Pro’s:
-great views from the deck,
-very spacious,
-plenty of comfy beds for everyone,
-renovated kitchen, partly renovated bathrooms
-direct access to the river via a 5 min walk down the long vacant block next door
-perfect for kids and the dog was in heaven.
-GPO/standard plug in the garage to slow charge if you have an EV
-Washing machine came in handy
Cons:
-no hot water the first night but owners had this fixed the next day. No discount offered sadly.
-Carpets very old and stained in the lounge.
-communication unpredictable. Janine was uncontactable for 6 days of our week long stay.
-No clear instructions given about firewood (go around the side of the house to bring in wood from the wood pile shed, chop your own kindling using the axe provided (rusty and blunt)) or gather from the bush next door (plenty of sticks and dead branches there) . Or get lucky - A very friendly neighbour brought us over a big box of chopped kindling. :-)

I know we didnt book the Hilton as commented on in recent remarks but the house was freezing, although the lounge was nice once the fire was lit.
smelled damp, ants everywhere, bulbs out in places. Only told to bring bedding and towels once booked.Ensuite bathroom needs competely replacing. Fly screens falling off/ out when trying to open
Can absolutely see how it would be great for big groups with kids but a bit too rough and ready for us.
The house really just needs a bit of TLC

After cleaning the floors and tables and flushing the toilet upon arival the house was liveable. Fortunately we brought a couple of heaters because the lovely wood fire upstairs dosnt heat the 2 lower floors which were freezing. Plenty of bedding except the master which only has a thin bead spread. ( we brought our own linen). Very comfortable matresses. Lovely modern main bathroom but ensuite is problematic, no power point, toilet and shower locations are awkward. Fortunately we travel with tools because the front door was badly sticking and the ceramic fuse for the hot water (which should have been upgraded ) blew a couple of times.
Kitchen is well appointed and large with plenty of everything although some thngs were dirty. Tea and coffee provided but could have done with suger, salt and cooking oil.
Plenty of spare kettles and toasters however some bedside lamps would be good.
Laundry well supplied but very dirty.
Plenty of firewood even though we brought our own.
Very convenient location but be prepared for early morning traffic noise.
Generous sized house with big rooms, lovely view, quiet neighbours.
Secure yard for our well behaved dog and appreciate being able to let her inside.(vaccumed everything upon departure)
Good older style partially renovated house with room for a big group. Would be great if aforementioned things rectified.

We had a fantastic weekend at Janine’s holiday house it is in a perfect spot and has great views from the upper deck. We found the house had everything we needed and plenty of space for everyone.
We will come again.

Where do you start...the entry to the property is a very bumpy driveway with deep holes... entry to the house, fly screen does not lock and front door very hard to open as it scrapes on the floor...all lino and carpets are really old and dirty....ensuite bathroom had a dirty old floor mat and the 2 rolls of toilet paper were on a window shelf and covered in dust and dead bugs....the only fan in the house we found was really dirty and covered in dust, my husband cleaned took half hour, then plugged it in to discover it didn't work....the vacuums were both so filthy and again, my husband cleaned them....the worst two things of concern are the fact that only 1 smoke alarm is present on one of the three levels...lights hanging from the walls and ceiling with wires present, one power point taped over and had kettle plugged into it, other electrical safety issues present....House infected with ants....i could go on...
Definitely not worth money charged for this property and would not recommend it...

Was a beautiful house
The hot water wasn’t working
Also there is a wasp nest near the gas bottle
Apart from that it was a lovely place

This is a holiday home, not flash and a bit worn around the edges - but suited us very well - lots of room and easy for the kids. Comfortable and relaxing. High balcony at the back to watch all sorts of birds frolicking in the trees.

Augusta was an amazing place and the location of the house, all its amenities and the fact it catered for such a large group of people really accommodated all our holiday needs. 3 families getting together and everything was available in the house and the fact it is only 4 houses down from the Bakery is a bonus! The kids daily made there way down the vacant block next door to access the river. Such a great stay. Thanks!!!

This property was great for an inter-generational family holiday. This property suited our family stay perfectly. It was not a luxurious property - thank goodness. There were no breakable precious items and therefore children were able to be (well behaved) children and adults could relax. Well equipped kitchen, lots of beds. Great place to relax and enjoy each other's company and the view. We hope to be able to come back for another stay.

Mostly great time. Texted the manager with a question on arrival but never got a reply, so management communications not great. Location was perfect for exploring the town with great views as well. Perfect for big family / friends with kids get away.

Emailed and called the host for 3 days prior to arrival to arrange access
to the house and never got a reply. This caused considerable distress to us as we had family turning up to a property with no access. By some miracle my sister was able to track the owner down on social media and arrange access.
Nice house, the family had lovely stay in the home and Augusta surrounds.
At the time of writing, the host has removed the property from stayz
