About this cabin rental
Upon your arrival, step out of your car, close your eyes and take a deep breath among the majesty of towering Douglas Fir and Ponderosa Pine. Feel the warmth of a summer breeze making it's way up an awe-inspiring 10 mile southerly view, of one of the most gorgeous bodies of water on earth.
Welcome to the relaxing serenity of the country. Welcome to Turner Bay Chalet on Lake Coeur d'Alene.
This rustic, quaint and comfortable lake cabin is located on the eastern shoreline of picturesque Lake Coeur d'Alene. Take Wolf Lodge Bay exit off or Interstate 90, following Idaho's Scenic Highway 97. We are neatly positioned between the city of Coeur d'Alene and the historic logging town of Harrison.
On the main level in an open studio style, you will find a full kitchen with all the modern appliances, satellite TV, full bath with tub and shower, full size washer and dryer, queen size bed. The kids and guests will enjoy the privacy provided by the bunk style lower level of the cabin, only accessible from outside, having it's own half-bath and comfortable sleeping accommodations.
Dock and beach access will allow you to enjoy all the activities offered by lake living. Take a swim, catch a fish, explore the depths with mask and snorkel or simply soak up the sun. The waterfront fire-pit will provide ample opportunity for evening gatherings under the stars, as the sleepy waves of the lake roll in. Please note that there are stairs to the lake. A trail is available upon request for guests if needed.
Dock is private and is large enough for docking a boat. Dock dimensions are 10 x 40 feet.

Very nice place to stay loved being close to the water. Nice dock to sit and swim around. Was very easy to drive to as well. Was close enough to Harrison we drove to get ice cream.

Our family had the best stay- we loved the open access to the dock. Cabin was absolutely spotless when we arrived. Even though the owners live about 20 feet away, they were incredibly respectful and we felt we had a great deal of privacy. Our teen boys loved the bunk room - we all would love to go back and stay again. So many wonderful memories made- thank you hosts!!

What a wonderful place to enjoy peace and quiet on the lake. The owners are very responsive and accommodating. I highly recommend if you want to relax on the lake.

We loved this little place. Reasonably priced. It sleeps 6-7 comfortably and is two levels. It was only two of us and our small dog so we only used the top floor that functions like a studio apt. We brought our boat so having our own dock was awesome. We had some friends dock there too with us one night, since we had been drinking by the fire pit. They had a large 35-foot cruiser and were able to dock on the other side of our dock and sleep on their own boat. Two places to have outdoor fires and having beach access was nice. 76 steps to and from boat dock; was a bit of a work out. Worked fine for us but would not for those with physical disabilities. The hosts were always available and kind. They gave us privacy and ended up helping us twice during a stay. Having public launch point two miles away was very convenient.
Only a few constructive comments; not anything that would keep us from coming back. We were there during hottest time of year. No AC so very hot from 2-8p each day. So if not on the lake or elsewhere, it is quite warm. And, if you want access to downtown often, it is about a 30-minute drive on a two-lane very curvy road. Basically you are located near the middle of the lake between Coeur d’Alene and Harrison. No dishwasher so you need to wash your own dishes, which we didn’t mind. We will be back in two years and will definitely consider staying here again.
Thank you Ava and Kevin for allowing us to stay at your beautiful property.

The place was as advertised… everything you need. We brought the boat and used the dock. Slept all 7 of us comfortably. Such a fabulous time..the hosts are kind and engaging.
P.s. huge 2lb bass off the dock

Contrary to most reviews about the many stairs we very much liked them made for a good work out. It was a great place very much enjoyed. Thank you

Cute cabin 1969s style with nice view of lake. Upstairs has one bed and lower level is a bunk room with multiple beds. You have to go outside to access. Both have bathrooms. Great for two couples or a big family where parents want some level of separation. Beach and dock were lovely and private. There are stairs. Ava allowed us to use their private path for my old German shepherd with bad hips because the stairs were hard on her. They were very nice hosts. They were next door, but we never saw them and cabin is far enough away that it is private. We will book again

The property was in excellent condition when we showed up. We had to cut our stay short but plan on returning next year.

We loved our stay at this cabin. It is small and very basic, but everything was clean and well-appointed. Our tween-aged kids loved that they had their own space in the basement bunk room. Owners were pleasant and easy to communicate with.

My wife, our dog & I spent three blissful (albeit hot) days at this lovely old cabin overlooking Lake Coeur d’Alene, and it was the perfect tonic for an otherwise stressful trip. (We were in a car accident outside of Sandpoint on the second day of our vacation that we were VERY fortunate to walk away from!). Having grown up in the midwest (Minnesota & Wisconsin), this place brought back many happy memories of lake cabins we’ve visited in the past, and the nice dock and rock beach below made for a great swimming experience during a searing heat spell in the area. The only downsides were the road noise that we experienced from the nearby highway (probably worse than normal since we needed to leave all the windows wide open with the heat), as well as the long flight of steep stairs down to the water (would not recommend this place for older folks, small children or folks with disabilities). Otherwise, the hosts, Ava & Kevin, were very friendly & welcoming, and we really enjoyed just kicking back and letting the breeze off the big lake carry our cares away….

