Breakfast was very good, the right amount of choices for everyone
Our room was spacious and comfortable
The staff were very helpful throughout the day
Some of the cheeses weren't available on the cheeseboard
The view from the room was a bit shabby, but that's not what we booked it for

The hotel was clean and comfortable except for the bed which was on the hard side. The facilities are good, tea and coffee in the rooms and they were happy to provide extra milk when we asked. Location was perfect for exploring the surrounding area.
We had an disabled access room and one thing I don't understand is why the sink was so tiny. The bathroom was huge but the sink was so small it was hard for my husband to shave. Surely disabled guest would benefit from a bigger sink.
Cheap mattress and pillows made it an uncomfortable night's sleep.
Car park was great if you came back in the evening but if you went out and hoped to park again you couldn't as the car park is also for visitors to Wookey Hole.
Overall this is a lovely start but it's noisy. Definitely a family hotel but as a couple we found the noise at breakfast difficult particularly as my husband is hard of hearing he couldn't hear me at all over the background din.

The location and food quality
The bed was exceptionally uncomfortable, the hotel needs a refurbishment, it looks very nice from the outside but inside is a different story. We wanted to stay here after a visit to Wookey Hole last year and it looked picturesque but. Inside disappointing, the restaurant is very much like a transport cafe!

Loved the hotel
Room was spacious and clean
Staff were helpful and friendly
Good value
Would def stay again
The breakfast the mushrooms were disgusting and didn’t taste of mushrooms , the sausages were awful , the Bacon fatty . The tomato and eggs were fine but tasteless

The location is fantastic if you're visiting Wookey Hole; and nearby towns like Wells, Glastonbury, and even Cheddar Gorge are all very close by too. The room was spacious, and they'd provided a cot because they saw we had a baby with us. A small-portion breakfast was the perfect size, especially as you get your pick of the continental option too (so topped up with a couple of pain au chocolat). The biggest plus was the staff. They were phenomenal, helped with all queries from booking food, and paying for the Wookey Hole attraction (10% discount for hotel guests) - they deserve the praise.
No real complaints to be honest. We had an adjoining room which may have meant we had to suffer the noisy neighbours more, but that's nothing to do with the hotel. In fact - they even asked the noisy guests to be quiet (the area was clearly marked as "family" and they did go quiet afterwards) - thank you Walter (on reception).

Excellent location for walking in the Wookey Hole area. Staff were very helpful. Large car park meant there was no stress about finding a parking space. Excellent value for families.
This is very much a value-for-money family type hotel so not really what I was looking for. Although the restaurant staff were very friendly, there was a very limited selection of food for the evening meal having run out of a number of dishes - including salad.

Clean facilities, friendly staff., quiet.
Nothing. All good.
3.9
The location of the hotel, thoroughly enjoyed the trip around the caves and the theme park.
Breakfast value for money was a little poor.
3.9
The staff were friendly, particularly the lady on Reception.
Our Superior family was very big and 3 full sized beds for the kids
The hotel look tired and dated.
We also had to eat breakfast and dinner in the circus restaurant as the hotel bar had no gas. This room was huge and they just stuck a few old table and chairs in the middle of it. It was cold and had no atmosphere.
At breakfast, they seemed to run out of everything and we were not asked which items we would like/not like for the English Breakfast
3.9
Staff were helpful and pleasant, room and facilities were clean.
The hotels feels like a student dormatory or youth hostel rather than a hotel, not unpleasantly so, just a really heavy Christian Youth Field Trip vibe to the decor and layout. Lost points for no Chewbacca references.
3.9
the room was big clean and airy the food was excellent and very good value you must try the cavern burger
nothing really

The room was great and the location of the hotel was perfect for our visit.
Shower had no hot water, but was fixed very quickly. Breakfast was sub-par.

good location, friendly staff good food. the point below is the only negative, but it is significant.
the twin beds are very narrow and I almost fell out twice on the first night. this is a shame as everything else about the hotel is top notch. extractor fan in the bathroom wasn’t working.
3.9
A nice, spacious twin bed room. There was ample very hot water. The breakfast was very good, and good value.
The shaving light didn't work, which didn't get fixed. The bed was too hard, and, for February, there was inadequate bedding, just a thin duvet. We ended up with bath towels on top of the duvet. The radiator was next to one bed, with little benefit for the other bed, as a result of all which, we were either too hot or too cold, and had 2 nights of very poor sleep. The dinners were mediocre, mine was half cold, so I sent it back, but it was returned barely any warmer. The veggie stir fry was black, drenched in soy sauce. Could have done better.

