About this house rental
Come and vacation in your own beachside Hawaiian beach home! It is AFFORDABLE AND COVID-19 CLEANED are the keywords for this tropical beach house. Situated on a half-acre, our "feel like home", yet cost-effective 3 BR, 2-1/2 bath beach home with granite counter tops, flat screen TVs and DVD players in each bedroom and living room. Sparkling floor tile throughout the house, glass brick shower, intimate indoor jacuzzi in the master bathroom, full size appliances, beautiful teak wood furnishings and a custom A/C system in each bedroom and living/dinning/kitchen. Each room has it's own A/C control in case you want air conditioning in your room and another person in a different bedroom does not.
Watch the whales, in season (November-April), while you dine either inside the house or on the patio. Enjoy our beautiful Hawaiian sunsets over the water and mountain from your front window and/or covered patio with patio table and chairs and chaise lounges, enough for everyone. Great communication and place. Super clean, place met all expectations. Harry and Linda were super helpful and helped us navigate the complexities of the Maui wildfires when we were there (this place was not affected by the fires). We will be back!

We visited Maui with our son, a good friend of his, and his parents in celebration of their graduation. There were 6 of us in total, and there was more than enough space for all of us. We've stayed a many VRBO's, and the communication and information we received from Harry & Linda all the way from the time we booked to the time we arrived was by-far the best. They had everything we needed (and then some). The location is wonderful. It is literally a 1-to-2-minute walk across the road to the beach, and because it is in a quiet area, we often had the beach to ourselves. There's a farmer's market and convenient store that's a short 5-minute walk away and grocery stores/restaurants/etc. less than a 10-minute drive away. I'd highly recommend staying at their home. We hated to leave.

We loved the location & the home is perfect in every way. Being so close to the beach with the kayaks & paddle boards to use was so much fun!! Also there were beach chairs & umbrellas & snorkel gear & coolers to use!! I wish we could have stayed a lot longer!!! Harry was very friendly & such a great host. And we really appreciated the welcome basket that Linda greeted us with. Thank you for having all the amenities available!! Mahalo

Good location to see west side of Maui. Could come and go easily to get to many beaches, hikes, and food.
New carport has a good view out to the ocean and tip of Lanai in the distance to the west. I bet it would be great during whale season
Ocean water out front was a little churned up from the wind so could not snorkel in near shore area. Could see reefs ~100 yards out but did not make it. would love to come back and try again.
3 other units on same property had tenants in them and no conflict coming or going. Plenty of space and very quite.

We had a wonderful vacation staying at Harry and Linda’s beautiful family home in Kihei. The house was extremely clean and comfortable for our 6 person family, great for both grandparents and teens. It’s across the street from a great beach, centrally located for all island excursions and close to the best food on Maui. Harry and Linda were generous and kind hosts that made us feel so welcomed with the true Aloha spirit. We will definitely be back!

The property and house were as advertised, both beautiful and comfortable. The winds on sugar-beach were stronger than we anticipated but there is no predictability to the weather. Our hosts were friendly and accommodating. We would recommend this rental to others. A rental car would be required here but the close proximity to the beach makes it well worth it.

Wonderful hosts, met us on property and gave us a tour and instructions! Something for everyone with a short walk across the street to beach. We enjoyed coffee on the new observation deck on carport, really nice view of the ocean! We grilled one evening and ate on the patio! Our adult children and spouses agreed this was a 10 outa 10 holiday in Maui! Stay here you will love it!

We loved staying in this family home - comfortable, well-stocked, and clearly maintained with love and care. Harry and Linda were outstanding hosts, providing responsive and above-and-beyond care throughout our stay. Linda's mango bread was the icing on the cake! Great stock of yard games, beach toys, and other supplies for enjoying the local beach - just cross the street. We especially loved the mango tree in the yard - yum!

We loved the central location of the house. An easy drive anywhere on the island. They had everything one could want during a stay. The beds were comfy, A/C was plentiful. We spent many evenings on the patio, using the lawn games provided. The owners are friendly and attentive, and left a beautiful welcome basket. One thing to know - there are additional houses/units on the property that you will be sharing amenities with (laundry, beach chairs, toys, etc), if occupied. It didn't negatively impact our stay in any way, but we were unaware until we arrived. If we return to Maui with our family in the future, this will be the first place we will check for availability. Mahalo for a wonderful stay that we will cherish forever.

Wonderful stay in a perfect place!
The house was terrific and even better than expected! It had everything we needed for our vacation. The beds were comfortable. It was a great option that we could have twin beds in the third room. The grandkids loved the use of the paddle boards and the lawn games were fun during our barbecue. Kihei is a central location for all you would want to do and this house was perfect for our family!

A fabulous one week stay with 6 people. The house is roomy, comfortable, and very relaxing. Hosts were lovely, amenities far exceeded our expectations, and location is great. Yes, it’s on a noisy street but the house is set far back and well insulated from noise and hey, if you’re on the beachfront you’re next to a busy street – that’s Maui! The location was actually very central for reaching any other place on the island, but not in a busy business or tourist zone.

Wonderful outdoor area - didn't want to leave
Great location away from busier Kihei. Quiet beach just across the street - perfect for long walks on the beach. Kind and attentive hosts who left us holiday goodies and a flower arrangement. We all loved sitting around the patio table for meals and reading. Well stocked kitchen which made cooking easy. The whole house is well stocked and comfortable.
Appreciated the late checkout without asking. Super hosts and super house. Will return some day.

