Very well equipped. Lovely space. Very comfortable.
Ventnor is on the side of a steep hill. It took a couple soft days to get used to that! But how fit we feel now

Excellent rooms, and great views very much enjoyed. The house was well equipped, not lacking anything we needed. The large double bed was very much enjoyed rather than just being a standard one. Great access to Ventnor and all that the town has to offer.
Although there were a lot of stairs, they were good exercise! Perhaps I missed something, but it would have helped if it was more clear whether the key box was at the back or front of the house.

Waking up to the sea view
8.0
Loved waking up and being able to see the sea. House is split onto 3 floors, with the kitchen on the lowest level, living room on the middle floor, bedrooms and bathroom on the top. There is only one toilet and that's on the top floor.
Kitchen had nearly everything, fridge and freezer, washing machine and dishwasher (including some washing tablets), gas hob, oven with grill and a microwave.
First floor had the living room, with a large dining table with 4 chairs at one end, and a sitting area the other with 3 seater sofa couple of lounger chairs, TV (with freesat, NOWtv and dvd player).
Top floor had the two bedrooms and bathroom. The main master bedroom had a double bed, wardrobe and table and draw storage each side of the bed. Second bedroom had two single beds with a small bedside table in between. Bathroom had a toilet, sink and fully size bath with shower. The water pressure in the house is superb and showers were amazing!
The island has a very good bus service, and there is a half-hourly service that calls at the bus stop right by the house.
Found the house to be very clean and well maintained, and the host had left us bread, milk and muffins.
Ventnor is set on the side of a steep hill, so the house has its back door on the lower floor and front door on the middle floor. Walk in any direction away from the house and you will quickly find yourself going up or down an steep incline.

clean, welcoming, and all the little details like ice creams in the freezer, and welcome pack was very helpful
step stairs, but was to be expected due to the hill the property was on

Property was clean, very well maintained, well equipped even received a welcome pack of ice creams which the kids loved, bread, tea etc.
Nothing that I didn't like, but one thing to consider is that if you have mobility issues the house is over 3 floors of steep stairs.

Right next to the number 3 bus stops! So warm, homely and cosy .. lots of lovely little touches like art and welcoming treats. The teeny garden was a favourite spot for both us and our grandpa puss, who was also welcomed. Lovely books etc. I rediscovered The Wind in the Willows. 🐸🐁. It was so quiet and relaxing, with brilliant sea views.
The only thing wasn't provided was a shaver socket, so we bought an adapter and left it there.
We also forgot there were stairs.. because we live in a flat. We soon got used to them and enjoyed the effect on our thighs! 🤣

The view from double bedroom, lounge and kitchen. Proximity to town and beach. The shower. The central heating was great because the weather was freezing.
So many stairs to access each level. Microwave not working.

southgrove Is a wonderful property, location is fab. it is a very steep walk down to the sea front and of course you have to do the same walk back up, but that a was not a problem for me or my family. the house had everything you could possibly need as well as great views. the property is on 3 levels so I as fine for my family but maybe not ideal for older or slightly less able people.

Wonderful little house in a great location.

Beautifully looked after property. Everything you could possibly need. Very thoughtful welcome pack on arrival. There were so many things in the cottage to keep you occupied. Truly a home from home. Beautiful views.
Nothing everything good

Clean, light and airy house with little touches.
Everything we needed was supplied. Extra touch was small cakes, loaf of bread, milk in fridge, spices, sugar etc. Also lots of games and information of the island and a basket to help oneself to items that people may have forgotten to bring.
Two lots of very steep stairs to climb from kitchen to living room and bath/bedrooms.
A much longer walk then expected with lots of hills to the town and the esplanade. My elderly bones are still painful!

The house was light and airy, clean and tidy with a good shower. Nicely decorated good size kitchen well equipped even left us a cake and milk - a nice touch. Would definitely stay there again.

The walk down the hill to the pub.
The walk up the hill from the local pub was a bit of a challenge!

Everything we required in our holiday accommodation. Clean, comfortable and couldn’t fault it tbh.
8.0
The property was very well kept and kitted out for a short stay. Little touches like ice creams in the freezer were a bonus.
The only slight negative was the fact that the property is at the top of a hill above the town. We had to drive down to the seafront as our two year old would have struggled to make it back up the hill.
