About this cabin rental

Beautiful newly remodeled cabin across from Recreational Springs, just off highway 85. No traveling through the development or speed bumps to worry about! Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Hills and Custer Peak from the upper sun deck. On the patio enjoy plenty of seating with patio heater to keep you warm on those chilly evenings. Sooth your aching muscles and relax in the large hot tub.
Plenty of room to spread out with 3 living spaces each with it's own fireplace and tv's. One of the living spaces even has 2 lofts for sleeping and 2 murphy beds that pull down from the wall. 2 bedrooms on the main level, one with a queen bed, the other a twin size bunkbed. 3 bedrooms upstairs with queen beds. Two of the rooms has a 3/4 wall, almost to the ceiling but it is open part way. Refer to photos. Master bedroom upstairs has 2 queen beds and includes a sundeck. Large open floor plan in the main living room and kitchen. There is a large handcrafted dining table to seat up to 12 people. Finished throughout with live edge trims, log and a rustic mining theme.
Take off on your ATV's or snowmobiles right from the cabin. Snowmobile trails take off from Recreational Springs. Head west just 4 miles to Cheyenne Crossing, the start of Spearfish Canyon which offers plenty of trails, hiking, beautiful waterfalls and scenery. Or, head East 15 minutes to Deadwood for plenty of Entertainment. Local cabs and lyft drivers are always available if you choose not to drive.

This property was exactly as described. 11 of us made a bucket list trip to Sturgis and couldn’t be more pleased with this property. It was better than the description from the sleeping accommodations (15 beds/matteress’) , multiple living rooms , parking under cover at night out of the weather for 11 bikes to being able to come in with 2 big enclosed trailers and having the ability to was the bikes was super. Can’t enough about this property or the ease in chatting with the host. Thanks again great trip made easy.

Group of 10 friends stayed here the week leading up to Sturgis Rally. Plenty of room for all! Was able to park our bikes under the carport. Short gravel driveway. Very quiet area with wildlife to enjoy. Host was very responsive to questions. Would definitely stay again!

It was perfect for us except cleanliness was lacking, my husband pulled out the pancake griddle and the grease holder was full of grease and it was in the cupboard. Cobwebs all along the ladder in the hall and above doorways. I would also suggest getting some new bedsheets they were pilling. Otherwise we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Our experience started out a bit bumpy, we showed up and the house hadn't been cleaned yet, just a mixup with the cleaning company (things happen, it's not a perfect world, right?). Fortunately the previous tenants left the place in good shape and the main issue was clean bedding. I contacted the host and she was mortified. She told me where to find clean bed linens and anything else we might need and she immediately got in touch with the cleaning company. We texted back and forth a few times throughout the evening with questions and she was very responsive. The next day, the cleaning company had someone out there who did a thorough cleaning while we were out for the day. At the end of the stay, she refunded us one night's stay for the inconvenience. I only mention all of this because I feel like it shows how the host will handle a difficult situation and she handled it well. Other than that, our stay was great! The cabin is very roomy, plenty of space to spread out if you have a large crowd. The kitchen is well stocked with all of the utensils and cookware you'll need if you opt to cook. We had a small group but I feel like it would easily sleep closer to 18-20 if you have couples with kids as there are queen size beds with lots of little nooks with twin mattresses. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.

My husband and I have attended the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally twice in the past with our Harley Davidson group. This year we decided to attend the rally as a family vacation without bikes. Our adult children had never been so we planned the trip and invited family to join us. We had a great time despite all the rain. The cabin was well equipped and had more than enough room for our family.

Plenty big for the six of us, 3 couples.. The ambiance and warmth of the fireplaces was wonderful with the cold snowy weather outside. Kitchen well-equipped and loved the large table for dining and playing games. Had puzzle going on upstairs table. And the best......relaxing in the hot tub. Would like to plan a summer trip with grandchildren.

First off I’ll start by saying that this cabin is undergoing renovations but is totally useable for guests. The owners come and stay here and make improvements while they are there. The cabin is comfortable and slept 14 of us easily. However there is only 2 bathrooms at this point but they are planning on adding a 3rd. The owners are great! We really enjoyed our stay there. Centrally located off hwy 14a to lots of trails for UTV and there was ample parking for 4-5 trucks/trailers. The pavilion was a great place to set up our outdoor kitchen and we enjoyed sitting out there in the evenings. Cell service was spotty at best and the WiFi didn’t really work which was just fine with me. I was on vacation so it was nice to unplug. We will certainly stay with the Nelsons again.

This house has a lot of character and is super cozy. The pictures make it look like it is out in the middle of nowhere by itself but it has houses next to it. However the neighborhood was great and we all had a blast. The location of it was good as well, close to trailers and to town.

This place was awesome. SO MUCH room!!! I stayed with a group of 6 people and there was plenty of room for all of us! Great living room areas, kitchen & dining space, hot tub & great outside space! Would be perfect for a big family or a big group of friends! Was beautiful to sit inside by the fireplace and watch the snow fall.

This was a wonderful place to stay. The property owners said it was lightly stocked and it was even more stocked than that. They had griddles, crock pots, and tons more. The property owner was very responsive and extremely kind. You could unload right on the driveway with your ATV/UTVs and take off right from there. There were enough beds in the house to bring about 8 more people. I would definitely stay here again if I had the chance.

This is a very nice house. There are three living rooms so kids can be in one area while adults in another. So many sleeping options, the back living room on the main floor has 4 loft beds and 2 Murphy beds. Two patios to enjoy the scenery. Equipped with a washer and dryer on the main floor and another set upstairs. This house is stocked with everything you could need.

My brother and his family came out from Oregon and we looked for a nice rustic cabin. This one fit the bill. It was very clean and comfortable. We had such a good time sitting around the big table and island bar just playing games and having family time. Great place and location for family’s catch up.