Where to begin…
First, thank you Linda and Harry for sharing your incredible home. The description and pictures do not do this home justice. Sitting on the lanai in the evening so relaxing. The ocean right across the street was perfect for hanging out in. No big waves but lots of fun swells to float on. The swim noodles were perfect for this. Played bocce ball on the front lawn, laughed at ourselves throwing lawn darts (Nerf darts, and boy can they bounce). The kitchen, the baths, the laundry room, everything, so well stocked. This is one vacation we were not ready to come home from. Hope to come back someday.

Best Stay Ever
This is a dream stay, Linda and Harry are superb hosts. The cottage is clean, comfortable and right outside is the ocean. It is in a great location, within walking distance of a local bakery and store. By far the view is what sets this place apart.

Family stay
This was an excellent place for a family to stay and explore Maui. We were close to restaurants and grocery stores. There was plenty of room for 6 adults to cook, relax and have privacy. I had a wonderful time and would return to this location in a heart beat!

Far Better then the photos
Harry and Linda were wonderful! Their home has everything you need in your home away from home. Very comfortably fits 6 adults. A few things they don’t mention in the listing is that the one king size bed can actually be separated into twins which is super convenient. They also have a futon couch bed and futon chairs for small kids. The front patio and yard is wonderful for morning and evening family time. The beach is right there! We enjoyed this home and would rent again if we go back to Maui.

A home in Paradise
We had such a great time in Maui. Made better by the house we rented. This house came with everything from beach towels, kitchen utensils to bandaids and DVDs/ cable. The house is across the street from the beach and has beautiful sunsets. It’s walking distance to a delicious shave ice and ABC store. The drive into Kihei, Wailea or Lahaina was easy from this location. The owners were helpful and thoughtful ! We will definitely be staying her again when we come back to Maui.

Paradise
Was just 2 of us so an over abundance of space. Just cross S Kihei Road (busy) to get to endless beach walks, activities, peace. Great front porch area and yard for play for kids and adults alike. Wonderful hosts. Great communicators. Had all the beach supplies you need (boogie boards, umbrellas, chairs, etc) I would love to come stay again with my kids. Thank you!

My husband and I stayed here with our adult children on a family vacation. A wonderful place to stay in Maui. The owners thought of everything when it comes to what their guests might need. The house is lovely, beautifully decorated, but still homey. It was just what we were looking for. Great spaces to relax indoors and out. The beach is just steps across the road with an ocean view and you can see the ocean view from the patio. The owners even showed us how to open a coconut that dropped from a tree in the yard so we had fresh coconut on our fruit salad. Amazing! The owners, Linda & Harry are friendly, generous hosts that made us feel very welcome.

Linda and Harry are absolutely amazing people!! Being from Maui, I go home quite frequently and stayed at many different properties. This was by far my favorite and we will be back. There is only one other home on the island I can say this about and it’s located in Hana. My family and I stayed for 5 nights and all I can say is;- can’t beat the view, we hung out on the lanai the whole time we were at the property. - A beautiful beach is only a few yards away, 2-3 min walk- no waves, perfect for stand up paddle and the keiki’s - I absolutely love the decor!! So welcoming!! Not modern which is perfect for a Hawaiian getaway- Convenient to Shopping and traveling outside of the Kihei area- perfect for a family of 6-8 depending on the age groups. - we will be booking our next trip around their availability. Much Mahalo Harry and Linda for allowing us to stay in your home!! It was such a pleasure meeting you both!!

The house is amazing and we loved our stay! The home was spotless and all the amenities are well thought out. I could tell Linda and Harry put great thought and consideration into the needs of their guests and anticipated everything a guest might need while on the island. They had everything from bug spray to goggle defogger available for our use. They also went out of their way to provide plates, dishes, and toys for our younger children. It is easy to see they take great pride in the state of their house and the comfort of their guests.
In addition to their meticulous care of the house and the grounds, Linda and Harry are easy to communicate with, highly responsive, flexible, and focused on creating a great experience for their guests. As just one example, Harry and Linda took time out of their day to show our kids how to husk a coconut that had fallen from one of the trees on the property. That was a major highlight for our 4 and 8 year olds and was a clear indicator that Harry and Linda care about their guests.
The location is also fantastic and the we loved the beach. There was hardly anyone there during the work week so we had room to spread out, snorkel, and try to locate the various sea turtles that shortly off shore.
We loved our stay and are looking forward to booking with them again!

My only negative is that the house is located on a pretty busy road. You cannot hear the traffic when you are in the house, and the yard has a low fence around the front with a gate to keep young ones from going straight to the road. They had beach chairs, some snorkel gear, some boogie boards, etc in a shed out back for guests to use. The house is walking distance to a food truck, liquor store and shaved ice stand. There is some structure in the water at the beach making it a decent place to fish and snorkel. We just really enjoyed the house and our host. We heartily recommend staying here.

Plenty of beach stuff - chairs, umbrellas, mats, etc. The large grassed yard between the house & the street helped to easily get over the sound of the street traffic during the day. We actually enjoyed watching the cars go by while we were swinging in the lawn swing. Sunset was great to watch as well as the stars.
