Your home from home in a very central location, Martin is always available for any enquiry and his place is fully equipped with everything you could need. We'll definitely be back!

We had a great stay. Wonderful bathroom with plenty of hot water. Well stocked, updated kitchen. Kitchen has been renovated since listing photos. Comfortable living room.
Beds are only double, rather than Queen, which was a bit small for the over six foot males. One bedroom doesn’t have exterior window. Apartment is on third floor, so lots of stairs and no lift. Great view though because of that. We had a great time.

Lovely stay for myself and 3 cousins. Great location if you don’t mind walking. 3rd floor stairs only so be prepared to lug your luggage up them :) Beds were comfortable and shower was nice.

Martin's place was perfect for me and my two adult children. My son and I flew over from the States to visit my daughter who is studying at St. Andrew's University. The flat was perfect - cute, clean, comfy, and was located within walking distance of everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again!

We had a lovely stay at this flat. It was a 2 minute walk to the tram stop and had loads of restaurants, cafes, and conveniences close by. There were a lot of stairs but the cozy rooms and great view are worth it!

Just returned home from a 10 day visit to my old home town and I couldn’t be happier with the accommodation. It was centrally located, with easy walking access to the new and old town it also had easy access to the trams (to and from the airport) and other public transport. Shopping, restaurants and bars where practically on the door step.
The flat itself was wonderful. It had warm, cozy, stylish decor with modern bathroom and kitchen features which made you feel right at home. The unobstructed view of Carlton Hill monuments from the living room window was amazing. The host kindly provides everything you need to cook if you are so inclined as well as provides milk, coffe and tea to start your stay. They also provide a washing machine and the ability to air dry your clothes via a traditional ceiling pulley clothes dryer. There were two bedrooms with double beds, but they also provided a comfortable cot that will allow three single travelers their own space. This worked really well for us to each have our own bed. Be aware there are no elevators in the building, but my Mum, who is nearly eighty, was able to climb the stairs with no issues.
The host was easy to communicate and work with and check in using the key safe was really easy..
All around an amazing stay and would highly recommend it to anyone. In fact, this will be my first choice the next time I return.

Very close to the centre of the city. We were able to walk to all of the activities of the Fringe festival. The flat was a welcome retreat after our busy days.and had everything that we needed. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed to cook. We had all of our breakfasts there but ate all of our dinners at Edinburgh's fabulous restaurants. I knew beforehand about the four fi

The property is gorgeous and very central. Unfortunately my stay was cut short as I fell and broke my arm but that had nothing to do with the property which we all really enjoyed and would love to visit again - great host too!

The apartment was very nice. Clean and updated. There is no elevator so if stairs are a problem, this is not the property for you. I loved the location. Walking distance to everything you need. Martin is a great host.

Walking distance to most things! Super homey flat with great views of Calton Hill. Very quiet. Only thing that wasn’t liked was walking up several flights of stairs to flat. No elevator.

My sons and I stayed in this very cozy, charming flat for several days. It is warm and inviting with beautiful views of Calton Hill. Fantastic neighborhood near many shops and restaurants. Many have commented on the stairs but I found them very manageable. My sons were intrigued by the clothes dryer which lowered from the ceiling. The kitchen was well equipped allowing us to cook with ease. The beds were very comfortable and the room darkening curtains were a bonus. I highly recommend this flat.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. It is located near excellent restaurants (Vittoria), shops, etc. the bathroom has been updated since photos so that was a nice surprise. We appreciated the laundry drying line inside - that worked great! We also enjoyed the selection of movies, we found some old favorites! Property owner was responsive and accommodating. Overall we very much enjoyed this space (4th floor walk up) and would recommend.

We loved this apartment! It was very clean and well appointed with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Even though it's not in the center of the most touristy part of Edinburgh, we could easily walk in 20 minutes to the castle and Royal Mile. We made Calton Hill our first stop which gave us a great introduction to the city - only a short (and steep) walk from the apartment. And the view of Calton Hill at night from the apartment was breathtaking. Walking up three flights of stairs was daunting with our suitcases but well worth it for the view - and the delightful accommodations. We wiould definitely book again!

First trip to Scotland
Went to Scotland with my husband and adult son. The flat was wonderful and Scotland is an amazing place to see. Only regret was that we didn’t get to see everything.

A lovely stay!
The property is easy to locate, convenient, and great for a group of three or four people. The apartment had everything we needed and the bed was comfortable. The stairs were a bit of a hike, but worth the effort. Martin was a wonderful host, informative and helpful. Should we be so fortunate to once again visit Edinburgh, we would definitely wish to stay here!

Great Location
This apartment had a lovely view of monument hill & was conveniently located so walking to Holyrood Palace & Edinburgh Castle was doable. The layout was nice & the kitchen well equipped for cooking meals. The owner was in contact with us from the beginning &readily available if we had any questions. It is really a great place, just be aware there are 3 full flights of stairs to haul luggage up and down, but we only had to do that on arrival & departure. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place.