Great experience, lovely good. Fantastic staff

Staff were fabulous, always friendly and helpful.
Food was good and they catered well for allergens.
Great location.
Love the quirky look.
Could do with a little modernisation internally.

The room that Mum and I stayed in was nice and big, we liked the ensuite, again that was a nice big bathroom. There were plenty of clean towels and you could have clean towels.
I was disgusted that the single bed that I had to sleep on, the spring was broken. Also both beds, my Mum's king size and my bed were both badly made up. You'd go to sleep and when you woke up the bottom sheet had half slid off the bed, so we both found that we'd slept on a bare mattress that with no fitted sheet for protection.

The location is beautiful.
The staff on our first night were very helpful.
No housekeeping. We had to empty our own bins and ask for bin liners.
The hot tap on the bath did not work. This is difficult when trying to bathe children. We had to fill the bath with the shower.
For our second night, the kitchen was understaffed, and they didn't mention this when we ordered our evening meal. After complaining twice, we finally got our poorly cooked food over an hour after ordering. By this time, our youngest child was falling asleep whilst eating.
3.9
The room is quite spacious. It has a restaurant and locals eat here. Good food and beer.
Facilities probably need some updating. The room is large and clean, but not quite comfortable.
3.9
Rooms ok for money, basic but clean and spacious. Excellent breakfast choice.
A little bare looking in the decor and beds a little too firm.
3.9
lovely hotel and staff would recommend as a base for cheddar gorge woojey hole and wells. plenty of parking big size rooms for families
3.9
The room had coffee and tea available.
We arrived, and they made sure we were booked in for a meal.
Not having any towels in the room. Having to go to reception twice to ask for them. Then, I took them to the room myself.

Friendly and very nice staff specialy at the bar. Great food, quiet and good location.
Personally, the bed mattresses are not very comfortable for us.
3.9
Excellent location. The staff were brilliant, polite and efficient.
Bathroom washable little tired but nothing to complain about.
3.9
The staff were amazing - really lovely and helpful
The caves and attractions were good
The food in the hotel was really nice but they didn't serve lunch and you had to go to the restaurant at the attractions where the food wasn't so good
The beds were so uncomfortable - our bed was rock hard and our sons was overly bouncy & soft. We were booked for 3 nights leaving Sunday morning but chose to leave on the Saturday evening.
The shower head needs replacing... The water was spraying everywhere except on us!
3.9
Good location and friendly staff. Breakfast was good and dinners are reasonably priced.
Horrendously uncomfortable beds. We had the fourth bed which is a futon so didn’t expect it to be great but it was badly dipped in the middle and dug in worse than the beds which is really saying something. Our sides all feel bruised and I had terrible nights sleep and spent days in pain during and after the stay as a result of the beds being so very uncomfortable.
The curtain slid right off the rail the first morning, clearly had happened before as there was sellotape on the rail. I reported it but despite being told it would get fixed that morning, it never did so, we had little privacy on ground floor with lodges right outside our window. Cleaner must have seen it every morning too but nothing was done.
3.9
Very good reasonably priced food
Choice of draught lager could be better
3.9
Staff are all wonderful.Nice big room at the front.Clean & fresh.Great views.Nice & quiet.
Food seems a bit dear, only two vegan options & the Tofu noodles came out raw the first time but very good the second time, they gave me them free. But still nowhere near worth the money ( had I paid)for the amount you get as only cheap veg & noodles at the end of the day, hardly any tofu sadly.Chips are lovely though.
3.9
Close proximity to Wells
Room could have been cleaner, herd of elephants in the room above kept us awake

Friendly staff and good food, value for money
Shower curtains…update to shower screen

Location very good. Breakfast ok
No complaints

Breakfast was amazing
Bed a little uncomfy
3.9
The staff were very welcoming both on reception and in the restaurant.
Dinner was passable, the burger was delicious but the twisted bolognaise, whilst tasty, had been under a heat lamp to keep it warm.
Breakfast was reasonable value for money and a good selection offered.
Beautiful setting :-)
Unfortunately the beds were really uncomfortable - sprung mattresses with ridges so not able to get a good nights sleep. The shower was over the bath and if you are unsteady on your feet it wasn't easy to feel safe as the flat area was very small with curved sides.
3.9
This was an unexpected joy. We loved the hotel, it's breakfast, and the little village and pub. We spent eight days in England and this was my adult kids' favorite place.
3.9
The reception staff were brilliant
Need a better choice of snacks for the evening
