The location was very convenient for both the school reunion that I attended in Street, Somerset and my onward journey to Gloucestershire. The location is very conveniently on the A37. The room was very clean and comfortable. Although the room was small, as I expected, the en-suite was a good size. No cooked breakfast was available - I wasn't expecting one - but the breakfast bag was very good.
Because it's on a main road there was some traffic noise, but it wasn't really a problem.

Very comfortable bed - this is a traditional Inn as it were - not fancy, but does its job really well. Room was great, bed great, and bathroom fine - some places the bathroom has been so small you can't swing a cat. Overall quite well thought out. There is a strong food aspect to the place - and the evening food is good - we ate Veggie and it was sound.
Breakfast was delivered in a bag a the door. Was adequate, but would prefer to "go to" breakfast.

Really good room
Outside nears sorting out. The plot looks rather grim even in mid summer

Friendly staff, great food. Comfortable room with excellent shower.
Warm weather so needed the window open - traffic noise disturbed sleep.

The room was really nice and well furnished, it was really comfortable and warm. The toilet was spacious.
They also left a packet breakfast for us in front of the door!
If I have to find something negative, you can hear people walking outside the room because the floor creaks.

The room was beautifully decorated. A stand fan was provided which was excellent. The staff were amazing, very attentive and couldn’t help us enough.
After others had showered, there was no hot water for us in the morning ( and we were up at 8am).

The rooms were excellent. The Manager was extremely helpful and polite. I highly recommend a stay in this delightful small Inn, if in the area.

The property appears to be an old roadside pub that has undergone extensive interior renovation to a high standard. It has a large dining area that, whilst we did not eat there, seemed popular and will have to be sampled on the next visit. The establishment does not offer breakfast but the arrival of a small breakfast goody bag containing some good quality items primed us prior to our departure. The room was freshly decorated and equipped to a high standard. It was exceptionally clean. Plenty of on site parking.
The owners have obviously put their efforts and resources (correctly in my opinion) into interior renovations leaving the exterior, for the time being, looking a bit shabby.

Room exceeded our expectations, for the price and the stand alone bath.
Even with our window closed, the road noise is loud as right on a main country road. If you are a light sleeper like myself I would avoid. Food was okay for me. Not as great as the feedback but certainly not bad

Lovely old pub with nice decor and atmosphere.
Excellent food and very comfortable and stylish room with comfy bed, lovely big fluffy towels and warm heating on a cold night.
Very nice breakfast left at my door, croissant, muffin, fruit and juice.
Very minor gripe was WiFi was spotty, and after a long days travelling, wanted some down time and the TV signal was also spotty, but as I said, minor issues.

We left very early. A continental breakfast was kindly packed for us
Cosy fire.
Staff were very attentive and very pleasant.
Rooms were cosy and warm.
Food was good and presented very well.
The main road was close so traffic at night.
Would have liked the option on the menu for more meat and fish dishes with alternative potatoes to "chips" and the option of side vegetables.
Some of the past menus at the Mendip have had these options.
