About this cabin rental
Come enjoy the Sierras! So much to do near the cabin from hiking, skiing, horseback riding, fishing, biking, ice skating, boating, snowmobiling, biking, shopping, paddle boarding, kayaking, dining or just kicking back in the cabin and enjoying the stunning view!
Magnificent sweeping views abound from every room of this classy mountain getaway. Custom from slate floor to 30-foot vaulted ceiling, this 4BR/3.5BA was designed by award-winning architect Kurt Reinkens to provide the ultimate Tahoe experience. You’ll be impressed the moment you walk into this custom 3,600 sq/ft well appointed cabin.
Please note - this is NOT a party house and is not open to bachelor/ette parties, weddings, rehearsal dinners, etc. No pets and no smoking. Once again, our cabin is NOT a party house and strictly no pets due to the health and safety of our family. This is something we take very seriously for very serious family medical reasons (trips to the ER due to severe animal allergies and asthma are no fun).
The love and pride in this home shines thru. Picture your family and friends in luxury, enjoying a fine bottle of wine while gazing over the pine trees, unobstructed to Donner Pass to the west, the slopes of Northstar to the south, the peak of Mt Rose and the state of Nevada to the east. Don’t miss the gorgeous sunset, it’s bound to light your heart the way it does the impressive colors of the eastern Sierra Nevada’s. Simply put, there’s no view like it in all of Tahoe Donner!
Whether it’s your first time in Tahoe Donner or you’re a high-country veteran, you’ll appreciate the incredible attention to detail right down to the hand-picked fireplace stones and single slab redwood bar. Locally crafted furnishings provide distinct mountain comfort. The gourmet kitchen features a Dynasty Professional Chef gas range/oven and all the tools to create culinary magic.
Ideal for multiple families, the cabin features two master bedrooms with walk in closets, Vermont Casting gas stoves, private bath and rooms with queen and full bunk beds (yes, mattresses on the bunks are either queen or full- a little unusual, but really nice), comfortably sleeping 10 adults plus kids. Reserve the beds with quality mattresses for the adults in your group and let the kiddos have a slumber party in the second television room. :) Not technically handicapped accessible, yet one master bed (along with kitchen, dining, TV, laundry) located on main level good for those unable to navigate stairs.
Best of all, this cabin is conveniently located to everything the Tahoe area has to offer:
• Within 20 minutes of world-class mountain resorts Palisades (formerly Squaw Valley), Sugar Bowl, Northstar, Alpine Meadows, and several others – and just down the hill from one of the area’s best family resorts, Tahoe Donner Ski Area.
• A mile to Trout Creek Recreation Center, featuring state of the art fitness center, weight room, cardio room, fitness classes, resort style recreation pool, adult lap pool, kiddie pool, steam room, dry sauna, 3 hot spas, massage program, personal training, playground, basketball court, ping pong, showers, lockers, sledding hill in winter and much more! Please note, these amenities are not onsite at the house
• Access to the private Donner Lake Marina and Beach Club to enjoy personal & family watercrafts - rentals available onsite.
• Miles of serene, scenic hiking, fishing and wildlife viewing
• Biking - everything from easy paved biking trails to rugged technical mountain biking trails. Ebikes are welcome in the area.
• Golf on some of the area’s finest courses, including the majestic Coyote Moon
• The Northwoods outdoor tennis center
• Tahoe Donner Equestrian Center
• Distinguished fine-dining at The Lodge and other nearby restaurants
• Irresistible shopping in downtown Truckee
• Excellent nearby restaurants
This is what you’ve been waiting for – an unforgettable, luxurious high-country escape at an elevation of 7200 feet!
For security purposes there are three perimeter cameras monitoring the exterior only. These are activated by motion only.
Please review our cancellation policy before booking. We strongly advise travelers insurance up front as this will protect the investment you're making on this trip, should something arise (such as winter weather, cancelled flight, health, etc.) that causes you to cancel inside our cancellation window.

