About this cabin rental
Tipsy Timbers is a brand new custom built cabin with an amazingly unique cabin experience you won't find anywhere else. Located in the highly-popular Powder House Pass subdivision with all paved roads, and access to the local clubhouse where you'll enjoy shuffleboard, a pool table, and a heated pool open all year! Just outside of Lead/Deadwood, you're only minutes away from enjoying skiing at Terry Peak, or you can ride your ATV right from the property to the local ATV trail system that runs close to Recreational Springs. Trail #5 and the Mickelson trail runs adjacent to the neighborhood, so bring your favorite ATV or snowmobile and ride to your hearts desire! Being in the center of the Northern Black Hills recreational corridor, you won't ever have a problem finding new adventures to enjoy with your family and friends. Deadwood, where you can enjoy some local festivals or great restaurants, is only 15 minutes away from the property, and there's taxi service to/from the cabin. Spearfish Canyon, with it's rim-rock canyon walls, great hiking, prized fishing, and waterfalls is only 5-10 minutes away from the cabin. Wanting to take in the major attractions like Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Keystone and more, you're just a short 1 hour drive to all these great places! There are 3 bedrooms including a loft, making up the 4 bedrooms. There's 2 queen beds located in the loft with a private bathroom, the main floor bedroom has a queen bed, one of the lower level bedrooms includes a queen bed as well, and the final bedroom is located on the lower level with 2 built in bunk beds.

Great property and location. I grew up heer 50 plus years ago and this area was nothing but forest . The area has really been developed into a wonderful development , I would definitely stay here in the area again.

Great place to stay! We enjoyed our morning coffee on the deck, we went sxs riding everyday and cooked breakfast and supper at the home everyday. Great vacation and place to stay!!

We would stay here again. Great area, great property, a nice home base for our Black Hills trip. Only thing I wish was better was the showers - ran out of hot water every day after half a shower. Not conducive to a family of 4 staying there let alone a full house of 12. But for how comfortable everything else was, we’d stay here again.

The property was great and very close to Terry Peak where we were skiing. We had plenty of space and we all enjoyed the hot tub. The property was manager was quick to respond! The only two things were that we tended to run out of hot water for showers and the coffee pot took about 30 minutes to brew a pot 😁. The top rack of the dishwasher was broken! Thanks for letting us stay-it was great!

The location of the house is beautiful and part of what we liked was that we were able to go to the pools near us. But the cleaning is not done much, there you could see many of the dirty sheets, the floor was very dirty and both the windows and the doors were very dusty. What disappointed us the most was that we did not buy coffee and the coffee container was there but it was empty and when we got to the yacusi it had a lot of garbage in the background we rented for a week but this house was not the best in my opinion it needs to be given more maintenance and buy new towels those were all almost full of chlorine but overall thanks for stadia

This is a beautiful home—lots of natural light and great location. Unfortunately, there was a problem with mice at the home while we were there. I found mouse dirt after the first night we stayed, and contacted the property manager. They dropped off traps for us to set up. We ended up catching two mice. The second night a mouse ran across the floor on the main level the second night. They even chewed through a potholder! Yikes! Not a relaxing way to spend a vacation.
Finally, the manager did offer to move us, which we did end up taking.
Aside from the mice, this property is amazing. However, it was hard to relax not knowing when we'd see more mouse dirt and have to clean it up or a mouse itself. I hope they can get the issue fixed.

The house is beautiful and definitely made for a rental property. Unfortunately we had a mouse in the house which added stress and anxiety to what should have been a peaceful vacation. The owner is local but his only help was to put out a couple sticky traps even though we gave him a large window of time when we were not in the property to try to remove the rodent. He was very rude in conversation and did not offer any discount or partial refund even though we were unable to get a good night’s sleep due to rodent scratching in the air vent system. This property is in a highly developing area and will most likely have more pressure of mice trying to find new homes. Under closer inspection, there were mouse droppings and urine at the front door so probably the point of entry. Very disappointed with the experience and would suggest asking if the owner has taken steps to combat this rodent problem. He said exterminator help was not needed so I would be hesitant of taking small children that will be on the floors or anyone else that has a fear of mice running. In the end we had to remove the vent cover and physically remove the mouse ourselves. Not the best vacation memory. Renters beware. The treatment we received and the help offered was not of a host but a person who seemed to only have this open to guests to help pay his mortgage. Super disappointed!!

The house is part of a new development south of Lead. It was beautifully decorated. It had creative use of space. The second floor bedroom had huge windows open to three directions. Great for star gazing and watching the sun rise. The main floor bedroom had black out curtains. The kitchen was well stocked with every cooking utensil
I needed. We came to Lead to bike the Mickelson Trail. The property was very close to two trail heads. Loved out time at this property.

The location could not be better! You are a short drive to deadwood and lead, but minutes from the off-road vehicle trails. The neighborhood feel and the community house was an added bonus! The house was clean, well furnished, well stocked, and had everything we needed for a five day stay.
