Looking for a luxury mountain retreat with amazing forest views, in Tahoe Donner? This modern designer cabin has it all, including:
* A beautifully appointed great room with new furnishings and featuring an expandable dining table with seating for up to 12 plus seating for an additional 4 in the adjoining bar area;
* A granite chef's kitchen fully-equipped including high-end appliances, a wine fridge and much, much more.
* A master suite with a king bed, direct deck access and adjoining, spacious luxury bathroom;
* 5 bedrooms total. 4 guest rooms with king or queen beds and luxury linens. The 5th bedroom has two sets of bunk beds, perfect for 4 children;
* 4 full, beautifully appointed bathrooms;
* In addition to the great room, a large, separate family room with a tv, games galore and a fooseball table;
* Enhanced high speed cable internet with multiple access points. Cable and streaming TV.
* A tankless water heater to supply hot water throughout the home, and two separate Nest thermostats for the upstairs and downstairs;
* A two-car garage with a flat driveway with a snow removal service in the winter; the garage also has a Tesla Wall Connector / Charger for fast charging; we also have a J1772 charging adaptor which works with most non-tesla cars.
* For summer, the outdoor deck has a Weber Grill, a large dining table with seating for 12, and lounge chairs for relaxing. Close to Tahoe Donner's amazing rec centers (less than a mile). Tons to do - swim at the pool or lake, golf, tennis, hiking, day camps for the kids, and much, much more.
* For winter, a spacious backyard perfect for sledding!! Sleds are available for use in the garage. Approx. 20 minutes to major ski resorts including Squaw Valley, Alpine, Sugar Bowl and Northstar. Approx. 5 minutes to Tahoe Donner's family friendly ski resort.

Guests have access to the Tahoe Donner private recreation areas. There are 8 guest passes which give access to the Tahoe Donner "private" facilities, entrance fee is required (see the Tahoe Donner website for current fees, guests 6 and under are free). The Tahoe Donner private facilities include the Trout Creek Recreation center, Marina Beach Club and Tennis Center. Swim, lounge in the large hot tub, lift weights, take in an exercise class, sweat out the day in the saunas. Great for kids and adults wanting to take a break from the slopes. The Marina Beach Club has boats to rent, child friendly swim areas, BBQs, and a nice beach area. Tahoe Donner public facilities include the downhill ski area, equestrian center, and trails.

We really enjoyed staying in this home. It had everything that we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked with amazing appliances. The rooms were spacious and everyone had a comfortable bed. It had two family areas with televisions and space for all to gather. We loved the expandable table allowing our big family to eat together. Beautiful deck overlooking tall trees. The deck was huge. House was very clean! It had a electric charging unit in the garage which we didn't use but a great addition to the home. Loved working with Aaron. He was an amazing host. Recommend this home to everyone

My family really liked Aaron’s lovely home. It is in our favorite Truckee neighborhood. Aaron is a great communicator and was prompt in his response to my questions and comments. Everything in the house worked perfectly and we did everything to keep it clean and treat the home like our own. We would love to stay in Aaron’s house again if we have a big group.

This was the first time my grandson saw snow. The house was well equipped with a sled and saucers for backyard fun, and well stocked with kitchen basics to make snack and meal times easier. The sledding hill in the backyard was perfect- not too steep, but still a fun ride for adults and kids. The road out front was perfect for walking. The house was clean and had everything we needed! We’ll definitely stay here again.

Much more than a cabin! House was well equipped and so spacious for a large family gathering. Beautiful updated bathrooms and awesome kitchen. Garage was so convenient. Easy check in and check out. Would definitely come here again. We also used the rec center! Thanks for a memorable vacation. Skiing was also awesome.

The Daru Family Cabin was great - plenty of space, very clean, and the kitchen included every utensil/device/amenity ever created (the spice selection was awesome!). The hosts provided a clear and concise “house manual” which contained instructions, tips, coupons, maps, and more which made it very easy to plan our daily activities. The VRBO listing was extremely accurate - a wonderful location and home that we would definitely consider staying at again!

Family 4th of July get away
The house was great for our 6 adults and 4 small children. The kids loved the bunk room, and the house was everything we expected per the pictures. Loved the location to Donner Lake and NorthStar Ski area and of course Lake Tahoe! Thanks Aaron!

I can't say enough about this house and the owners.
I felt like I was in my own kitchen it was so well stocked. This continued through out the house with linens and towels.
The owner was very responsive with any questions we had.
We had a wonderful Christmas and New Years, lots of great memories for grandkids to share for years to come. I highly recommend this house.

Lovely accommodations
Really enjoyed our time there and the owner was fabulous in getting questions answered rapidly - even thru the power outage we had the last night!!! There were plenty of bedrooms for the large group I took and the kitchen was nicely stocked! It was all very clean and inviting! Loved the openness of the upstairs! Could have used a few more hand towels and washcloths in the bathrooms!! Thanks for sharing your home with us!

The property was beautiful and spacious. The location was very convenient with Donner State park minutes away. The kitchen allowed for multiple cooks which made dinners a breeze. We'd definitely stay their again!

Lovely three weeks
This is a very easy house for family gatherings. We were 4 adults and two children most of the time, with plenty of space to spread-out and have privacy. The large porch was wonderful for breakfast and dinner times.

Best Tahoe donner house !
We have rented many houses in Tahoe Donner over the past few years and this was hands down the best house.
The location is great!
The house was stocked with plenty of linens. The kitchen was stocked perfectly with appliances and spices etc. The layout of the house was perfect for a big family or a group of families. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had comfortable beds.
We had no issues we needed to contact the owners about!
Only thing that was maybe missing was a hot tub- we thought one on the bottom deck would be perfect but didn’t affect our stay whatsoever!
We will definitely be renting this house again!

Excellent property and great owners!
We’ve rented a lot of Tahoe houses over the years, and this is one of the best experiences we’ve had. Here’s why:
— The owners have clearly put a lot of thought and effort into making sure the house is set up so that guests have a great experience. We were a group of six adults and five kids (ranging in age from 5 to 8), and the house had everything we needed—plenty of dishes, towels, etc. for a big group. We appreciated things like each room having a closet with hangers and a luggage rack, as well as a few empty kitchen cupboards for us to store our groceries while we were there. We also loved having a family room on both floors, so adults could be in one space with kids in the other. There are also nice extras like Sonos, Netflix, a Tesla charger, etc.
— From the time we reserved through the end of our stay, the owner, Aaron, was very responsive. We had a few questions along the way, and he replied almost immediately, and was always helpful and friendly.
— All the communication by email and in the house binder was super clear, and check in and check out were a breeze. The owners want you to have a good vacation and it shows.
We’re already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you, Daru family, for a great stay!