We all enjoyed our stay at their beautiful log home in Truckee. Spectacular views, quiet neighbors, and close to attractions. Truckee is amazing. It has all the feels of an old rustic town with the most awesome mountain views. We went in their off season at the end of July and there wasn't a lot of people which was a bonus. The owners are super nice and respond quickly.

The view was amazing, great place to spend a week.

It was as beautiful as the pictures showed, pictures don’t do justice of the beauty of the views.
All 11of us had wonderful game, puzzle, meal and conversation time in the set up of home. We also could have our alone time when needed.
My family said trip was beyond words, this home was a big part of that.
4.8
House was excellent, out door area had a lot of pollen. Need to replace outdoor seat cushions.

We made it an extended family trip for my son’s soccer tournament. The Cabin was clean and very open, clean and convenient for activities along truckee and Tahoe. We enjoyed our stay. The place can get warm during the day but the night time temperatures do go down and having the screen windows open provide a nice breeze into the cabin. Overall, nice place to stay for trips to truckee.

Beautiful views, spacious to accommodate large groups, and great communication.

Excellent! The view is spectacular. The house is well stocked and very comfortable for our group. This our second stay and we would definitely come back for another occasion.

We were blown away by the beautiful home we rented for a fun and relaxing weekend of play in the snow. This place has EVERYTHING you will need without leaving. There are snowy hills to sled down right out the back door, incredible views, a quiet neighborhood and all the amenities!! While the lockbox instructions were outdated and the water hadn't been turned on, the owners were fairly quick to respond and all went well after we got in and hooked up! We will DEFINITELY come back!! Thank you. It was just what the doctor ordered.

We love our stay in this beautiful cabin It’s perfect for our big family to spend time together. 💕

Great communication with friendly owners. Lots of space, well equipped kitchen and close to Truckee and ski resorts. Great backyard where we found a natural sledding hill and plenty of decks to play with snow! The downstairs game room light did not work, and no shampoo/conditioner in bathrooms, but other than that, it was a lovely comfortable stay! The bunk beds top railing may not really prevent from rolling off, just FYI for young kids. Many custom made touches with high ceilings and many lights. Equipped for young kids with playpen, highchair, and baby gate. And of course, the beautiful views.

We very much enjoyed our time here.
The master bedroom upstairs was perfect for the parents and the baby. The walk in closet fit the provided pack and play (there were two pack plays!) very well and gave our little guy the peace and quiet he demands for a good nights sleep. The house isn’t baby proofed per se but the big danger of the stairs is addressed with an optional gate that’s easy to click on
The downstairs master mirrors the upstairs master and directly below. This second master room was quiet and secluded which gave the older generation a great place to relax and hideout when needed. The other side of the downstairs had the tv room bathroom and two other bedrooms. All well done with great views. The TV also was a great place for Uncle or anyone else to watch some football or movies late into the night without disturbing anyone. All beds that were used were comfortable and had no complaints, even from our more complaint prone family members.
The kitchen, dining area and great room are impressive, comfortable well designed for entertaining. The kitchen has a ton of utensils, dishes, pots/pans etc. The hosts are responsive, kind and have reasonable rules/requests. You’re not going to mopping the floors and making beds :-)
Only suggestion we have is to replace both TV’s with smart TV with built in Hulu/Netflix and ditch cable. 3 remote setup had our older generation constantly asking for help. Our weather was atrocious while here so we spent a lot of time at home.

Quiet neighborhood with breathtaking views and so much natural sunlight. Many family dinners and coffee talks were had here! Common area was impressive!

This was a beautiful home with plenty of room for a family group of 10 people aged 4-73. It was centrally located to access many fun outdoor activities.

Absolutely loved my stay at the cabin! The experience was nothing short of wonderful. The cabin was great looking and well-maintained, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The surroundings were serene and picturesque, allowing for a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The amenities provided were top-notch, making the stay even more enjoyable. A huge shoutout to the staff for their hospitality and attentiveness, they truly went above and beyond to ensure I had a memorable stay. I can't wait to visit again and create more cherished memories at this fantastic cabin retreat

Two large master bedrooms and 2 bunk rooms make this home ideal for a multi-generational family getaway. Great outdoor patio space and well stocked kitchen makes it easy to stay in and enjoy the view. Highly recommend!

