Like staying with friends

My family of 8 took the executive suite, the connecting executive room and the duplex family room. The rooms were beautiful and well equipped with water dispenser and cutlery. The bath tubs in the executive room and suite were deep and were a pleasure to use. Location wise, it was a 3 minute walk to the famous nasi ganja. Very good tau fu fa can be had from the next street and Ipoh's famous salt baked chicken is just 500m away. But the best part was the warm and friendly service from Debbie, the proprietess. She helped us deal with an unexpected emergency and did everything she could to help us. She also had lots of ideas and suggestions on where to go for meals and even helped to make some reservations. We feel like we made a friend! Highly recommended.

One of the bed side lights blew and was not fixed. Bath salts were not replenished. But then again, bath salts was an unexpected bonus to begin with!

Best Hotel in town

Spacious Room and Bath, comfy bed and well situated next to several Bars and Restaurants. The whole Hotel is lovely decorated with a lot of Attention and the service is really caring

There is Just a sliding door between bed and bathroom which you can close really. You can't see something but smell the chlorined water

What a great hotel; location (near old part of Ipoh) and interiour. It’s a boutique hotel with just 7 rooms; which makes it very intimate and personal. Also, both owners are really nice and friendly.

So good I’d stay again!

Love the decor! The entire place was dotted with interesting art pieces to feast our eyes on. Location is very close to the popular food street. Beds were very comfortable. Lady boss and staff were kind and welcoming!

Better Than the Pictures

Best location. High quality furnishings, bed linen and towels. Well designed space with delightfully thoughtful details and beautiful art pieces adorning the walls in the room. Breakfast was simple but well executed. Debbie is a wonderful hostess that makes the stay a memorable one.

It was raining when we arrived, we got wet getting from the car to hotel entrance.

Excellent location, clean comfortable rooms and value for money.

Made the decision to book Bedrock Hotel for our recent 4D3N stay on account of the excellent online reviews, and I must say that we were not disappointed. Bedrock may be a small hotel, but what it lacks in amenities of big hotels (eg. Pool, gym), is more than made up for by its excellent location, clean and comfortable rooms and friendly staff. The hotel is located within walking distance from both the new and old towns of Ipoh, and all the fantastic food on offer. Skip the hotel breakfast and try the local fare which are all located within a short hop from the hotel. For dinner, the charcoal fired claypot Lou Shu Fen at Restoran Chee Wah, just opposite the hotel for dinner comes highly recommended. We booked ourselves into the Bedrock Suite and the room was beyond our expectations! Comfortable sofas in the living room, king sized bed, walk-in wardrobe and vanity counter and spacious toilet with bathtub and separate his and hers sinks. Loved the fact that the huge TV set could be swivelled 360 so that we could watch TV in bed or seated in the living room. There was also a hot and cold water dispenser in the room that provided hot and cold water on demand. A huge shout out goes to Debbie, our hostess, who was ever eager to engage in banter with us and make recommendations on where to go for food and sightseeing activities. And a huge thanks also to her team of hotel staff who keep the place spotlessly clean and welcoming. Bedrock Hotel gets my two thumbs up and will be my top choice for future Ipoh trips.

Nice hotel. Very conveniently located. Near lots of eateries and shops. Every room is fitted with cosway hot & cold water dispenser which is very unusual. The owner wife Derby is very kind, helpful and hospitable. Our first time to Ipoh and with no itinerary, with her help, she introduced us to nice places of interest and good restaurants. Our friend dropped his hotel room key (in a form of a card) at a restaurant nearby, and upon receiving a call from the restaurant, the hotel owner was so kind that he drove to the restaurant to pick up the room key on our behalf. We really appreciate their kind gesture. Staying at this hotel made us feel so cozy, comfortable & homely.

Nice stay with family

When i reached the hotel, the hotel staff is super responsible and helpful to explain all the facilities usage. The room with super big bed which can fit three normal size adults. The toilet is super clean and i like the design so much. Besides, the room also provide the coffee maker that satisfy me as well. Overall is a good stay for my family~

Just the best place to tour the area - yes it’s slightly out of town, but don’t let that put you off

The hotel is perfect and the staff were just amazing. Great breakfast and a lovely bar/snug area to finish the day. Plenty of local restaurants for local food plus a very handy Korean and Japanese restaurants if you fancy a change

Excellent stay that my family and me enjoy very much staying here. The staff were all very friendly.

The room was very clean and nice. All the staff were very friendly and very welling to provide assistance. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my friend. It will he my first choice of hotel if I visit ipoh again.

The breakfast can be better. Option for local cuisine will not be available if you go after 0900H although you will still have the standard American breakfast.

Very good

The staff were very helpful, they patiently show us all the great restaurants, sights, and interesting places on the map, with a personal approach. They made our stay comfortable and relaxing. Love the artworks around the Hotel.
