LAKEFRONT ~ HOT TUB ~ RIVERBEND AMENITIES ~ FIREPLACE ~ FAMILY FRIENDLY ~ ROMANTIC ~ INTERNET
4 Lucky Ducks is a super nice, family-friendly lakefront log home on Mirror Lake. This cozy cabin has three bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a stone gas log fireplace, a hot tub, an outdoor shower, and more. There is comfortable seating in the living room and a functional kitchen with nice stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and hickory cabinets. The dining table is at bar height and seats 8, with additional seating for three at the breakfast bar. Down the hall is a half bath, a bedroom with a queen bed, a television, and a spacious bathroom with double vanity.
From the living room, ascend the stairs to the loft, where you will find a unique foosball/coffee table that is fun yet tasteful. The loft offers seating for four, with a futon sofa that can be turned into a bed. Enjoy the lake view from the two bedrooms and the full bathroom on the upper level. One bedroom has two sets of twin bunk beds and a television. The other bedroom is quite spacious, with a queen-sized bed and a television.
Walk in front of the home and around to the other side of the deck to descend the stairs, and you will reach the lower covered patio area. This space is equipped with an outdoor shower, a two-person swing, a large hot tub, a hammock, seating for 4, and a ping pong table. There is also an additional uncovered patio area with a built-in charcoal grill.
This home is unique in that it has a fabulous flat grassy yard in a gorgeous setting day and night. The night sky offers a breathtaking view of the stars. Down by the lake is a canoe, three kayaks, a water slide that will take you directly into the lake, a ladder to climb in or out of the lake, and a very nice wooden bench seating 6-7 people. The yard is fabulous because even in the winter, it is predominantly grassy. The young or the young-at-heart will love playing in the yard here. Back to this home's deck is a bench swing, a sturdy rustic picnic table, and additional seating for 5. It's very nice with plenty of places to gather with friends and family or find solace on your own.
AREA WIDE NOTICE: Lake Lure will undergo a drawdown from January 1st, 2025, through the first quarter of 2025(March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet have been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. For more information, click here. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. This will not affect the smaller lakes in the area, only Lake Lure itself.

Very clean home, beautiful, quiet location, easy to get to the water and a small slope to get back to cabin, I managed with crutches! Excellent communication with realtor! Would highly recommend for anyone, thank you so much.

The property is perfect. Well maintained. The whole family absolutely enjoyed the ease of access to the dock/lake. The backyard is flat and an easy walk to and from. No 100 stairs to go up and down so that’s a huge plus.
We love this location and the Riverbend community. If you want peace and quiet you’ll want to stay here.
The house itself was very comfortable. When I stay at a lake or something in the mountains this is what I want the house to look like. Plenty of room and space to spread out some if needed.
Canoe and kayaks were clean and easy to launch. Plenty of paddles. The grill outback is a nice touch. Not having a fire pit kinda stinks so if the company reads this, have one put in please so we can use it next year!
My only caution or advice would be to watch out for the temperature in the loft. This is where 2 bedrooms are and where most people will sleep. We checked in on an 84 degree day and the thermostat was set to 78. It was hot up there. The old adage that heat rises was well in effect. It took it all night to cool down to a comfortable temperature for us. The weather changed and it got cooler there but the loft area stayed warm. I would be prepared with a fan or several if staying here in the summer. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely will stay here again including the summer but just be prepared for it to be warm up there.
Overall this place gets a 5/5 or a 10 or whatever scale you want to use. We loved it. Will 100% be a return visitor!

We LOVED our stay at 4 Lucky Ducks and hope to return next summer!! The house is just as described, right on the water! The slide was such a hit for our family 8-80yrs old, couldn’t even begin to count the amount of times we went down the slide!! We enjoyed hours in the kayaks and paddle boards, fishing, feeding the ducks and fish and relaxing in the hot top!!! The house is very well equipped, with all the kitchen supplies needed, except a pizza cutter, but we made do. All the beds were comfortable. Loved all the outdoor seating! The house was very clean upon arrival. No complaints from our family. We did encounter a bear while kayaking… so just be on the look out. The location was perfect, quiet and tucked away in a private neighborhood with access to an amazing swimming hole (I believe part of the Broad River) at the entrance. Beautiful views of lake lure in your way in. Grocery store, zip lining, tubing, restaurants just a few miles away. We enjoyed hiking right within the neighborhood. 5 stars for sure!

My cousin’s family and our family stayed here for spring break and we could not have loved it more. The house was a great size for two adult couples and 4 kids- ages 2-6. The house does not have internet, which was well documented by the property site, but had good enough cell reception for hot spots and the occasional work/zoom call. We are already dreaming of a return visit.