This cabin is amazing in many ways. Mostly because it reminded my wife and me of lake cabins growing up in northern Michigan. The bunkhouse is so cool and quiet. The whole vibe is authentic cabin experience. Highly recommended!! The owners are very responsive and helpful.

We loved the property and the owners were very friendly and easy to communicate with. The only issue was the many stairs to get to the lake but it didnt stop us from enjoying the water. It also would have been nice if there was an air conditioner during the 90+ heat but overall it was a pleasant place to spend time with family.

Our stay was amazing! This quaint, little cabin was perfect for our dog. He loved playing in the lake! We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and taking in the views of Lake Coeur D Alene.

This cabin was great. The host provided all the daily basic accommodations:bath, kitchen, bedrooms. Everything you would need for stay. The views of the lake are gorgeous, plus having access to the dock! The host even has chairs, life jackets, and floating down by the lake. We loved loved the canoe! So fun! The only downside was the 70+ stairs down to the lake. We have two small children, so that was definitely a task to get them and our stuff down there. My 6 year old had no problem with it though! Overall, lovely experience, we would definitely recommend a stay at Turner Bay Chalet.

My wife and daughter and sister and brother in law spent four days at the Chalet. We had multiple outside areas to enjoy the wonderful view of Lake Coeur d’Alene at turner bay and spent as much time in the lake as we could on Our private dock with two patio tables with umbrellas and eight chairs as well as four lounge chairs. The temperature was 100 degrees every day, we kept the Chalet closed up during the day and it kept both levels very nice for sleeping each night. There were lots of tall beautiful trees for plenty of shade that made it real nice for cooking and eating outside on the deck with that awesome view of the lake. It was just perfect for us. We chose the chalet for being out in the awesome weather and in the lake. We all really enjoyed our stay at Kevin and Ava's Chalet, we only wish we had reserved more time there. We would certainly stay there again and look forward to our next trip.
Thankyou Kevin and Ava!

We had a nice time in the little cabin. It is a little beach cabin and nothing fancy. No Ac but fans and the windows open at night helped. We were a little far from CDA and things we had scheduled to do. Just note the distance as a bit of a drive on curvy roads but quiet and pretty area and we did venture to Harrison for dinner one night - small town fun and about a 25 minute drive. We made the drive about 5 times back and forth from town due to a boat rental, Atv rental and dinner. The beach access was easy and fun. Best part as well as the deck. We used the canoe and swam off the dock, just us which was nice to have a private beach. The deck is lovely with views and having a coffee out there. I enjoyed each morning. We did not see the owners at all although next door. Very private for us. The shower is a bit wonky with pressure and hard to take a cooler shower due to the pressure but we made it work. Little kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and made dinner one night. Most of the time we are out. But bring supplies due to being out there.
Our girls are younger and did not sleep downstairs as separate entrance. So they slept on the futon that folds out and us in the bed. Pretty tight little quarters but worked for us. Just a note in case come with a bigger party. Also this is my fault but no hair dryer.. I should have checked. We enjoyed our little cabin stay on the beach. Cute little place and reasonable too for a family.

Owner was super easy to deal with and very responsive. We only stayed 2 nights, but had a great time. Was a little worried that with no AC the temps in the 90’s would be hot in cabin, but shade and fans kept it bearable and it cooled off quickly after sundown.

This cabin is an absolute gem
We spent a week staying at the cabin and it was wonderful. We saw bald eagles and turkeys and spent days lounging on the dock and swimming with our dogs. The owners are very welcoming and not intrusive at all. We will definitely be back!

Nice place to stay
We enjoyed our visit here. Only downsides are approx. 70 steep stairs to the water, and low water pressure in the shower. Otherwise, everything was fantastic!

Relaxing, beautiful, peaceful....
I brought my 2 children ages 9 and 14 and both absolutely loved this cabin. We were also so excited that it was pet friendly!!! The owners who live on the property were warm and welcoming yet very respectful of your privacy. The cabin was immaculate and so comfortable and cozy. It felt like you went back in time to summer camp except with super comfy beds and all the amenities you would need. Town is a bit of a drive but it was exactly the escape we were looking for and was worth it for the view. My kids loved floating in the lake and I loved sunning on the dock. I would return here in a heartbeat! Loved everything about it!

Wonderful Cabin!!
We loved our stay in the Turner Bay Chalet! It was so comfortable and it had everything we needed for the week we were there! It was very private and only 30 minutes from Coeur D'ALENE. The dock was wonderful to use and to view the beautiful sunsets. The stairs to the lake are fine if you are physically fit! We will definitely be back. Ava was very helpful and accommodating! The cabin was super clean too! Our only recommendation would be to cut a few of the smaller trees down to have a better lake view from the cabin! Wonderful overall!! Can't say enough good things about this place!!

2021 Family Vaca
We had a great time at the “Turner Bay Chalet”. We had access to all amenities needed for our stay. My mom from Nebraska was with us, we celebrated our youngest son’s 18th birthday with his friends, and enjoyed the grandkids coming to stay and play with us.

Upstairs Downstairs
We slept downstairs cuz it was cooler (fan provided by owner) and there was a bathroom for nighttime visits..We loved upstairs, too, and I used the kitchen to cook a few meals. All great! We spent so much time swimming off the dock and even used owners’ canoe 2 days! Lake area was really nice! Our old dog was welcomed and enjoyed her time, too!
