Room warm, large bathroom, hot water more than adequate.
There was no table to put my clothing and other paraphernalia onto. Bed large for room. Need hanging space that is suitable for guests.

I loved the quality finishes and the beautiful art deco styling of this hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel had a truly luxurious feel about it. The bath robes were divine.
The restaurant wasn't open on Monday night when I was staying.

From the friendly greeting at reception, to the complimentary room upgrade; super fast room service and exceptional food, this was a hugely unexpected luxury, boutique stopover en-route between the Blue Mts and Brisbane. Special mention also has to be made for Claire on reception, who went above & beyond to reunite me with my glasses that I’d inadvertently left in the room.
Sadly I wasn’t able to get the coffee machine in my room to work, but put that down to user error. Breakfast service was also a little lacking, but suspect that was due to a large group staying at the hotel who had all ordered hot breakfasts at the same time. The mini-pastries available for the complimentary breakfast were straight out of a French patisserie, served warm and more than made up for the lack of service :)

Beautifully designed rooms and ensuite
The room is far to small for what is charged. There is no seating area where one could work. I definitely won’t come again.

Advertisement said breakfast included. But only a continental breakfast is included. Full breakfast is $16 pp

Decor
Extremely disappointed that the additional bed in the room for our 14 year old son was actually a transportable, fold out bed. This was not stipulated in the description or at anytime throughout the booking. It was uncomfortable and unacceptable for the price we paid for the room. The property needs to be upfront about this. Not suitable for any child over the age of 6.

the beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and the room temperature was consistently comfortable. The staff were excellent- very friendly warm and professional from the check in to cleaning to breakfast and dinner. of course the renovations and art deco period is top notch and a lot of attention to detail. the desk in the lounge area was lovely to work in and wifi was good
nothing open on Monday- the hotel did provide a helpful list of things in town that were open on Monday and there is an appointed after hours staff member to help with issues who came promptly to help us with a new tv remote. the sitting room is lovely and so is the sun room but maybe a day bed or two in the sun room would be good and I’d have loved access to the top balcony which is open to the st air or another guest lounge upstairs instead of a conference room (which is not a criticism just my preference as a non business traveller) .

Super comfortable beds. Great hotel restaurant. Ridiculously good steak. Nice wait staff.
Rooms are a little on the small side. Bit of a trek to the car park.

This property has had a lot of Financial investment to return it to the glory of a bygone era

Dinner in the restaurant was amazing, staff were great.
Breakfast was terrible. Cereal and toast..
Was hoping for eggs etc.

Beautifully refurbished hotel. Lovely dining room.
Overnight price included a continental breakfast but we had to pay for a coffee unless you wanted instant coffee. No eggs with breakfast as there is no chef in the morning

The room was elegant and comfortable. Plenty of space with natural light.

Absolutely loved that art deco style, furnishings and fixtures!!
Very friendly service.
Very clean
Great location
Rooms weren't very sound proof, and could see the light from the corridor coming under the door at night.
Would be good to be able to open windows in the rooms/bathrooms.
It would be good if you could offer filter/drip coffee at breakfast, rather than just instant coffee.
Unfortunately couldn't find much potato in the hash browns

The bed was very comfortable with an above average size bathroom superbaby renovated.
Dinner in restaurant also top notch by country standards.
Lift a bonus for people of as certain age with baggage.
Trying to find Alice in Wonderland room 220 via the gold room numbers wall paint.
Must have fallen down the rabbit hole 🤣🤣

Fantastic location. Close to pubs and shops.
Comfortable bed. Lovely shower which didn’t leak !
Free movies on TV.
Very welcoming and friendly staff.
Gorgeous art deco furnishings.
Aircon worked great. Very quiet.
Very limited storage space for clothing in bedroom. (Easier to live out of the suitcase).
Not enough storage space in bathroom for toiletries etc.
Insufficient rails for wet bath towels.
Window in room was glazed and was sealed shut.
Very claustrophobic.
Complimentary breakfast on second morning was awful. Bacon had been cooked without separating the rashers, all stuck together and had the appearance and taste of being steamed. Hash browns were so overcooked that you couldn’t get your fork in them. No eggs both mornings. Insufficient juices and water for communal sharing.

Devore, excellent meal at restaurant- high quality food
disappointed no eggs for breakfast

Room was comfortable and well appointed. Centrally located, very friendly and helpful reception staff.
Noisy late at night. Slamming doors and noise from people coming in after downstairs bar closed.
