About this apartment rental

This is our newest and most exciting unit. Before, it was a one bedroom with two small business offices on the same floor.
We now offer the entire top floor of the building. We have added a bedroom as well as a family room with a TV, small library, games, succulents, and a couch which folds out and sleeps another. There is another TV in the dining room.
One TV is cable and the other is on streaming services.
Both bedrooms have queen beds. The larger bedroom is at the front of the house and the smaller is at the back of the house. The family room is at the front of the house. The front rooms look onto Main Street.
There is a dining room with a kitchenette. The full bathroom is private.
It's an awesome spot on the north end of Main Street. An easy walk to restaurants, shops, yoga, church, local attractions and nature.

We added art to the space. Much of it is by locals artists. One well known artist whose water colors of Lee are on the walls, lived with us in the big Garfield House for years. There are old show posters from local theaters, handmade furniture and sculptures.

The parking lot is behind the building ( named the Annex) with a short rock pathway which brings you to the entrance which is on the side of the house. The light will turn on automatically.
There's a key pad at the entrance. Once inside climb the steps and you have arrived.
It's a comfortable space for everyone including pets.

Downstairs is Jen Goss's studio. For over 10 years have been lucky to have Jen, licensed in massage and hypnosis, be on site. She has a welcoming and peaceful space and offers personalized attention, a listening ear, and gives a 5star massage. And you don't have to leave the building. Just walk downstairs.

Also on the first floor is our smallest vacation unit: The Studio. This is at the front of the building with the porch.

Behind the Annex we have a robust vegetable garden for our guests. This year we had a bunker crop. Visit during the summer or fall and enjoy the harvest. There is hike by foot from the Annex, up the hill into the woods and ledges.

There is a green grassy great lawn with Adirondack Chairs - enjoy the passersby, the sunset, the night sky, hot air balloons. Or read a book, zone out, stargaze, throw a frisbee, kick a soccer ball, do yoga, make snow angels.

We do self check in with a minimum of a two night stay. Wifi is provided.
The location on Main Street is ideal for walking to the farmers market, church, the village green, local taverns, restaurants, diners and all sorts of local shops. Short driving distances bring you to well known attractions such as Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, Kripalu, Norman Rockwell museum, The Clarke, theaters, hiking trails, gardens, fishing, ski mountains, lakes, rivers.
Lee is a walking down and all you have to do is step out the door. Our block
hosts a a popular sports bar and a high end French Bistro and Bar.

Check in was easy, beds are comfortable. I’m a big and tall guy, so only qualm I had was the small toilet, and low shower head. Aside from those, great stay!

Nice spot for one or two people. Part of an office complex but comfortable. I didn't have any issues with the shared bathroom as I was off all day. Nice location. Everything in town is walkable from here.

Shared bathroom was a surprise and unacceptable. Massage therapist and clients used our bathroom! Host should provide therapist with downstairs bathroom. Host should not advertise this unit as booking the entire apartment.

Jeff was wonderful to work with. We had questions and he found solutions. Garfield House "Virginia"unit is where we stayed for 4 nites.So close to everything. highly recommend staying here. If we are every visiting the Berkshires again we will return to Garfield's Larry and Mary Ann

Nicely appointed room with air conditioner. Comfortable bed. Bathroom right next door. Parking provided. Only complaints were that the picture given is a bit misleading as it is of the Garfield House while the room is in the Office Complex, right next door, but a much smaller and older looking building. Still just fine inside, but not the same building. Also we stayed there on two of the hottest nights of the summer. The air in the room with the air conditioner was okay, but the bathroom has no air conditioning and it was extremely hot.

Basic accommodations. The walkway to the property was not lit until you got to the front door which lit up on a sensor. The kitchen did not have a sink! The only sink was in the bathroom. You could not even fill a water bottle because the sink was that shallow. The bed was low to the ground. No frame. No chair but for a folding chair in the hall. Very basic. fill a water bottle !

My impression was that it was a good deal. I was hoping it was reliable and it was. I had some bumps with the lock being numerical and just understanding that. but I felt the owner /manager was being safe. It was a little hard to convince my freind who was visiting that we could count on getting in ! But he liked it after getting in. No one else was sharing the kitchen, so that made it really nice, but we understood it was a shared kitchen. Great town there and a great place for the meMORIAL DAY PARADE.

Clean and conveniently located to town. Easy self check in. Ample parking. The only disappointment was no kitchen sink. It was a bit of a challenge to wash the coffee pot in the bathroom sink.

We were so impressed by how well thought out this little room was, many little touches such as the sound machine, a closet organizer, a laundry basket, great sheets, and then our host leaving us a few things in the kitchen and toiletries for the bathroom. This is a modest room, but it is very clean, with a very comfortable bed, nice art, and there was not a thing lacking. The room has access to a shared kitchen and bathroom on the same floor and is above offices on the ground floor - all were extremely clean and well laid out. The building had great parking and was in an excellent location for going out to dinner or strolling through town. While we did not meet Jeff in person the hospitality was evident everywhere and we truly enjoyed staying at this rental. Jeff was very organized and responsive while I was booking and then when we arrived. I would welcome the chance to stay again!

Nice private room . Kitchenet area and bathroom is shared when the office folks are there but we stayed for a 3 day weekend and had the place to our selves. It worked out great.

Self check in/out was great and easy. Very clean and comfortable. Thoughtful basics like shampoo, soap and qtips in case you forget them. So nice to have kitchenette to use and there was even an assortment of teas. Close to Tanglewood and downtown Lenox.

My fiance and I were extremely pleased with our overnight stay here. We had a wedding to attend in Great Barrington and Jeff made everything easy and care-free for us. Finding the place was easy and we had it to ourselves for the weekend, so we had tons of space. He had left us a few snacks in the fridge and the free internet was fantastic. We had tons of space to park and even the Uber found us easily! There also seemed like a bunch of great places to walk to, so we may have to check those out next time!

My husband and I came for an overnight so that we stay over after going to Tanglewood. This place was just right. It was very clean and comfortable. Even though our bedroom was in a space upstairs with two doors for offices off of the kitchen area, we saw no one and it was very quiet. The room came with lots of extras provided like an extra blanket, lots of towels, lotion, white noise that we didn't need to use but like to use, and a few miscellaneous toiletries in case we needed them. I would stay here again.

Very nice clean property that worked very well for our needs. Short door into bedroom caught my head a few times, learned to remove hat to see it better and duck more! Water and fruit a welcoming nice touch very much appreciated. A/C worked great. Mattress so so. Bathroom bright and clean , Thank You so much!

We enjoyed our stay; the room was on the second floor with access to a bathroom and kitchen. Apparently, the bathroom and kitchen are available to the business that shares the building as well; fortunately, no one else was around or we would have found the sharing to be a major drawback. The bedroom door locks, but the rest of the apartment does not. Everything was clean and comfortable!

Perfect for us!

This was perfect for a quick, clean and economical stay for my boyfriend and I. It was clean and accomodating. This was the first time I had ever used a vacation rental and was pleasantly surprised. However, I will remember to ask about sharing of restrooms and dining areas. Fortunately, we were the only ones in the unit so it was ok. But it would have been quite uncomfortable if others were also sharing the small quarters. Overall, i would highly recommend this unit. Nancy
