Ratings and reviews
3.0 / 5.0
We choose this location for a family reunion due to the location, convenience and accommodations. We were very disappointed upon arrival. It was very apparent that the place was only surface cleaned. Most of the bedroom TV's did not have remotes. The living room had broken furniture that we propped up to use. The kitchen utensils needed to be cleaned before use. It was difficult preparing meals because the lights did not turn on. The kitchen counter was infested by ants. Admittedly there is 13 of us, but we would continually run out of hot water while showering. This was most likely due to the fact we needed to wash all the bath towels rather than use them, as they were dirty and stained.
The outdoor balconies hadn't been cleaned, the cooking facility was a disgrace. It was a very picturesque location, but most of the screens made it difficult to see thru the spider webs and dirt.
We have stayed at several rental properties, but this is the first time we felt compelled to write a negative review. We feel it's necessary to alert people of the condition.
It was the most disappointing stay we have had, as we were there to enjoy the place and location. I hope the owners will take this as corrective criticism and make necessary adjustments to prevent others from being this disappointed.

The pictures don’t do the house justice, great stay for our large friend/family group. Will look for this house every year

This was a wonderful house! Further away from where we were wanting to be but it fit all of us under one roof! Very spacious inside the house, the parking was a bit tight, however with 2 trucks and 2 vans, we made it work!

I loved our stay! I had my wedding there and there was enough room for both of our families. If I was to change anything it would be to put hand towels in all of the bathrooms.

This house was perfect for our large family get together. We had 18 people ages 1-75 and all had ample space and accommodations. The house and amenities are as-listed and very convenient to the Chimney Rock attractions. We loved the yard area out front too. The main living areas and bathrooms were clean, though some walls, doors, etc could use a deep clean. The house contact was quick to respond and helpful. We would stay here again and recommend to others.

The house was beautiful and spacious, close to town and local attractions. I highly recommend!

This getaway was extremely cozy. We really enjoyed the outdoor patio area and the choice of using a grill. We felt safe and loved the fact that we could hear the running water from the river. It was a perfect, serene home that was perfect for the weekend. Also, Ashley, the property manager was super helpful and communicative prior to checkin. It was clean, light, and welcoming, and we had pretty much anything you would need.

Lovely area. House was large but needs several things done. Ice maker broken and dripping and warping the wooden floor. Ceiling in half bath dripping water by the light after a rain. The dryer in hall didn’t heat. The oven didn’t hold the temperature on bake. The trash outside was not emptied since last renters. Beds were comfortable on the top floor. The room with two twins and a double squeaked badly. There were cobwebs everywhere outside. The home needed extermination. Many ants and beetles. Couch was very comfortable.

Perfect location and nice home for a large group. Plenty of space to spread out as needed. Neighbors were cordial and inviting.
We had a group of 19 and had plenty of room to eat dinners together.
Enjoyed the games also!
4.0 / 5.0
The house is very spacious, allows for large groups to gather in common areas. The open living room/dining room/kitchen concept was wonderful for this. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy nature.... and all of the other homes that are incredibly close to it. The online photos are a bit deceptive and make the house look more secluded. But in reality, it is surrounded by other properties. It's not THAT big of a deal, unless you are looking for a little more privacy when you are outdoors. The other disappointing factor was that the grill didn't work, and we had prepared to cook that way for a lot of people. We had to move our grill foods inside to the oven. Property management was slow to respond and referred us to a local customer service line. But it wasn't in time to try to fix the grill issue. One other note: shower doors kept falling off. But overall, it is a beautiful propery, and our group really enjoyed our stay. I would recommend the home.

Lots of great hiking around lake lure. Great backdrop for a wedding except for the lake was low for scheduled repairs.
Huge house with tons of amenities. Needs some repairs and TLC.
