Everything is on line with the price.

**1. Location and Structure: 8/10**
Melia Koh Samui is ideally situated, offering direct access to a well-kept semi-private beach. The property is set amidst lush greenery, creating a serene and relaxing environment. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a boat suite, one of the resort’s premier accommodations, featuring a spectacular bathroom and a well-organized walk-in closet. However, the suite was equipped with a French bed, rather than the king bed we had expected in the deluxe room, and the narrow stairs between the suite’s two levels may not be ideal for everyone.
**2. Restaurant and Breakfast: 7/10**
The restaurant offers good quality food, although the prices are on the higher side. Evening entertainment was limited, with few activities to encourage guests to stay in the hotel. However, breakfast was plentiful and of high quality, with a wide variety of options. The dining experience was somewhat marred by the staff's limited English proficiency, often requiring requests to be repeated or clarified, which is inconsistent with the standard of service expected at a hotel of this caliber.
**3. SPA: 9/10**
The SPA is undoubtedly one of the hotel’s highlights. The SPA manager, Jern, was exceptional—attentive, highly skilled in delivering treatments, and capable of creating a deeply relaxing experience. We experienced a foot massage and a signature massage, a treatment that blends traditional and modern techniques for comprehensive well-being. While the prices are on the higher side, the level of professionalism and the quality of the treatments justify the cost, making the SPA an excellent choice.
**1. Gym: 4/10**
The gym, though available, was poorly equipped. It lacked essential equipment, making it a basic and rather inadequate facility. The addition of a barbell or a few more machines would have significantly improved the experience for those looking to maintain their fitness routine during their stay.
**2. Services and Staff: 5/10**
While the staff was generally friendly, the lack of pool management and the low level of English among the staff were frustrating. It often took several attempts to communicate requests clearly, which is not what one would expect from a five-star establishment. This issue detracts from the overall experience and highlights a need for improved training.
**3. Pool and Outdoor Areas: 4/10**
The pool area’s management left much to be desired. There was a noticeable lack of supervision by the staff, allowing guests, particularly families with children, to engage in disruptive activities such as diving, splashing, and playing with balls, which created a noisy and chaotic atmosphere. This lack of regulation is not aligned with the standards one would expect from a five-star resort, making it difficult to relax in what should be a peaceful setting. This was one of the most disappointing aspects of our stay.

Beautiful facilities from the pools to the lagoon and the rooms were just beautiful. The rooms were spacious and the balcony a wonderful size and nice with the bath and couch.
There were no lifts which we were unaware of and having 2 older people with knee problems and 3 kids in strollers it was frustrating to have to go up and down and leave the strollers at the bottom of the stairs. The staff especially max were very helpful in trying to accommodate a room change to better support our group

Pool. the Lounge. Rooms. Staff
We had to move rooms once due to a plumbing issue. Our room was not close to our kids room.
4.0
Location was superb, we had everything we needed and the staff were super friendly. Our kids loved the grounds and multiple pools and games areas.
The fact that the swim up pool bar doesn’t face the beach. Also the exec lounge roof top wasn’t well suited for everyone.

Pool access was unbeatable. I recommend booking The Level if you can stretch your budget. Not just for pool access but for the 'club' which gave oldies especially a place to engage with other guests at almost any time. (Free cocktail hour especially. :). Nice big / safe terrace for kids too.
Food was surprisingly ordinary. Breakfast was fine, but the other restaurant main menu has been so westernised that it seemed like club food in Australia. Almost no Thai food. (I guess thats what this generation of guests wants.) The exception was the Tapas menu (same restaurant) with some genuinely Spanish iconic dishes - and Spanish speaking staff (many of whom didn't speak Thai. Bizarre.) Nearby hotels and beach restaurants were much the same. Still love this hotel tho.

A stunningly beautiful hotel located in a quiet area in kosamoi , lots of well-kept gardens with trees and plants, beautiful and clean pools, a central pool with a view of the ocean and delicious cold fruits' shakes and coctails. The room is well equipped, clean and beautiful. The hotel staff is very kind and provides the best service.
Everything was good.
Every issue we had was dealt with to the best of our ability

Amazing across everything, the staff in every role were perfect and especially Baw by the poolside was a great host and then also Auto at concierge was so helpful
We loved the lazy river as temperature of the water was perfect with a swim up bar. The breakfast was unbelievably good, one of the best quality ever experienced and so much choice
The poolside rooms were nice, although we didn’t use the outside area other than to access pool, air con was great, bed comfortable, short walk to the main pool and beach
Sad to leave such a wonderful place
Minor but just would be prefer to have more privacy in the toilet and shower parts of the bedroom

Luxurious
Don’t come here for a quite romantic get away. It caters to families. There is a children’s play area in the middle of the property, which includes a pool. Not surprisingly, kids a screaming all day.

