We had a great time celebrating my father-in-law’s 80th birthday. The house was well equipped and had plenty of room for a large group! Especially enjoyed the balcony and grill!

We had a large family gathering to celebrate my dad’s 80th birthday. We rented the property next door also. The large deck across the house and open concept of the house made it perfect for all to gather. The grill was perfect for outside cooking. As I told the host we cooked, talked and played games on the deck. We cooked, ate, and danced in the kitchen. We played games at the dining room table and still had room to sit and talk in the living room. Being so close to the lake was great as we had 3 boats. The location on the lake was very good, we could get out of the cove easily and there were marinas close by. The lake was a little low for our stay in July which made docking hard. My family came from NJ, MD, TX, SC, and FL and all had a wonderful time. The host was responsive and answered all of our pre-stay questions. The house and property are beautiful and a great gathering spot. We would stay here again.

This house was perfect. Its has a very open and large living space. Our group of a dozen people easily sat for meals together in the kitchen and dining room. Lots of deck space! The boat house has two spots which was nice. We had two pontoons delivered right to the house! It was the perfect place for our weekened getaway.

My group needed to find a place that’s 100% pet free due to severe allergies and after a ton of research I found this place - and it was amazing!! Huge - kitchen, rooms, living room, balcony - everything. Nice king beds - perfect for 4-5 couples. We loved our stay and will be back!

If you are considering this location for your trip to Lake Anna - KEEP LOOKING. This listing is misleading as it only sleeps 10 and does not have pull out beds or futons as indicated in the “important info” that was sent just prior to our trip. Dishwasher was not secured properly. (This same issue was brought up in a review dated last year and still has not been fixed). There were several broken chairs and we were not given the proper codes for the lockbox.
Most importantly there was no hot water from the time we got there! By the second evening, when the technician still could not get it fixed, we asked for a monetary adjustment or refund and this was the response we got:
“If she wants a complete refund, tell her she needs to pack her bags right now and leave our property. That's the only way it's gonna happen she's not staying under our roof one more night.
The water has been on the entire time she can wash her hands and take a cold shower, but if she stays under our roof, there will be no refund we do not guarantee that appliances do not break down. We have done everything in our power to correct the situation. She wants her money back pack your bags and get out tonight you stay you pay”.
This was at 8:30 pm and the two babies were sleeping. We stayed the night and packed up and left the next morning cutting our trip short. When we left the hot water still was not restored.
Shame on this property owner for not being prepared, professional or even apologetic!

The photos don't do this listing justice; the common areas and master bedroom are HUGE! We had several friends come hang out for Labor Day weekend. It's a nice gated neighborhood and there is plenty of space between neighbors so we were free to play some music on the giant covered deck and have a great time without disturbing anyone. The house was very clean when we arrived, the kitchen well-stocked, and all the appliances were in excellent working order. All in all a VERY comfortable house for a vacay. * The water access for this property is quite a ways from the house and since it's the edge of a cove, the water is stagnant. There is a beautiful lakefront park a few miles away though (Pleasants Landing; there is a cost for admission). **We rented a house on the next street with the same general layout; I'll be leaving the same review for that one, so if you're checking out the othe property as well, this review is legit.

The house was spacious enough for our family. Kitchen and great room allowed for the family to comfortable interact. Televisions in ever room. Beautiful scenery and easy access to the State Park. Cell phone connection fair but not accessible in all parts of the property. There were a few negatives noted. There wasn’t a house number visible so we thought we had the correct house but had to enter the passcode on the door to be sure. What if we were at the wrong house? The kitchen drawers should be secured as the drawers went off track easily. There is an electrical outlet with no cover plate at the end of the kitchen counter which poses a hazard. A couple of window blinds are not secured to their mounting brackets. The backyard website picture needs to be updated. As there is underbrush under the trees all the way the the dock. The backyard was not usable because of the mosquitos and other bugs. The downstairs bedrooms had small caterpillar type bugs which were also present in the garage. The upstairs deck provided a nice view. However the nail pops present prohibited walking with bare feet on the deck. These nails should be hammered flush with the boards.
The insects in the backyard would be a reason we would not return to this location in the summer.

120th Birthday Celebration
Firstly, our impression of the Great Room area and deck was that the space was huge! In fact, the whole house was huge! Bedrooms are very large with king beds in each. The location was fantastic, quiet and peaceful.
Unfortunately, while all this was very good, we felt there is room for improvement. Some simple TLC would make this one of the best places we have ever stayed!
Upon arrival, we thought we were in the wrong place! The front entrance looks like a large storage facility and the entire place needs a good power wash.
None of the bathrooms had towels and we had to hunt them down. Finally found them, along with sheets in the laundry room. We have always had the towels either waiting on the beds for us or in the bathrooms.
While the kitchen is GINORMOUS, it too needed a little attention. We were not informed the freezer was broker. However, a chest freezer had been added next to the fridge for our use. All the drawers were very difficult to open. When unpacking dry goods, we found all the pantry pull out shelves catty-wonker and needed to be placed back on the runners. The dishwasher is not properly attached to the wall. When I opened it (it was full of dishes), it nearly flipped forward. Had I not been quick enough, many of the dishes would have been broken. Just an FYI, I think someone made off with your wine bottle opener. We had to go buy one.
The deck was one of our favorite spots to have breakfast and coffee in the morning. Several of the chairs are broken and the main dining table needs the supports fixed. Had we not noticed them hanging, we would have scratched ourselves. Having said all that, it truly was a very relaxing spots for the 6 of us to hang out!!
When the 6 of us get together, we always make the best of the time. So, we did just that! Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Fun Murder Mystery weekend!
Everything was wonderful, the house was huge and beautiful. The listing sounded like there was 6 bedrooms instead of 5, but we made it work! It was a little difficult to find the entrance, because the sign was knocked down, but they were very quick getting back to us despite the fact that they were on vacation outside the U.S.! Thank you!!! We can’t wait to rent from you regularly!