Great, private location. The house was very clean and comfortable. We loved the slide into the lake and my daughter lived kayaking for the first time. We'll definitely go back! Loads of fun!

This property was just as described only more beautiful and serene. The house was immaculate and well appointed with soft linens, all the kitchen supplies and fun water toys- we used the SUPs every day! Only caution is not only is there no wifi, our cell service was super spotty as well making communicating with the outside world (family, pet-sitters) tricky.

Amazing lakeside cabin
We have been to this neighborhood many times but never stayed on the lake. To have all the amenities without having to leave the property daily was such a blessing with 3 kiddos. We did, of course, visit the beach, waterfall, swimming hole, and go tubing down the river! There are only 2 issues we had- no WIFI & several lightbulbs were out. There were replacement bulbs in the cabin but we didn’t feel comfortable changing them & didn’t have a ladder to do so. Other than that, we loved it!!

Perfect location, close to Lake Lure and the Lakehouse restaurant. This is the second time my family and I have rented this property, and it was just as wonderful as we had remembered. The ping-pong table, foosball, board games, rowboat, hot tub, and dock for fishing gave us plenty of entertainment options to enjoy. I would definitely recommend this property to others!

My fiancé and I had a lovely post-Valentine's weekend at your pristine cabin! It was super clean, cozy and more than enough room inside and out! We loved all the wood, the wrap-around deck, windows that let the light stream in, the hot tub and dock access to the lake.
We'll definitely be coming back again - with friends and family!
Thank you for allowing us access to your lovely cabin!

The 4 Lucky Ducks was a great cabin in the woods on a lake, which was just what we wanted. There were TVs in every room, which suited us.

Great place, some challenges at checkin
This was a great place. Very peaceful and relaxing. The lake is a small private lake, but was fun. This is a good choice for a family getaway.
The reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is the cabin was not cleaned when we showed up. However the property management company was very aggressive in fixing the situation which was very appreciated.

This was a perfect birthday getaway for my husband has he requested. Very relaxing just as we intended it to be. We will definitely be returning in the summer with friends and family.

Nice getaway
This was a great weekend getaway, property is beautiful and was very clean. The bed was really comfortable, seemed to have everything you could want/need. Grocery store isn’t far away, the roads up to the cabin are a little intimidating especially at night but the cabin location is great, quiet and a good amount of yard! Only downside is if you stay in the downstairs bedroom you can hear everyone above you so loud, we learned that the first night. Second night we made sure to go to bed after the people upstairs and it was fine! I highly recommend and we will be back for sure!

Weekend getaway
We decided to escape the coast for a few days and head to the mountains for some apple picking with the kids. We had 4 adults and 3 kids (8,3,1) in our party.
The home was very clean and everything seemed pretty new inside! Beautiful view of the lake. Well stocked. VERY comfortable beds. The hot tub was nice and worked fine. Apple picking wasn't too far away. The size of the home fit the 7 of us perfectly for the weekend...I'm not sure it would be comfortable for an extended stay with the little ones.
A few things that, if addressed, would make the stay a little better:
The trash can lid in the kitchen was broken so you have to take the lid completely off each time you want to throw something away. The trash situation in general is a little inconvenient. There is nowhere to put trash, pizza boxes, etc. until you have time to take everything to the dumpster. I felt bad storing trash in the closet but that was the only option we could find.
The stove vent doesn't work overly well. Every meal we made (baked chicken, hamburgers, bacon, etc.) required opening the doors to air the cabin out. (Not sure if this can be fixed)
Lastly, we stay at a lot of VRBO's and most have had 11am check-out. I didn't think moving it up to 10am would be a big deal. I was wrong. With three little ones and a refrigerator full of food to pack up, it's amazing how much that extra hour comes in handy. Leaving a vacation is a lot nicer when you don't feel stressed and under the gun. (I'm sure a small group of adults wouldn't mind 10am, unless you are a late sleeper)
Overall, it was a nice stay and the kids had a good time.

This place is absolutely perfect! My boys spent hours kayaking and sliding into the lake on the fun slide. They agree it was the best trip ever! We took a trip into Chimney Rock once, but otherwise hung out out the cabin. It had everything we needed for a perfect vacation. We will be back!

7 Happy People
Our family and close friends had an amazing time at this property. We usually go to the beach every year, but it being 2020 in the land of Covid, we didn't feel comfortable going to a crowded beach. We're so glad that we found this place. The water slide and kayaks were our favorite part. Beautiful scenery and seclusion were just what we needed this year. Loved not having to load all of our stuff to walk to the beach. The house was gorgeous and spacious and the large dining room table fit everyone perfectly. We also enjoyed the hot tub and ping pong table which is covered so we could use them even when it was raining. Overall a wonderful trip that exceeded our expectations.
