Comfortable cottage in the hills above the North Shore St Croix. Beautiful views having coffee each morning. Location is off the beaten path and very peaceful. If not familiar with the island the owner will meet you and lead you up. You will need a vehicle with a bit of ground clearance but doesn't have to be a Jeep. The king size bed was extremely comfortable.
The owner's dogs are very friendly and Ginger showed up for breakfast one morning. Sweet girl that Ginger.

We had a wonderful stay here! The view is gorgeous, the house is a cozy little mountain bungalow. Just a little heads up that the water pressure in the shower wasn’t great, and I would definitely recommend renting an SUV of some sort, as the lane to the house is dirt/gravel and there are pot holes and parts that are a bit washed away that a car would have a tough time (we rented a car at first and traded it in for a Jeep on day 2). Other than those couple of minor things, we loved it! Michael and his son were both very nice and helpful, and Michael was available and quick to answer with any questions we had. It’s just a short drive to Cane Bay and the price was fantastic! Id definitely recommend this place for anyone visiting St. Croix.

Our stay was exceptional! The cottage was just as described. It was a perfect spot for us. The view was gorgeous! We loved that you were able to wake up and have an amazing view from your bed! Hosts are super friendly and helpful! We will definitely stay here again!

My wife and I really enjoyed staying here! You do have to drive a short way up Scenic West - definitely doable in a car, but a Jeep is more fun. The views from this place are amazing! You can see the other islands to the north with no issues. At night you can watch the cruise ships slowly move to their next port. The breezes are amazing! I can't imagine needing the AC, plus you can hear the waves crashing at night. I stayed an extra week and worked remote. Internet was great the entire time. Mike was great if I had any requests and was very responsive. Will definitely stay here again on future visits!

Overall, this is a good property if you want to be closer to the nature on St Croix. The cottage is nestled in the hillside overlooking Cane Bay. It is a good sized cottage for two people. The view is gorgeous, it is private, the bed is comfortable, the sofa is comfortable. The kitchen and bath are bare minimum and the deck needs to be replaced. There is currently no table on the deck but there are deck chairs and a sunshade. The cottage is tidy but needs a good deep cleaning. The host is very responsive. You may want to rent a high clearance vehicle since the roads to the cottage are rural and rutted. We had a jeep and enjoyed the adventure. Overall this cottage was in a central location but rural. It had everything we needed but we wished there was better kitchen equipment and was cleaned more thoroughly.

My wife and I had a wonderful visit to St. Croix and enjoyed our stay at this secluded, mountain top cottage. Michael was an excellent host with prompt responses, knowledge of the island, and everything we would want from a host. The cottage is perfect for a couple with all the basics provided, and the view can't be beat. Location wise, you are about 5-10 minutes from Cane Bay and some local bars, and 20-30 minutes to anywhere else on the island. We would absolutely stay here again.

Great trip
Owner met us at a nearby bar and we followed her in our rental car up to the house to check in. It’s like a studio apartment, great for two adults. A/C unit over the sleeping area, plenty of ceiling fans. The bathroom was nothing fancy, but functional which is all we needed. It’s the kind where the top is open to the entire place so you must be comfortable with each other’s bodily functions lol. Owners were responsive and helpful. Would recommend having an all-wheel drive or 4 wheel drive vehicle as half the way up is dirt road. We did perfectly fine in a Toyota RAV4. We liked the secluded location and the view. We would stay there again if we go back someday!

Everything You Need
My husband and I just returned from a one week stay at this property. It was amazing. The location is only 5 minutes from Cane Bay yet so private. The views are incredible. Everything you need is provided just add groceries. The check in was easy and Mike was there to meet us at the airport to make finding the place a breeze. Can’t wait to return.

Relaxing vacation
The reviews are all accurate. Michael is extremely kind and flexible. You have everything you need for a relaxing vacation and the location is wonderful. To ensure a great time, be sure to rent a JEEP. We were hesitant but it will make your trip much better as the roads to many areas are loaded with potholes. It is a very pretty island and then you will be able to fully take advantage of all that is available.

Awesome Host Beautiful location
This place is perfect for a private getaway. The views are fantastic and the hosts are amazing. We are always leery of having the host on the same property (we had an unpleasant experience) but Michael is fantastic. He is there to help if needed (my husband lost his wallet) and offers great suggestions of places to go. We plan on going back and staying here again. I would recommend a Jeep as the roads are "adventurous."

Beautiful Views in this Hilltop Hideaway!
We have been to St. Croix many times and this property was by far our favorite! We were met at the airport, rented our vehicle and followed them so we would not get lost. The cottage was cute, clean and provided all the basics for a carefree vacation. The view was amazing and the breezes allowed us to enjoy the deck daily. Groceries, restaurants and beaches were all nearby. We especially loved our trip to Buck Island for the day with Captain Michael, our host. We rented a jeep as the roads are quite hilly and this cottage is tucked away on a very private road in the hills with a rough terrain. The view is so worth it. Michael and Barbara were great hosts, checking in and making sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed every minute of it and are making plans to return soon. We can’t wait!!