Solid house for the price!
We enjoyed our stay at this house a lot! The pictures actually do not portray this house very well. It is nicer in person than in the pictures. The kitchen and living area are large and practical.
The landlord is not the quickest to reply but was still nice to work with. We accidentally broke something in the house and he was easy to work with through squaring up.
I would recommend this house!

Absolutely Perfect Weekend!
This property couldn’t have been more perfect for our group! We had family come in from all over to celebrate my Mom’s 70th Birthday and my victory over breast cancer! This home gave our family plenty of room to celebrate comfortably inside and out! Thank you to The homeowners who were very attentive and helpful with our questions. I would highly recommend this property if you’re looking for a perfect location to host a large group. The love and memories created at this property is definitely one for the books!! You won’t be disappointed!

Spacious house with lots of room and great master shower!
We booked this rental for a place that our family and friends could stay at during our wedding weekend. The house is huge! Bedrooms all have king beds and lots of room for sleeping bags. Couches are super comfortable as well. The wi-fi is strong which is very helpful when there's no cell reception! Master bedroom has a very surprising in-room shower situation, which was hilarious but also a great shower. Be warned though, you will have to bring everything but towels and linens with you. This was a little disappointing to us at this price point to have to go out and get toilet paper and hand soap for our guests. The house is overall in decent shape but much of the kitchen/kitchen items need to be deep cleaned.

Crown Sharpening Getaway
I hosted a ladies weekend getaway to rest, relax and recharge! We had a wonderful time. The inside of the property was definitely better and prettier in person than the pics convey. We loved the decor. I would recommend some amenity and outside furniture upgrades. ie. patio furniture, more flood lights, Garbage disposable, working freezer, laundry area. I would also advise the owner to check behind the cleaning crew. There is no way that the home should have been as dusty as it was. The Coffee pot was filthy (Decided not to even use it) needs to just be replaced. Previous guests’ belongings were found under the beds and behind the dressers. Beyond that the property provided the necessary setup needed for our spiritual retreat. Check in procedure very smooth. Property can be tricky in finding depending on the route you take in. Overall We thoroughly enjoyed our selves.

Great Family Vacation
We turned a bachelorette party into a family vacation due to COVID. We had a great time! The house was huge and had lots of space for 5 adults and an active 1 year old without tripping over each other. The location is great being right on the water. We rented a boat and it was great to be able to go back to the house for lunch. The house was clean and well stocked with towels and linens. We will definitely be back!

Perfect for family gatherings!
My family and I rented this property for a weekend get together, and it was absolutely perfect! The kitchen and porch were large and great for hanging out before and after a day at the lake.

Functional home for large families or multi family getaways
The home is very basic on the outside, but does have a dock at the very end of a creek and it has a “sun deck” you can bring your own chairs up on. We brought our own boat over to the dock for the weekend. and were able to use the nice community docks right next door. Some of the family swam off the end of the dock area as there is a nice ladder there when you’re ready to get out of the water. The interior decor is a little unique but it was fine. The kitchen was huge. Great for a large group. The upper back deck is also large. Several of the dining chairs out there are partially broken and need to be replaced. Otherwise, great for some weekend fun.

A truly hidden gem
Almost Heaven is true to it's name, it's very welcoming home and comfortable for small and large parties.
Driving to the property is in a gated community. So you know you won't have random people running by. The home is hidden in the forest, in fact there are two ways in, one of them is through thick forest. And one is through a cul-de-sac on the opposite end. I recommend going through there. This home is right next to a boat launch point so if you have your own boat. It's easily accessible to launch from.
You never want to judge a book by its cover. Which is what it feels like when you first look at it. A plain wall with windows and a small enterence you can feel uneasy, but do not worry, once you enter the home it's the most comfortable home you can walk into, ground floor has 3 bedrooms (larger than most bedrooms you expect) all with king beds. The common area sharing the three bedrooms has couches and open space and is a good place to relax and keep away from noise.
As you walk up the stairs you are greeted by a wide open space. A large dining table, a quite large kitchen and a nice open living room. The utensils bowls etc in the kitchen are accessible and easy to prepare a large meal for you and your companions.
This area is great for large parties or families with kids where they can enjoy themselves.
There are 2 bedrooms upstairs and are as large if not larger than the 3 below.
The patio area is large and carpeted so it's easy to walk and not worry about splinters. A little worn outdoor furniture but comfortable outlooks a slightly blocked view of the docks.
The homeowners were easy to contact and made the entire experience easy. When there were problems or concern I could easily reach out and werw able to resolve any problems. They provided enough towels pillows and blankets for 12 people comfortably to sleep whether on bed or couches.
My other guests who joined me have said this place is a catch and a great find. We definitely will be looking to stay here again. And stay even longer than before.

