what we were looking for, relaxing and enjoying each others company. We will defiantly stay here again!

Main room is very spacious and is open to the kitchen which makes the entire space even more useful. Lots of room upstairs as well. We had 4 adults/4 kids in our party and felt very comfortable. Large deck overlooking the lake is very nice for warmer times of the year.
One thing to be aware of - the driveway to the house slopes down and you might need to have better tires and an SUV to make it back up when it snows. Tacoma made it fine, Highlander did not.
Overall - would definitely recommend this property, and would probably come back when it's warm to enjoy the lake views from the deck.
