Mountain Haven was everything they said it was and more. The property was beautiful, easily accommodating our group of 12. It was an easy drive to downtown Asheville, but our the house was so wonderful, we ended up spending most of our free time at our rental. The kitchen had everything we need to cook some amazing meals, only to be surpassed by the large dining table on the porch which comfortably sat all of us. We hope to stay there again next year!!

Mountain Haven was a perfect home for our family gathering of 12. The house was well stocked. We discovered there was an additional refrigerator on the lower level which was very helpful for hosting a large group. We did have an issue our first day with the water pressure so contacted the property management company who came out right away and took care of the issue. I would rent this home again if we return to the Asheville area.

We had a great trip to Asheville and a great stay here. The cabin has everything you need and is located in a great area. Close enough to town that we had no issues Ubering numerous times at all hours. Also very close to Sierra Nevada and a good grocery store. The views were solid and the fireplace and fire pit were awesome. The place was stocked with plenty of seasoned firewood. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this cabin to friends.
6.0 / 10.0
First off, this is not a comfortable place for 18 people, more like 12 or 14. To "expand" the advertised capacity, they used an office or very small spare room as a bedroom. Access to the light switch was down the hallway several feet away. Going to bed required turning off the light and then walking into a dark room. Definitely not designed to be a bedroom: (two twins). On the first floor, two rooms, holding six people with one very tiny bathroom: (perhaps four, not six). The living area was arranged to hold, maybe, 10-12 if they want to interact with one another. A table with leaves would seat 12+ but then choked off the rest of the room. The house is definitely not handicap friendly. This is stated in the description -- believe it! Next, while evidence of some upgrades, the cabin was suffering from poor maintenance. For example: Many light bulbs needed replacement, some in dark places. Some of the mattresses were old and sagged. To overcome the one in the master bedroom, a three inch foam topper was installed, allowing one to sink deeply into the foam, and making entrance/exit almost impossible. Likewise, the toilet seat in the master bathroom was so loose that seatbelts were required (Spend the big $30; for a new one). The shower -- for some unknown reason -- wasn't hooked into the septic tank, but drained onto the ground, creating an ice sculpture. Heating for the entire 3700 sqft house was somewhat accomplished with one unit, which couldn't keep constant temperatures throughout the three soaring floors. You were either hot or cold. Rubber bands were used to hold kitchen cabinet doors closed (child locks?) The ice maker wouldn't dispense ice. Insufficient kitchen utensils for 18 people. And the list goes on.... Overall, a disappointment for the four-day, $8700. cost, albeit over the Christmas holidays (a 100+% upcharge). The cabin was very clean and the folks at Yonder were very good at processing the rental, though we didn't bother them over Christmas during our stay. Recommend looking around, or book with less people.

This was a lovely cabin with LOTS of beds. It’s perfect for large groups who need a place with plenty of room to hang out but also enough room for a bit of privacy. Would highly recommend

Great mountain home
Had a great stay in this house - perfect for a large group, in a beautiful area in the mountains, with a nice little pond and campfire on the property. Not too far from downtown Asheville while offering a great retreat from it all.

Nice house but needs upkeep
The location and amenities of the house were great (kids loved the game room) but it could really use some repairs and a deep cleaning. There was either mold or mildew in the downstairs bathroom and the railing upstairs is missing pieces leaving a pretty large gap that was a bit concerning since we had a 5 year old with us. I did tell the property manager about it but never got a response.

Nice cabin
The kitchen and living area were a great size for a big group. Everything was clean except for some water damage when we arrived in the basement. Hopefully that'll get fixed quickly. Nice location. Would stay here again.

Do not rent this house (or Be VERY careful if you rent this house)
My family and I don’t typically write negative reviews, but felt a responsibility to share our experience with others. While there were several garden variety problems you wouldn’t expect from a house called ‘luxury’ (ie. Poor mattresses, not full cleaned, etc.), this goes beyond that. One of our children was shocked by a broken electrical outlet. There was also a mouse that made one bedroom unusable, with mouse droppings ending up on the bed and our clothes. Yonder did fix the electrical outlet, and put out mousetraps, but obviously the situation was far from fixed.
To add insult to injury, Yonder offered that only if we signed a binding legal agreement to never share our experience they would refund one night of our 6 night stay. This seemed in bad faith to us and we declined. While we believe a refund would have been appropriate given all that happened, we felt a responsibility to share what happened here so that future potential renters have all the information. In short, we DO NOT recommend renting this house, and if you do please beware this house is not what it seems.

