2 beautiful parks within close walking distance and also close access to the canal path network.

These small cobbled streets off a main thoroughfare into Bath once provided stabling and carriage stores to grand houses. Now a row of neat architect designed modern homes, they retain some of their tucked away charm with the background buzz of the city just visible. This Bath holiday home arranged over 2 floors is beautiful, fresh and bright. The entrance lobby with coat hooks and a shoe rack leads into a smart well lit corridor with doors to a ground floor double bedroom with en-suite, a spacious shower room and a separate laundry and utility room. Upstairs is an open plan kitchen and living room and another twin (or double) bedroom. Light floods in from three Velux windows which are electronically controlled, each with a wall mounted remote. Much of the modern wall art not surprisingly features hummingbirds.
The Ground Floor
The spacious double ground floor bedroom is decorated in shimmering greys and mauves and has a large window with views of Bathwick St Mary’s church. There are a couple of roomy bedside cabinets with drawers, along with a large alcove cupboard fitted with a hanging rail and deep storage shelves. The smart compact en-suite shower room is tiled in grey and silver stripes and has a corner shower, a hand-basin with storage under, a sensor operated illuminated mirror with shaving socket to one side and a WC.
On this floor is a large contemporary shower room with stylish patterned grey tiling and wall art. There is a large shower and long fitted bathroom unit incorporating a hand-basin, WC, storage cupboards and plenty of shelf space for toiletries plus a heated wall mirror. There is an additional open storage unit for towels or toiletries.
Next to this is a spacious laundry and utility room with a combined washing machine and dryer. This area stores 4 folding chairs with a small folding table stored on the landing for alternative indoor dining facilities for up to 4 people.
The First Floor
On the first floor is another large peaceful bedroom in plush grey and warm yellow with a striking rose feature wall and a large 55" wall mounted TV opposite. Two single 3’ beds can zip and link to become a 6’ double. There is a small wardrobe with drawers under and a long console with storage baskets under and a chair.
The sunny citrus and warm grey living area has a deep bay window with views of the church, Bath stone terraces, mature trees and glimpses of the main thoroughfare. There are two large cosy sofas to seat 2 and 3 with tables for drinks. There is a wall mounted smart TV with Netflix as well as a DVD and a selection of films and Wi-Fi. There is a Sonos system with speakers in both bedrooms and also USB charging points in all rooms.
The ‘U’ shaped contemporary fitted kitchen in taupe and sparkled grey has a 4 ring gas hob, an electric oven, a microwave, a small dishwasher and a medium sized fridge above worktop level, along with a separate freezer. A Nespresso coffee machine is also provided for that morning wake up call. There is a breakfast bar with 4 stools and plenty of cupboard space stacked with fresh white crockery. The foldaway table can be set up in the lounge for dining for up to 4 should you prefer a table over the breakfast bar seating.
There is parking for 1 car right out front the property with an electric car charger adjacent. Alternatively the Bath Spa coach and train stations are a level 15-20 minute walk.
The Owner of this property is open for discussion regarding bringing one dog. Small to medium size only and ideally short haired.

The place was lovely. Easy walk from all the great Bath sights: Roman Baths, Pulteney Bridge, Abbey etc.

This is a beautifully decorated property with lots of added features. Well kitted out with everything you need for a short or long stay. Having its own EV charger and parking outside the door were very convenient

Location unbeatable, walking distance from everything major. The parking space right at the door is a great advantage. The apartment is clean and well kept. I would recommend this apartment for a stay in Bath.

Absolutely gorgeous house. Everything you could possibly need, tasteful decor, beautiful bathrooms and spotlessly clean. Everything was perfect, including location and parking. We will definitely return.

Bath is the perfect city to spend Christmas and Hummingbird House is the perfect location. The house is about a 20 minute easy walk from the train station though you can also take a taxi. We were able to arrange to leave our bags at the house early and were thrilled to see some Christmas decorations when we arrived. We loved being able to walk into Bath for groceries, dinner, shopping, exploring, etc. We appreciated having a parking space and did rent a car to be able to drive to Stonehenge, etc. The only negative aspect of the house is that both bathrooms are on the ground floor which requires the people sleeping in the upstairs bedroom to negotiate the stairs at night. The MBR is on the ground floor. Everything was very clean and communication with Bath Holiday Rentals was superior.

Probably the nicest VRBO we have stayed in - bar none!

Super little house, and so close to the heart of Bath, and parking outside too! Super easy to find with directions provided. A 10 minute lovely walk along Great Pulteney Street and you’re there! Sydney Gardens even closer, and a walk along the Kennet and Avon canal is adjacent too.
The house has super comfortable beds, and a superb large internet connected TV for cosy evening entertainment. A little jewel in Bath.

What a find ! A lovely house in a great location. Not too near the town centre but also not too far away. Very clean and comfortable, supplied with everything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms very cosy. It's a warm property and the electric fans were a welcome addition. Would happily book again !

The property is lovely , beds comfortable.
I gave three star for cleanliness as the kettle needs descaling , the main bathroom floor needs cleaning properly as was pretty awful. Overall though I would recommend the property.

We stayed in Bath for a few days to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Hummingbird House is situated in a quiet mews with a short walk into the centre of bath. The property is very well equipped and pleasantly decorated. The parking space outside is also very useful.

We chose this as it looked fresh & modern, with parking and close to town. It ticked all the boxes and more!
The online contact beforehand and details for arrival were excellent & the property was stunning. Really stylish furnishing, modern & of a very high quality.
It was great to find milk and wine in the fridge & plenty of washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, towels etc..
This was our first trip away since last summer and we used it as a base to see family nearby. It did not disappoint. The only downside was that we had to come home!

We’ve just returned from a lovely 3 night stay at the property. We’ve had a lovely time. The house is was immaculate in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. I had taken a host of cleaning products with me (I’m a bit OCD about things like that!) but needn’t have bothered as everything (high end products) was provided. The quality of furnishings and fixtures were again to a very high standard and nothing looked old or tatty. The kitchen was highly equipped but we only used it to make tea/coffee and breakfast as we were out at lunchtimes and ordered take aways in the evenings (thanks for the list of popular and recommended take aways too!). The app that I’d downloaded before staying had all the info needed and there was a folder with a printed copy in the kitchen on arrival (along with some lovely welcome treats!). Easy access into Bath and not to far to Longleat and Wooky Hole where we made day trips too.
Thank you for an amazing stay and we will certainly return soon.

clean house and situated in a favourable location. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Weather was hot so the house was warm at night, nothing could be done about that.

Perfect blend of city break and enjoying Bath’s countryside
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. The warm welcome we received throughout the booking process was also reflected in our check in and overall stay. The property was ideally set out and equipped to please two teens and parents looking for a relaxing break. Add to that the perfect location - minutes from the attractions of Bath City Centre and also from the canal and river, allowing us to explore on foot and by bike - and you have all the ingredients of a fantastic staycation We definitely want to come back to Sydney Mews!