Better than described!
The house was better than the description and pictures! The house is very large and accommodated 8 adults and 4 children easily. The bedrooms were very spacious. The master suite was huge and the bed was so comfortable. I felt right at home. The house was very clean and had great furnishings. The refrigerator and freezer were very big and could hold all of our food and drinks. The back deck is so spacious that we were able to all relax and play cornhole on the deck with lots of space. The property is in a gated neighborhood and is located at the end of a short cove, so it was quiet and peaceful but we were just a two minute boat drive to be in all the action. We had our own dock to park our boat and to fish from, but the property also meets the boat landing for the neighborhood which was super convenient. We did not have to walk down steps to the dock either, it was just at the edge of the lawn. We fished, kayaked, cooked on the grill, played cornhole, boated, and swam. The hosts were very accommodating and could be reached at all times. We were just a short drive from the grocery store so we could cook all our meals. It was a fun and relaxing weekend. When we go back, we will be booking the same property!

Fantastic house - great for large groups
Quiet beautiful location, easy lake access (boat ramp right next of the house) and large boat house. Our kids fished and sat by the water watching the boats! Wonderfully relaxing. House is huge and beautiful, especially the kitchen! Our group of 12 had plenty of room; had lots of different rooms and activities to keep everyone of all ages occupied and having a blast! Owners were extremely accommodating and helpful; we would definitely stay here again.

Large house, but no direct water access.
We had a great time here! The house was very large and accommodated many of us. The decorations in each room were great and made it really fun!
However, while the listing says the house sleeps 18, there are not enough beds and a limited number of bathrooms. We ended up having people sleep on the couches and air mattresses. This wasn't a problem, but it wasn't what we were expecting.
The kitchen and massive porch were the best parts of the house because we were able to do a lot of cooking and all eat together outside. The lawn was great - perfect for plenty of lawn games.
The other piece that I wish was more clear in the listing is that the house isn't actually right on the water. It is part of a community and there's no direct water access. We had to walk out onto the community dock to just jump into the lake.
The owner was very responsive and great to work with!

AWESOME HOUSE!!!
This house was awesome!!! Has five nice bedrooms, the master bedroom is enormous and has its own entry to the deck. There are two bedrooms on the main floor and three bedrooms on the lower floor. All of the rooms are really nice and have plenty of space. We had 16 people there and we had a few people on the couches and we had a few on blow up mattresses. There was plenty of space in the main room for the blow up mattresses and plenty of room for a few downstairs.
The kitchen is great, lots of counterspace, and cupboard space. The deck is huge and takes up the enitre back part of the house. great place to grill (which was provided) and hang out with friends and family. We spent most of our time at the house on the deck. The deck was great and overlooked the backyard and lake.
This was our second time coming back to this house for the 4th of July! We love the fact that it is secluded from the other neighbors, how big the house is, all the lawn space, and the home renter. The renter is great, they live a couple houses down and she is so helpful and friendly. The first year we came down, she walked over and introduced herself, brought us over a fresh tank of propane and asked if we needed anything from the store becuase she was going to make a run. She told me if I needed anything just to give her a call. She is SUPER FRIENDLY and we only saw them when we would go down to the water to go boating.
The house is adjacent to the private boat launch for the community, it made it easy to load and unload my boat. There is a nice dock there that you can go swimming around, and the house has a two boat covered dock. The renter even let us rent her pontoon boat, not sure if she is still doing that or not, but might be worth asking her.
We are all around 30 yrs old and were up late everynight. Defintely a great house to spend the weekend or week with your friends and family. We look forward to going back for a third yeard!

no private water access, not enough beds or bathrooms. Nice large kitchen.
The house was very large--especially the kitchen. It seemed as though more beds and definitely more bathrooms could have been put in. The house says it sleeps 18 and there are only three bathrooms. And while it says it sleeps 18, there were only beds for up to ten people (two to a bed). From what we were able to tell, the couches were not pull-out, so I am not sure where an additional 8 people would have slept.
The upstairs deck was falling apart. There were literally gaps in the beams where you could could see 15 feet down to the downstairs patio. On top of that, large parts of the deck were constructed out of plywood. It didnt seem very safe. The patio and deck furniture were not nice.
The biggest downside to the house was that there was no real private access to the water. The lake was pretty far down a hill and was one big shared dock area. You couldnt get into the water by the house because the water was stagnant and full of oil from the many boats that were parked in the shared dock.
We feld misled about water access given the description of the house.
We would not rent this home again.