Mountain house
The house was great for our family - 3 generations under one roof! Kitchen and dining room table was large enough to accommodate 10 of us. The game room and hot tub were great, but the basement seemed a little musty (kids didn't notice). Didn't use the firepit b/c it rained. Location was convenient to Asheville, an easy 15 min drive. Easy to miss the driveway on the way in or in the dark. Might be easier to just tell future guests it is the 1st driveway on the right. Overall very happy with the house and the family loved it!

Wonderful weekend in Asheville!
I stayed at Mountain Haven with a group of friends for a low-key mountain weekend and the property definitely exceeded our expectations! The house was perfect with plenty of room for 14 adults. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub and the large kitchen was definitely helpful for cooking all of our meals at home. The close proximity (15 mins) to downtown Asheville and Asheville airport (25 mins) was super convenient and we went to a super cute brewery that was less than five minutes away. The check in process was very easy and they even let us check in early. I would definitely recommend this property and can't wait to come again.

Had a wonderful time.
This house was great for our family Xmas weekend. It’s definitely an older house but it was super cute. Awesome outdoor space and had everything we needed. We were comfortable the entire time. The water pressure was not great but then again we had 20+ people trying to shower and run water so I guess that’s to be expected. Would definitely recommend.

Mountain house is great for Families
We enjoyed our stay at Mountain Haven. It was clean, plenty of towels (toilet paper and soap) for our 13 guests. The children, ages 7-14, loved the game tables and the hot tub. The outdoor tables on the high deck was a favorite for the adults and children during meals. There were only 2 small problems: the dryer was very inefficient (drying took at least 3 cycles) and a piece of wood on the side of the pool table (screws were stripped) fell on my grandson's foot. We would definitely go to Asheville again and stay at this house.

Good Start, Not So Good End
We stayed in this house with multiple families. Overall, we had a good time altogether, the house met our needs and we loved the location. However we would like to share some of our negative experience as below:
- Check-in time is 4pm, checkout time is 10am. We found the checkout time a little bit early. I called the property manager to give us 1 more hour for checkout, explaining that we are multiple families and there are kids... However she refused to accommodate and told us that cleaning crew will be there in 10am for the new guests. I am sorry to say this, but given 6h of difference between checkout and checkin do they really need to send the cleaning crew right at 10am. To be fair, she was correct; the crew came to the driveway right at 10am... We were able to leave the house at ~10.50am and they charged us for every 30 min. after 10am. In short, I am sorry to say this but checkout experience was terrible.
- There were no extra sheets.
- There were no extra paper towels.
- Except for the rooms in upstairs, the rooms are cold in the middle of the summer.
- The vacuum cleaner was not working.
- The grill was not clean.
- There were some bugs in the basement.

The description of 'Luxury and 5 star' is misleading.
The size of this property and configuration of the bedrooms worked very well for our family and we enjoyed the layout.
However, this home is in need of some TLC. We called and received prompt maintenance on the lower level. It was absolutely freezing down there and no one could use it for relaxing. My son's family was sleeping there with multiple space heaters running and blankets. Upon arrival, we had to empty the dehumidifier! Maintenance (Brent) came with additional space heaters. He also cleaned the filter on the air purifier because it had stopped working. After he left,. we noticed a huge corner in the basement had a bulging in the corner indicating a water issue. Also, the sliding door locks do not work...there's only a pole for security.
We showed Brent where the deck needs to have several boards replaced. Due to safety concerns, we did not feel comfortable using the deck either especially with small children..
The family room couch on the main level has feathers coming through the cushions and caused allergy symptoms for many of us. Plus it wasn't clean and was sagging. So, the only seating available for the 10 of us was the dining table area and the 2 denim covered chairs.
The notebook said there were 2 thermostats...but there's only one according to maintenance. This did not control 3 levels of living at all..no one was comfortable.
The kitchen was great! The appliances and cookware need to be looked at being repaired and/or replaced. For example, the handle on the oven door is broke on the right side and most frying pans are scratched and unsafe to use.
This property has great potential. Overall, this is not what we considered to be a 'Luxury 5-star' rental. Please feel free to contact us if you would like.
Thanks - Denise

5-Star stay all the way!!!
Our family rented all 4 homes for the Falls at Edenderry collection from Yonder, as we held a family reunion with a total of 72 of us! (Yes; big family gathering.) It was amazing in and of itself that Yonder had a property that could accommodate a total of 72 guests; we never in our wildest dreams thought we could all stay "together" at one property.
We rented a huge tent that we had setup at Pine Hollow, which essentially served as the "hub" for everything, and it stayed up the whole 4 days we stayed, and allowed for terrific outdoor meals, events and more. (One set of great grandparents even renewed their vows one evening with a cool little outdoor ceremony.)
Mountain Haven provided a perfect setup for the "younger" generations, with 3 floors of space, bedrooms, and plenty of activity space. All 4 homes' hot tubs saw regular usage, as did the fire pits. It was even warm enough for the younger kids to swim in the pond and play/hang-out on the beach area.
The homes were VERY clean, well set-up, and nicely furnished.
We stayed mostly close to the homes as there was so much to do, and we wanted to see everyone, etc. However, we did take a group putting to The Biltmore, Sierra Nevada, and did the Get Line Tour in downtown Asheville, (as suggested by Sarah w/Yonder). Much fun was had by all,
I can assure you that if our family plans another reunion in Asheville that we will be back to the Falls at Edenderry, or if a smaller group trip, simply contact Yonder for luxury accommodations; simply AWESOME!!!

