STAFF was absolutely wonderful! They were always cleaning: beach chairs, floors, etc Gift Shop and ladies working there, were great! Loved the nightly entertainment, vendors, complimentary chair massage and Happy Hour!! Our Room was decorated with Balloons and Wine for our 40th Anniversary! Thank you
Restaurant Service at Breakfast was very slow. My husband waited over 15 to get boiled water for tea. I wanted to enjoy the Spa, but the person who provided the Service I wanted was not working that day. Please Service LONGER Breakfast and Lunch times. There was an “All Day Menu” instead of Lunch. Thanks

Restaurant, watersports and pool area are all fantastic for families. Gym facilities are good for fitness fanatics if not a little worn. Reception area gives a real tropical feel that makes you feel like you're on a Caribbean holiday.
Specifically one member of reception staff was presumptive and rude. A member of the pool bar staff team was completely unsuitable to his role and spoke to my wife and daughter rudely.

I love the aesthetic of the place and how everyone was just friendly and courteous
Giving people who stay could not be extended and checked out a better hospitality room. And maybe even having small small rooms just for a relax before the flight

Staff were happy to make restaurant reservations and organise hire car rental . Great stay

Beach was okay and somewhat met expectations. The last two days we could not use the beach because red flags after the recent hurricane. The last day seas were flat, no white caps at all and we had small breaking waves like all week and they didn't allow guests to swim? The water was shallow?? I complained to the front desk and apparently one of the waters sport employee made this decision declaring the surf could drag you out?? This was false, the waves, 2-3 feet were uniform and always, like all week pushed you to shore. Beach employees were rude when I asked about it. Felt we were in a "nanny" state. Rooms were adequate but many were missing adequate utensils for the kitchen? Main pool was pleasant to swim in
front desk staff could be rude and argumentative. was Poor if no instructions on how to find our room when checking in, I could not? Rooms had 4 numbers, and all started with 5, so only the last three were used? This was pretty stupid. Never saw a manager, GM or otherwise on the property, neither a F&B manager and the staff needed one. Some service could be slow and painful to watch...I mean like long waits when seated outside. A waiter voiced my concerns to a group of gals sitting in the inside back and they all ignored us? Lazy!. Dinner first 2 night s was good, the chef from Trinidad was cooking. After this we experienced small portions...salad, apps and entrees...very poor value and very average. Never once thought I was in a tropical operation? They do a Thai night on Saturdays but they don't know how to cook basic Thai food? I had a Thai green chicken curry, it was horrible and tiny, like 4oz. Their pricing has no consistency, backwards and gouging people. with 4-5 days left I told my waiter we would not be back
in the early morning they cleaned the pools, and of course there are arrivals all day long. so, in the afternoon in the two smaller pools, for kids, the pool would be littered with flower petals, leaves , twigs, etc as kids swam in it?? And no one noticed..disgusting, and no one noticed every day that we were there. No supervision, on island time I suppose? They take their guests for granted. FYI, I have a 50 years of F&B Hospitality experience in Hotels and exclusive private City clubs
there was seaweed strewn all over and stones. While swimming at our resort beach in 3 feet of water I bumped into a soccer size rock in the water which should have been removed long ago? I warned some 12 year old kids swimming in the area to be careful and not let their heads contact the sand with the their heads, they seemed appreciative. on the photo provided you will see a red flag for swimming conditions next to the right beach umbrella.

It’s not too big but the facilities are great, no problem getting beds or getting in the pool, the beach is right next to it and although some days the red flag was out but if you walked up 100M there are two breakers and its yellow flags all day.
It’s a great location a short walk or taxi to St Lawrence gap (Nice restaurants)or Oistins (famous for frying fish)
The best night in the Calabash restaurant is Saturday they do Thai night, the entertainment each night was pretty good as well.
The pool bar was excellent and the bar staff Gregory , Sonia and Vivian were excellent.
All in all I would recommend this resort.
I wasn’t mad about the menu in the Calabash but then we are not foodies, the bar closed at Ten which is a bit early

Lovely hotel right on the beach, super comfy bed and spacious rooms. The front of house staff and those that cleaned our room were very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful.
Not the most beautiful stretch of water due to a lot of seaweed, but still better than most places I've been. Catering and bar staff were a bit hit and miss, a couple very friendly but a number of them it felt like it was an annoyance that you were there ordering food and drink.

We stopped over at this hotel for one night before flying to St Lucia, it’s convenient in relation to the airport, it’s a decent refurbished hotel with an ok restaurant.
We are on a fairly long trip with a considerable amount of luggage we wanted to leave a smallish case with the hotel until we returned to Barbados on Sunday they refused this was extremely disappointing and resulted in us being charged a considerable amount of money for overweight baggage by Inter Carribean who are I might add the worst airline I’ve ever travelled with.

Pool bar and pool bar staff were fantastic. The beds were so comfortable, the shower has great pressure. We liked being a 5 minute drive from The Gap the beach was not too crowded and it was quiet at night. We did venture to Sandals beach to swim as the waves were much calmer. The hotel staff was always cleaning and keeping the hotel tidy. There is a small game room with pool, air hockey, ping ping and video games for rainy days. We arrived very late due to flight delays and the staff were still welcoming and helpful.
I wish there were a few more restaurants nearby but the ‘secret’ Restaurant behind calabash was great- Deia at the Beach. The rooms could use a bit of a refresh but it was still very comfortable.

Amazing stay - would definitely return. The room was great, very spacious and clean with a beautiful view from our balcony. The beach is right outside, pool bar and beach restaurant are nice and the food was good.

Beautiful property. Great pool for young children. Right on the beach. Pool bar was fun and they have a daily happy hour. Room was very spacious for the three of us. Staff was very friendly and great with children.
Wish there were more restaurants within walking distance but we liked renting a car to explore the island.

Fantastic boutique hotel on a quiet end of a gorgeous beach. The restaurant attached is a lovely open-air dining room with tasty selections for breakfast lunch and dinner. Several small swimming pools surround a small bar with a swim up service area. The staff here, in all departments, are very friendly and helpful.

The hotel itself is fine. Most of the staff were pleasant and helpful - apart from 2 areas.
Front of house in the restaurant are distinctly unhelpful. We arrived for breakfast at 9.40. There were empty tables but we weren't allowed in because breakfast finished at 10.30!
We arrived for lunch - it says no wet swimsuits of coverups. I was wearing a dry swimsuit and a long t-shirt. I wasn't allowed in until I had gone and got 'bottoms'! The restaurant really didn't warrant such attitudes. Fortunately, there is a really good restaurant on the far side of the headland.
More importantly, because I family circumstances, I needed to book a day pass on our final day in Barbados. I thought I would book into Bourganvillea because it has good facilities for showering etc, if you didn't have a room. I was told that they could only tell you 24 hours before. I quite understand this but just kept getting a repeated emails from the Front Desk telling me this. What no-one said that it was policy not to sell day passes if occupancy was higher than 85%. As the hotel was over 90% full, surely they could have told be that it wasn't possible? Instead, when most hotel were booked up for day passes, I had to start searching.
There just seems to be a lack of courtesy among some of the staff.