It was a wonderful experience!!
Michael was off the island when we came but his friends Ray and Katrina took great care of us! They text us every couple of days to make sure everything was good and to see if we needed anything. If we asked for anything (cooler, extra towels, etc) they promptly brought it to our door. They gave great recommendation for things to do on the island such as visiting the beer drinking pigs! That was a lot of fun! They invited us out to dinner with them and we had a great time! My friends rented a villa and they didn't have anyone to talk to if they needed anything and no one checked in on them. We don't envy them a bit! We were treated like family and I would definitely come back here again!! Plus here on top of the mountain you have a great view of lights from St Thomas and St John from the balcony at night :)

I am floored at how amazing our stay with Michael was. He went above and beyond every time an opportunity presented itself. When we arrived in St. Croix he met us at the airport; even when we had a rental car, just to show us where the property was located. The property boast an absolutely phenomenal breathtaking view overlooking Cane Bay and the North Shore!
This home is super comfy and remote, so you are really able to vibe out with your spouse or who ever you’re traveling with. His care for those that are booking with him just took the rating wayyyy above 5 stars. I will not stay anywhere else when I come back to St. Croix, because I know with Michael’s cottage, I have a breathtaking view, a super clean and comfy home, and someone who wants to truly make sure we enjoy our stay.
After enjoying a wonderful vacation and stay with Michael our trip came to a very unexpected and awful turn, because the infamous SPIRIT AIRLINES CANCELLED OUR FLIGHT! After canceling our flight and offering no options or accommodations for shelter or shuttle; we found ourselves stranded, homeless, exhausted and furious.
At the most difficult point of our trip, here comes Michael to save the day! I sent him a text and explained the situation and he interrupts his family’s dinner and came BACK to the airport to pick us up! Not only did he come back to get us, he stopped to grab us some food, and brought us back to his property so that we would have somewhere safe and comfortable to stay for the night.
Michael, you have no idea how much we appreciate you for everything you did for us!! Best wishes my friend!! I wish this thing allowed me to leave 105 stars, because I would!

Mountain top getaway
We had a very nice time on Belvedere Hill. Michael offered to meet us at the airport which was crucial to finding it. The views are great and it's very peaceful up there. It is challenging to find and some of the roads are gravel and not well marked. The indoor and outdoor seating areas are nicely done, though the lighting could be improved with some lamps as the overhead lights are overly bright. Very nice choice here.

Recently got back from our wonderful trip to St. Croix. Michael was an excellent host and great person all the way around. He met us at the airport and guided us back to his property. Was a wonderful experience all the way around as we will definitely come back. The property was definitely large enough for us and had everything we could have needed. The views are spectacular. Wonderful place to stay in St Croix
Michael and Barbara’s apartment is a very cool place to stay in St Croix specially with the amazing view of Cane bay from the balcony. Michael had someone meet us at the airport and guide us to his place, the apartment can be hard to find via google and was always available to help out with any requests. We could not bring our snorkel gear and he put couple of kits together for us to use. His recommendations for activities were spot on and we were able to enjoy some beautiful beaches without the crowd. Also the big beard tour to buck island was amazing and one of the top things to do in St Croix, again Michael’s recommendation. Will definitely be back for another stay at his place.

Michael and Barbara are great hosts
This rental sits up on the mountain overlooking the north shore of St. Croix. The view is fantastic. I didn't realize that it is not walking distance to Cane Bay, but it is only a 10 minute drive, partly down dirt roads.
That being said, this property is clean and quiet, and we loved our 2-week stay. The owners, Michael and Barbara, live in their own house just up the hill and are very attentive. Michael picked us up at the airport because he assumed we would have difficulty finding the property. Once, when our rental car got a flat tire, he came at night in the rain to help us change it. This was above and beyond. Both Michael and Barbara are nice, funny, and kind. One night they invited up to their place for drinks and home made sushi!
Unless you really want to be on the water (there aren't any affordable rentals on this area of St. Croix) I would highly recommend booking with Michael.

Beautiful Ocean View
Very private one bedroom cottage with awesome deck with incredible ocean views. At the end of a driveway at the end of a dirt road with no drive by traffic. Extremely private and quiet. Owner Mike an excellent resource of info and recommendations. Only minor negative is access. Roads in general on St. Croix aren't great and dirt road from "main" road Very rough dirt road. Rent a jeep and be prepared to take time to get anywhere. Still only a few minutes from Cane Bay, 15 +/- to Christiansted or Fredrickstad. Shop before going up to cottage as no stores close by.

The house is clean and spacious for 2-3 people. The kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped with anything you could need. The views and deck are incredible, I miss it already. Michael is a wonderful host! He very kindly met us at the airport, gave us a ton of helpful information about the island, and was available for anything we needed. I would absolutely stay here again and again.

Our stay was phenomenal! Michael was the absolute best host. From meeting us at the airport upon arrival. To grabbing is a bite to eat & he delivered our food bc we had trouble with renting a car....he helped with that too!! ;) I also left my jewelry behind. Michael brought it to my attention and shipped it back to GA. (Whick wasn't cheap) I am so pleased with the hospitality that Michael provided. WHITE GLOVE Service for sure. My man & I can't wait to book again. Same host....Same spot! BTW stunning view.

St Croix Mountain View of north shore
Property owner was extremely nice and personable! The unit was clean and very well equipped.... whatever I didn’t have, he offered to provide, just ask.... I wanted a grill, and he provided it that day....! That made me very happy because I like to grill my food when possible... kitchen was well equipped and for any of your needs.... coffee maker, oven toaster, microwave.
Both the couch and bed were super comfortable!...... 32 inch tv with satellite connection... lots of things to watch while relaxing on the sofa!.... two ceiling fans and airco in the unit it made it very comfortable! The deck has an awesome view! Pretty bug free in the daytime, use bug spray at night but you are up in the woods so that is to be expected! The view is spectacular!!! And very relaxing...... I would recommend this unit to anyone that likes a gorgeous view, great owners, and ability to relax with the comforts of home!