Beautiful, well-equipped home
We had a wonderful time at Mountain Haven - we were especially impressed with how clean and we’ll-maintained the house was - everything is simple and easy to use. More importantly, they stock the house with necessities, making it easy to settle in and enjoy your weekend. Highly recommend the property.

Great house for a large group
We had a great stay here for our large group of 12 adults. The house was perfect. Plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms for all. The large dining table was perfect and the kitchen was well stocked and great for cooking! The house was easy to access and simple to clean up and check out on Sunday morning.
Only 2 things, one of the showers didn’t work and the hot tub wouldn’t get above 89.

Great house and location
HOUSE WORKED BEAUTIFULLY FOR THE SEVEN OF US IN THREE FAMILIES. BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS WELL PLACED. LOTS OF NATURAL LIGHT. VERY WELL STOCKED KITCHEN (RECOMMEND OWNER PURCHASE ANOTHER DISH CLOTH AND DISHTOWEL, ONE OF EACH IS NOT ENOUGH). REPAIRS NEEDED TO WATER SUPPLY WERE ADDRESSED PROMPTLY. KIDS LOVED FEEDING THE FISH IN THE KOI POND. CLOSE TO GROCERY STORE AND FRUIT/VEGETABLE FARM STAND NEARBY. HOUSE CLEAN WHEN WE ARRIVED. VISITED BILTMORE, STATE PARK, HIKED, ETC. THANKS FOR A GREAT VACATION.

Great House and Location for big groups
We arrived here for a bachelor party for 16 guys. There was plenty of room for everyone and we all got to sleep in a bed. The house is really well stocked, we didn't need anything besides food. The property manager is great at communicating and helping throughout the whole process. Location is really convenient to downtown Asheville, probably about a $15-20 uber ride. Highly recommend!

Perfect getaway home for a large group!
This house was perfect for a large group. We had 12 girls, and everyone was able to sleep in a comfy bed- no pullout couches! Also, there were plenty of bathrooms so we weren't crowding each other trying to get ready. We loved the hot tub and spacious porches, and we really appreciated all of the firewood they keep stocked! The kitchen is well equipped and we were able to prepare great meals! Easy access to downtown Asheville, and we never had to wait more than 15 minutes for an Uber/Lyft! Definitely recommend this house for a large group!

Easy check-in. Convenient location. Decent privacy. Great hot tub area.
We recently had 12 guys stay here for a weekend in Asheville. The house fit us all very comfortably, with room to spare. The check-in process was then easiest I have ever experienced. They simply give you a key code that gets you in the door, and that is it.
There is a bit of a trade-off with the location. It is a very easy drive downtown or to some of the restaurants in the general area. However, this house does sit low in the foothills, so you don't get the mountain experience if that is what you are after. If you want a mountain experience that has a great view, this may not be your choice, but it is still tucked away in the woods overlooking a nice pond.
The hot tub area is fantastic. Completely shielded and private, and it includes a nice waterfall/pond just steps away. Very relaxing.
Good times, and I would recommend this property.

Great Place for a Friend Reunion
We had a fantastic time at this incredible home! It is the perfect base for adventures into downtown Asheville and the Biltmore. The kitchen (plus outdoor grill) has all the necessary amenities for breakfast and dinner. The dining area and deck were great for board games and conversation. We wish we had more time to explore the hiking trails.

As incredible as advertised!
We had 18 people stay at the mountain haven house for the weekend, and the house was still large enough to sleep everyone on beds and relax in the family room/kitchen together. The house was spotless when we arrived, and there were more than enough household supplies and linens for our stay. The check-in and check-out instructions were seamless and the staff were responsive and friendly. I would absolutely stay here again!

Great cabin! Will stay again.
We had a great experience in this cabin! It was very clean, plenty of room, hot tub and everything else worked well. Lots of parking in the driveway and it was an easy uber ride/drive to downtown. It was easy to book and the property company was very pleasant throughout the whole process. 10 AM checkout was a little early for so many people, so I think I will request a later check out next time. We will definitely stay here again!
