About this house rental
Nestled in the woods near the shores of Green Bay this nostalgic log home awaits your arrival - cleaned and sanitized for your safety & peace of mind.
The bay, with its wonderful Door County sunsets, is just a five-minute walk down the road. The lodge's southern exposure provides plenty of light for a very open, cheery feeling. There is sleeping for eight people with three bedrooms plus a loft. Accommodations include two full baths, fully equipped kitchen, dining room, living room with a natural stone fireplace, and a laundry room. A covered front porch wraps around to a back deck that offers a therapeutic hot tub (subject to winter conditions).
Each bedroom features log beds, hand-made by the home's builder. A king-sized bed is located in the master bedroom on the main floor. A stunning log staircase leads to the second floor, where you will find two more bedrooms and a full bath. One upstairs bedroom provides a queen-sized bed and the second upstairs bedroom features a bunk bed which has a full-sized bottom and twin-sized top. Each of the second floor bedrooms have their own sliding patio doors onto a covered deck off the back of the home. The loft area is a cozy reading spot with a love seat (which can be pulled out into a twin bed). There is also a pull-out bed in the living room couch by the fireplace.
The house is beautifully decorated with custom-made barn board and distressed pine furniture through-out, as well as custom wrought-iron light fixtures in the kitchen and dining room. Please feel free to ask for details on our cleaning & sanitation practices.
You may not even want to leave the house, but if you do you are also just a four mile drive straight down Bay Shore Drive to Frank E. Murphy Park, where you will find a sandy beach and a public boat launch in the summer. There are numerous snow mobile trails throughout the county. Enjoy beautiful fall foliage or the hopeful blooms of spring.
Nearby towns include Egg Harbor village, Sturgeon Bay and quaint Carlsville. A scenic drive will lead you to any of the beautiful villages on the Door Peninsula.

Our stay at the Green Apple cabin was fabulous. The cabin was so cozy, clean, and incredibly well stocked. The hot tub, with its serene views, was a big hit and very comfortable and easy to operate. Our family enjoyed many walks to the lake as the cabin is just 2ish blocks away from a peaceful view of Lake Michigan.
Patty was a wonderful host and answered all of our questions with speed and kindness. She was helpful in every way possible. You will enjoy your stay at the Green Apple cabin!

We enjoyed the hot tub. Location great. Consider a new mattress downstairs as it’s on its last leg.

This was one of the best vacations I have ever taken. The whole process was amazing and the owners are the kindest people. I highly recommend this cabin!!

Green Apple Lodge was super charming and very cozy. We used the well appointed kitchen for all our meals, made a fire every night, and used the hot tub several times too! Loved the Christmas decor and placing gifts under the tree. We walked our dog in the area everyday. It was so quiet in this remote area and not far to drive into Egg Harbor or up further to Fish Creek and Sister Bay. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

You can’t go wrong with the Green Apple Lodge. It’s nestled in the greenery right off of Lake Michigan and it comes with everything you’ll ever need. It’s clean, dog friendly, and the quintessential up north cabin. It made our getaway with family and friends one to remember!

We enjoyed our vacation in Door County, the location of the property, and the experience of staying in a log home. The hot tub was a big hit. Discovering that the dryer was not functional after our first trip to the beach presented some challenges.

Spent a week at the cabin with family. The region is spectacular and cabin is amazing! Hidden in the woods but just a short walk to the lake! Highly recommend!

Picked this VRBO because of hot tub and we could bring my dog. Plenty of space for 6 adults and a dog. The Green Apple Lodge was clean and decorated nicely. Had all the cooking wear we use and want. The only 'down fall" was the bunk bed was too uncomfortable for my son-in-law so he slept on couch - but everyone else was comfortable and slept soundly. Great place to stay!

Beautifully secluded with a hot tub was such a peaceful family weekend. Dog friendly is a plus for us. We enjoyed time with my mom, son, DIL and grandsons! Lots of bonding, games to play. One of the cleanest best stocked places we have stayed! Other than food and personal belongings everything is here making is very convenient. Owner very responsive in a timely manner. Would 100% stay here again!

The property was clean, spacious, and comfortable. It was relaxing to use the hot tub in winter. The property had all the kitchen supplies to cook meals. The property owners were not joking when they warned the internet was spotty but that just meant more time for conversation and board games!

