It was OK, but wouldn't stay again

It was cheap and cheerful ok for a 2 night stay but not any longer

It was grubby and needed an upgrade. Bins out the back hadn't been emptied. Shower was poor and bathroom small. Barley one towel per person and they were too small. No tea, coffee or milk provided on arrival (good job we bought it on the way)

My mother in law's fall down the hallway step onto a hard tiled floor took the edge off our stay.

The cottage is along a very nice, but narrow, country road and only a couple of miles from the Slieve Russell Hotel. We were at a family wedding there and stayed in Wisteria Cottage as a party of 5 ( my wife, her 2 brothers and her mother.) The cottage is really at the backdoor of the owners' home and the keys to the property were left in the door. The cottage is very handy for anyone at a wedding in the Slieve Russell, but you still need to drive there.

There is a step from the bedrooms and bathroom down to the kitchen and living room which is very difficult to see. My elderly mother in law fell coming down it and hurt her back (we spent 8 hours in casualty with her the following day, fortunately nothing was broken). This would need to be addressed and drawn to the attention of future guests as it quite dangerous. Even though we only planned to stay one night we had to pay for the whole weekend, we were aware of this in advance but it did seem a bit excessive. There were teabags left for us but no coffee or milk, it would have been nice to have had these basics.

We had a lovely short stay, despite the rain; it was a great location for our needs. Hope to return!

We were there to visit family in nearby Ballinamore and Carrigallen, so it was a perfect launching point. It was well situated with everything we needed, even sugar and teabags.. Parking is easy and plentiful. My teens loved meeting the dogs and cat. We didn't get to use the outdoor space since it rained for most of our stay.

I might suggest a few more hooks to hang bath towels in the bathroom. There was only one on the back of the door for all four of us. Maybe in better weather we could have hung them outside.

Very enjoyable stay at this beautiful country cottage

Beautiful rural location with fab garden. A very friendly kitten, ducks and chickens were the highlight for the kids.

Lack of cupboard space and good cooking utensils.

cosy cottage for a country break

Wisteria is such a cute cottage for lovely getaway in the country. It’s perfect for a small group with a fab area out the back to relax. Everything you need is there and it’s super comfy. If you’re getting married nearby it’s the perfect place to get ready with plenty of photo options. If you’re going to a wedding also a great option to stay with friends. Catherine and Aidan are super hosts and there if you need anything. Highly recommend!

Lovely stay at Wisteria Cottage

Wisteria Cottage was comfortable, very clean and well equipped with everything you need for a lovely stay. The outside space was very picturesque with ducks and horses and a nice area to relax.

TV is for the purpose of watching dvds and no television channels are received. There are a wide selection of boardgames and dvds to keep you occupied but I did miss watching regular TV at times.

Towels needed

The location was great. It was warm and comfortable. Fresh farm eggs were left for us which was a lovely treat.

There were no towels. the fridge was dirty in particular the freezer section.

We enjoyed our stay here and would certainly recommend.

We were attending a wedding at the Sliabh Russell a short distance away. The house is cosy warm and very clean with some very interesting features. To step outside in tge morning to the outside covered in area was an oasis of peace and tranquility with the birdsong, the hens, beautiful country views and even a horse! Catherine the host was very helpful and friendly . We would recommend this property to others.

I booked this accommodation for 2 key workers they liked it there the host was really good with them Would return if in the area

Wi fi was slow but the host let them use there wifi As they needed a good wifi for the line of work they do having to do reports at the end of the day Host was really good about this helping the guys

It’s a really relaxing little hideaway the decking area at the back is extremely private.Great in the evenings with a glass of wine Looking at all the farm animals.Catherine is a super host we will definitely return.

The hosts are warm and friendly even their pets a dog and cat,Angelie and Joseph love them. Catherine accomodated us even at the short notice of our booking.She was kind to lend their cold water bottle as my hubby Bob hurt his knee after the challenging"Stairway to Heaven"walk yesterday😃 The cottage is very clean,cozy,warm and full of character.We love the tranquilty of the place.In the morning we can hear and watch the birds from the window feasting their food at the bird feed spectacle.We enjoyed our short family break in their holiday cottage and in County Cavan.The cottage is highly recommended to those who love peace and quiet,a perfect place to unwind.