Egal ob im "The Level" oderauch sonst. Pool usw.

In general the hotel/resort is very beautiful. The boat house is is spacious and well decorated. The bathtub and the bathroom is absolutely amazing. The overall environment of the resort is spreading vacation vibes. The trees and plants are well taken care off. The beach is clean and there is enough space for all guests. The pool which is connecting the rooms is amazing and good for a swim. The staff was extremely friendly and supportive.
The room we've stayed in had a quite smelly toilet which couldn't been fixed during our stay. There was only one nightstand available in the bedroom. Not enough plug ins next to the bed. The pillow which were provided on the balcony already started to mould. The food and drinks in the hotel owned restaurant are overpriced. The breakfast is very western oriented without much variety throughout the days.

Amazing experience staying in the pool entrance levels room. The service from all staff was exceptional! Beautiful pools and beach. We were celebrating a special birthday and everyone at Melia made it a day to remember. Breakfast at the levels was fabulous, as was the afternoon snacks and evening cocktails.
The room on arrival felt a little damp and musty- but that’s a downside of a tropical environment. We didn’t notice it after the first night.

Nice beach and small village but not heap’s around. Breakfast was quite good!
Pool isn’t anywhere as big as it appears and is very shallow and doesn’t connect together. Water features are misleading and make it appear bigger. Pool access room wasn’t actually pool access was very disappointing as we paid a premium for it and most rooms on the ground floor were pool access accept for a group of approximately 6 rooms where ours was were there wasn’t direct access from the balcony. Service was also quite poor, after calling for towels that hadn’t been replaced they never came. Also long waits for simple requests. Patrons using the pool from the resort next door got better service then we did staying 7 days. There was one stand out, Baw at poolside, lovely personality and really understands service! Was a highlight of our stay.

Excellent location with beautiful beachfront. Fantastic staff, with clear purpose and superb hospitality skills.
Loved Candy and her Team at the Level.
Baw and his Team at the pool were very active and always available to serve with a smile.
Breakfast chef, and Team service at breakfast was impeccable!
Occasional bad sewerage smell in and around rooms.

Everything at Melia was amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff went above and beyond to assist us and were so welcoming and friendly. Also, the hotel facilities exceeded our expectations! Right on the beach, many different pool areas, games available, pool side service for food and beverages, enough sunbeds. Breakfast also great! Wifi was good. Air conditioning was good.
Everything was great.

The pool is awesome. Breakfast was excellent.
The beach was too tame for my taste

Staff was kind. But honestly Thai people are so that’s somewhat expected.
AC went out 4 or 5 times the first day. Continued to call to get fixed… each time I was told to close the patio door(blame the customer). It was not the door but locks on the AC that was not programmable and locked in Ecco mode. So it continue to get hot and then the power outages made this rinse repeat process happen over and over.
No towels at the pool.
No lift or elevator for 3rd floor. Not a big deal but when the bellhop never shows it’s a pain to move luggage.
No local restaurant except by the pool. Our room was a long walk away so to get a coffee or drink was a 30 minute trip.
Hard beds.
0.5
It’s close to the airport and areas like Chaweng.
It doesn’t feel like a 5-star hotel. Our room was full of mosquitoes and everytime we killed them there would be more after the room was made the next day. The hotel also doesn’t have any elevators, so if your room is on the second floor you need to take the stairs. The beach and pool loungers are always occupied, even in the early morning hours. Many guests just drop their towels there and occupy them for the whole day and you have no chance of getting one for yourself. The breakfast is quite lacking in flavor and was bland. The juices are premade and not fresh. Mosquitoes are also very busy here. Prices in the restaurant and bar are expensive, even compared to other and better 5-star hotels on the island. The staff was usually slow and not interested. We waited for bottled water for 30 minutes and new towels which they also only brought after calling multiple times.
The room walls, ceiling and doors are paper thin. We could hear our neighbors every sound. From flushing the toilet to snoring to taking a shower and even walking in the room, you can hear everything. There are also many kids who run around even late in the evening/night, so getting an early sleep is impossible. During the day there were always some construction noises.

Wonderful location. Breakfast was great. Personnel friendly.
Prices at the restaurant. Not enough parking space.