My friends and I enjoyed a fabulous weekend at the green apple lodge! The cabin is so cute. It's very clean, spacious, we had plenty of room to hang out and not feel crowded. There were six of us that stayed. The hot tub was so nice to relax in. The cabin pretty much had all the amenities you need. With a full size kitchen we were able to prepare breakfast. It would be great to come back in the warmer weather. I would definitely recommend.

We were again pleased with this property! Beautiful log home with ample amenities. Off the beaten path while still close enough to experience all Door County has to offer. Our only complaint is the poor drainage of the lower level shower…still not improved from our stay last year. However still a fantastic home with excellent communication from the owner! We will be back.

Our stay
We enjoyed the property and location. There were a few things that would have positively added to our experience. This includes fixing the kitchen blind so they could go up, fixing the sliding glass door to the back deck and providing dish rags and bath soap. The blow dryer upstairs was broken but I can understand the owners would not know that if not told. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.

A great respite!
My partner and I stayed at Green Apple Lodge and greatly enjoyed our time! The location is close enough to things to do (among them, check our Burnt Bluff Stone & Glass in Fish Creek-Ryan did an awesome glass blowing demonstration for us!) and still tucked away among gorgeous scenery. Patty was communicative and helpful. We learned upon getting there that the TV remote batteries were missing/dead, and she promptly offered to reimburse us for the cost of picking some up. The place has plenty of room to spread out, and would be great for friends or family to stay together. The downstairs bed was super comfortable and the sheets were amazingly soft-we slept well every night! I enjoyed having a kitchen to use and it is generally well-appointed. That said, I was surprised that there was not a baking sheet or foil, so give what's there a more thorough look for what you need than I did. All in all, it was a great time!

Great for Bach weekend!
Me and my girlfriends had a great time at the cabin. We had my Bach weekend there and it was amazing!
The cabin is gorgeous and comfy. It was great for our weekend getaway and since it’s kind of secluded we had our privacy.
I would say that the internet and service are very poor. Since we were in a group of 10 girls and everyone trying to use the Wi-Fi it was a little frustrating.
So I would recommend getting some playlists downloaded ahead of time. We did that once we were in town and came back to the cabin and that worked out pretty well :)

Exactly What We Wanted
It’s not often the listing and the actual property are exactly what you’ve hoped for, but this one really is. Perfect for 6 adults, 2 dogs for a long weekend. Area is easy to access and close to many wineries! We enjoyed cooking in the wonderful kitchen all weekend. I appreciated the thoroughness of the host which made our stay more relaxing. Would definitely recommend

Girls Getaway
We are a group of 4 sisters that went away for a long weekend for a birthday getaway. What a gorgeous property- it was wonderful in every way, including help from the owner with a minor thermostat issue. They were there to help in minutes. This is a beautiful home with a cozy fireplace and seating area. We had alot of fun playing games and having fantastic meals at the big table, the kitchen is amazing with all you need to cook/bake. Everything is well thought out and the beds were comfy- this home is in a great location and we had some great day trips exploring all of what Door County has to offer. We're already planning a return trip! Thank you!

A Beautiful Stay In The Woods
We loved our long weekend at the green apple lodge. The home fit 6 of us perfectly/comfortably. We were allowed to bring our dog with us who loved exploring the woods and meeting his first deer. Short drive to egg harbor. 10 minute walk to the lake. We would love to rent this property again!

Great stay!
This beautiful and quiet location was perfect for us! All the shops and restaurants are a short drive away and then we went back to our peaceful house and enjoyed the fireplace every night. This house is very well equipped- even had luggage racks in each room. Patty was easy to communicate with. As noted by others, the WiFi is spotty, so be prepared. Another successful annual girls trip in the books for us. Thank you, Patty, for sharing this lovely home!

A fun family weekend
The Green Apple Lodge is a very clean cabin nestled in the woods just south of Door County's Egg Harbor. Featuring three bedrooms, two pull-out couches, and two bathrooms, there was plenty of room for our family (and our dog!). There is also a plenty of space on the front porch and back deck and the property also includes a neat firepit area. The host, Patty, is very clear in communicating with guests and will respond quickly to any questions you may have.

Cozy Cabin
We stayed in Patty's cabin for a long weekend in May. It was comfortable, cozy and a great location! We'd never been to Door County before and we really enjoyed exploring. The cabin is a great launching off point for the whole area.
The cabin is also a great blend of all the amenities you'd want plus a great rustic cabin feel.
I will say, we were not prepared for the WiFi situation. We should have read more carefully in the reviews about that. The adults were fine, but the kids missed their game time!
That said, we all really enjoyed our stay!
