About this chalet rental

This renovated 5 bedroom vacation home has a large open common space, spacious deck with a hot tub and a large patio with a stone fire pit. The home is conveniently located six miles from both Hunter and Windham Mountains. Ground floor has two bedrooms (1 queen,1 full and 1 twin size bed and 1 queen and twin bunk beds) with shared bathroom, laundry room. Main floor consists of living room, 1 bedroom (1 king size bed with 48' HDTV), 1 bedroom ( 1 queen, 1 full and 1 twin size beds), 1 bathroom, fully equipped kitchen with an island that can sit up up to 8 people and a dining room that seats 8-10 people. The great room has hardwood floors, floor to ceiling windows with sliding doors , wrap-around sectional, a fireplace with gas burning logs, cathedral ceilings, 55' HDTV, DVD, sound system. Third floor has a loft with 32' HDTV and another large bedroom (1 king, 1 full and 1 twin bed) with private bathroom, as well as dual fireplace. This is an ideal home for entertaining.

The house is located close to two major NY alpine skiing areas but can be enjoyed any time of the year. There is a creek across the road where one can swim and fish, there are two lakes (Colgate and North/South), - 20 min drive. Roads are perfect for bicycling. There are multiple hiking trails within 30 min drive all around. Woodstock and Phoenicia (popular art destinations) are 40 min away. There are also two major music festivals held at Hunter Mountain in the beginning of every June, Celtic festival in September and Oktoberfest.

Rented this house for a weekend with friends. It is such a great house for a girls weekend! Kitchen is large, and the living area is perfect for lounging. The house was clean and well appointed. We would definitely rent this house again!

Great stay

Stayed with a group of friends for a long weekend. It’s a beautiful house with plenty of space and beds for our group of 10. We especially enjoyed the open floor design of the kitchen, dining area and living room. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked and extremely organized. The hot tub and fire pit were great too! Also the owners were very responsive and patient, especially when we accidentally set off the house alarm when leaving (our fault, the directions were clear but we missed a step). I highly recommend staying here!

While the property was great and a great distance from the mountain - MAKE SURE YOU TAKE PICTURES OF EVERYTHING WHEN YOU COME IN. The property manager is charging us for broken foosball pieces when no one went near the foosball table or really notice it was there because we were downstairs.

Great House

House is great, better than expected. Perfect for a group of 13 guys hanging out for the weekend. Also think it would be great for a family get away with kids. Property is clean and has everything you need for a relaxing weekend away. Owner responded to any concerns quickly via messaging in the Vrbo app. I would highly recommend this property and hope to use it again in the future.

Extended family and I came to Catskills for a wedding in July. Such a beautiful and well-stocked home. Great room was a fantastic space. Loved the deck, hot tub and fire pit. Comfy beds, nice baths. Angela was a pleasure to deal with, and my deposit was returned quickly. A totally successful weekend.

Wonderful house for a big group, we stayed last year and were so excited to come back!

The house is kept absolutely immaculate, and is perfect for a vacation with a big group of friends. The open floor plan on the main floor allows everyone to hang out together, whether they're the ones cooking, playing games or hanging on the couch. The hot tub was a huge draw, as always! It's very close to Hunter (and I think Wyndam, but we went to Hunter) so the skiers/snowboarders were just as happy as the hot tub-ers :) Just like I mentioned last year, each of the bedrooms has multiple beds, which for us was great since it was a group vacation anyway, but may not be ideal if you're looking for more privacy. For a big group of friends looking for a vacation weekend outside of the city, it is absolute perfection!

This place is perfect! We were a large group staying for two nights and the property has more then enough space for everyone without feeling cramped. It is fully equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Angela is also quick to reply with any questions that we had! We will definitely be back!

We were a big group, 13 people, who were looking for a house to share for a weekend of skiing, cooking and just generally hanging out. Angela's house was absolutely perfect for us. It was one of the few houses that had enough beds for the whole group (there were generally 3-4 beds per bedroom, which worked fine for us, but not great if you're looking for more privacy). The hot tub was an absolute hit, and the large, open-plan kitchen and living room area allowed everyone in the group to hang out together. It was exactly what we were looking for, and was perfect for the weekend. Thanks Angela!
