Such lovely, friendly girls who looked after us in the bar and restaurant. Room and bed were very comfortable. Stunning view overlooking the water from our room. Wonderful having a restaurant on site.
The need to park car in a paid, open overnight car park 5-10 mins away.. but everything else made up for it… especially location. We also knew this before booking.

Wonderful location with harbor view. Close to town center but very quiet. The bedding is very comfortable.
I waited for 1 hour for my breakfast without given any explanation. It messed up my trip plan a little bit. Also the room was not warm enough even with the extra heat opening.

Harbor view even from ground floor acceptable
rooms small, restaurant was closed one of things I liked about Rosedale was restaurant paid for breakfasts which was substituted with one cold and one hot at Portree Hotel . I know staff is short but would have liked to have notified in advance. Room was clean but very small, tea and condiments in same cup needed to drink tea.

Comfortable room, great breakfast, helpful staff, amazing view.
Our room was on the alley and so it was noisy at night.

I loved the location and the fact that it was off the beaten path. The view from our room over looking the harbor was amazing, and the food in the restaurant was delicious! The staff was delightful!

Great room! Had everything you needed, comfrey bed, a lot of space and an amazing view!
The breakfast was included and suuper delicious. Location couldn't be any better!
The room was extremely cold even though both heaters were on (I was there in end of February), but they provided additional blankets.

Perfect location on the harbour with excellent views from the restaurant. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Seafood chowder which we both had for the nights we were there.
One morning the chef didn't turn up so breakfast had to be re-located to a neighbouring sister hotel or we were given the option of having toast, drink and the view at the Rosedale.

We picked a harbour-facing room and location was perfect for this hotel, we really loved that. We also always looked forward to breakfast and dinner at the hotel as there was a staff (Polish) who was very warm, friendly and his upbeat nature was infectious for us - a pity we didn't recall his name! Breakfast was generous as we were given the option to choose from the cold menu & 1 from the hot cooked meals. Check in was fast, smooth, informative and the front desk staff even offered to help us with our luggage to our room on the 2nd floor. Room was clean and had all the necessary amenities (no fridge just fyi) that were enough for us. Loved the bay window seat which I imagine would be lovely during the warmer seasons to read or watch from. Portree is a small town, so there aren't too many options; this hotel might be among the better ones.
The room was smaller than what we had expected from the photos we saw online. It was thoughtful that the hotel provided a spare portable heater but even that together with the installed heating in the room was not warm enough for us during the time we stayed there in early winter. Perhaps bringing warmers/warm pads might be a good idea.

Excellent location, you couldn’t get any closer to the sea and the view from the room was picture postcard perfect. The staff were professional and super courteous. The food was first class, their chef is five star!
Parking is an issue but it makes mention of that on the website so you can’t complain. Nearest car parks are only a couple of minutes walk though.

The staff was very friendly. We got a 3 bed family room which was huge. The room was clean, and just outside the hotel there is a beautiful view of the lake. Being in the town centre there are many restaurants and pubs within walking distance.
The single beds are a bit small, and there was no view through the windows.

Everything was great, the location is obviously the key element here. The food at the restaurant was delicious and the staff were absolutely wonderful.
I am aware that the price reflects the view (which was beautiful) more than anything else but if you remove the view, the room is disappointing for that price.