The property is stunning. The location is pretty close to most Tahoe activities. The only negative was no AC and the ceiling fans were broken so it was very hot in the house even with the windows open for ventilation. It's a great house for large parties.

Our second time staying here!! Everything was great!!

Had a great time. Very spectacular place!

Overall property nice with great location, space, view, access to clubhouse, and tubing park. Only downside was a couple things were not working perfectly (microwave, door handle, lights, etc.)

Looks like the owner is very strict sonce they shut down water and turn heater down to 48. It took us 2h to figure out how to turn on water. Management did not know
Took us one more hour to figure out how to turn on heaters, a technicianbhad to come.
Lots of strange rules in the property. Together with late check in - 5pm and too early check out - 10am.
We still enjoyed our stay but left feeling like they want to squeeze every dollar out of us and not to touch anything.

We were two families with kids aged 7-22 that stayed to enjoy skiing over the Holidays. The house is beautiful and the views are incredible. It came stocked with most things you might need, which is very helpful. We did have some issues with the fridge and freezer (didn't make ice, freezing our food in the fridge) which they responded too but couldn't really do much about at the time.
Because we had lots of teens/young adults we need to make sure there were enough beds. There is a trundle in one of the bunk rooms but the mattress was a piece of foam - not a real mattress and no one could really sleep on it and couldn't even really pull it out. We were happily surprised to find a pull out couch upstairs but it was covered in plastic so it also wasn't a comfortable place to sleep. I would recommend moving the pull out to the playroom downstairs.
Aside from these issues, it's a beautiful, well-maintained home, up in the hills. We would stay here again.

The property was perfect for our family. Kitchen well stocked. Would stay again.

We’ve stayed at this property four times in three years and it’s always amazing. The house is even more beautiful than the pictures and located in a lovely quiet neighborhood close to everything in the Tahoe-Donner area. There is so much genuine love and care put into this property. Can’t wait for our next visit!

Fit 2 families of 5 perfectly, everyone had an amazing time!

We had a great time. The home is beautiful and interesting. Would definitely stay again. We had no problem sleeping 11 across 3 families. There's a nice selection of board/card games. There are a number of minor things that need repairing throughout the home, and it was hard to keep cool during the day (August). Not a whole lot in the pantry so plan accordingly.

This property was everything that we hoped for. My parents, siblings and their families were able to stay all together. We were able to relax and spread out. I would highly recommend staying here. It is a great location.

Every Room with a View!
This was our family's second annual get together in Tahoe, and we all agreed it was a highly-rated week! This house was true to its listing, with impressively high-beamed ceilings and lots of windows and wrap-around balcony to enjoy amazing views of the mountains. The interior space was clean and plentiful for our crew of 10 adults and two small children. House layout provided comfortable privacy for our 5 family groups. Large dining table was perfect for family dinners and game time. Beds were very good as promised--important for our tall family. We appreciated the jacuzzis and fireplace in the cool evenings. Matt and Jennifer communicated thoroughly ahead of time and at the location, and in text response. All in all, a super enjoyable get away!

We stayed here for a family reunion to celebrate my daughter's graduation. We had a wonderful time! The house was gorgeous, very clean, and had everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable. It feels way bigger than it is - there was plenty of room for everyone in our party of 10. The views were incredible! Such a beautiful custom home! We will definitely be back.

Amazing cabin with spectacular views. Safeway was well stocked for all our meals and we went to Jason’s Beachside Grille on N Lake Tahoe which has great food and service. Fun spring skiing trip and Matt & Jennifer are great hosts.

Great Ski Trip Weekend
The cabin is even better in person! All of the beds were super comfortable. There were plenty of beds for our group of 12 to sleep in. The views in the morning are the best way to start the morning! We would definitely stay there again.
