The Melia Koh Samui provides a pleasant experiencek with its stunning location and well-maintained facilities. However,
**1. Location and Structure: 8/10** Melia Koh Samui is ideally situated, offering direct access to a well-kept semi-private beach. The property is set amidst lush greenery, creating a serene and relaxing environment. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a boat suite, one of the resort’s premier accommodations, featuring a spectacular bathroom and a well-organized walk-in closet. However, the suite was equipped with a French bed, rather than the king bed we had expected in the deluxe room, and the narrow stairs between the suite’s two levels may not be ideal for everyone. **2. Restaurant and Breakfast: 7/10** The restaurant offers good quality food, although the prices are on the higher side. Evening entertainment was limited, with few activities to encourage guests to stay in the hotel. However, breakfast was plentiful and of high quality, with a wide variety of options. The dining experience was somewhat marred by the staff's limited English proficiency, often requiring requests to be repeated or clarified, which is inconsistent with the standard of service expected at a hotel of this caliber. **3. SPA: 9/10** The SPA is undoubtedly one of the hotel’s highlights. The SPA manager, Jern, was exceptional—attentive, highly skilled in delivering treatments, and capable of creating a deeply relaxing experience. We experienced a foot massage and a signature massage, a treatment that blends traditional and modern techniques for comprehensive well-being. While the prices are on the higher side, the level of professionalism and the quality of the treatments justify the cost, making the SPA an excellent choice.
**1. Gym: 4/10** The gym, though available, was poorly equipped. It lacked essential equipment, making it a basic and rather inadequate facility. The addition of a barbell or a few more machines would have significantly improved the experience for those looking to maintain their fitness routine during their stay. **2. Services and Staff: 5/10** While the staff was generally friendly, the lack of pool management and the low level of English among the staff were frustrating. It often took several attempts to communicate requests clearly, which is not what one would expect from a five-star establishment. This issue detracts from the overall experience and highlights a need for improved training. **3. Pool and Outdoor Areas: 4/10** The pool area’s management left much to be desired. There was a noticeable lack of supervision by the staff, allowing guests, particularly families with children, to engage in disruptive activities such as diving, splashing, and playing with balls, which created a noisy and chaotic atmosphere. This lack of regulation is not aligned with the standards one would expect from a five-star resort, making it difficult to relax in what should be a peaceful setting. This was one of the most disappointing aspects of our stay.

Stunning hotel and beach- shame about no lifts
Beautiful facilities from the pools to the lagoon and the rooms were just beautiful. The rooms were spacious and the balcony a wonderful size and nice with the bath and couch.
There were no lifts which we were unaware of and having 2 older people with knee problems and 3 kids in strollers it was frustrating to have to go up and down and leave the strollers at the bottom of the stairs. The staff especially max were very helpful in trying to accommodate a room change to better support our group

Great family holiday for everyone.
Location was superb, we had everything we needed and the staff were super friendly. Our kids loved the grounds and multiple pools and games areas.
The fact that the swim up pool bar doesn’t face the beach. Also the exec lounge roof top wasn’t well suited for everyone.

Pool canals, large pool, beach, kids and grandkids - its Paradise.
Pool access was unbeatable. I recommend booking The Level if you can stretch your budget. Not just for pool access but for the 'club' which gave oldies especially a place to engage with other guests at almost any time. (Free cocktail hour especially. :). Nice big / safe terrace for kids too.
Food was surprisingly ordinary. Breakfast was fine, but the other restaurant main menu has been so westernised that it seemed like club food in Australia. Almost no Thai food. (I guess thats what this generation of guests wants.) The exception was the Tapas menu (same restaurant) with some genuinely Spanish iconic dishes - and Spanish speaking staff (many of whom didn't speak Thai. Bizarre.) Nearby hotels and beach restaurants were much the same. Still love this hotel tho.

A very good experience
באמצעות המצלמה A stunningly beautiful hotel located in a quiet area in kosamoi , lots of well-kept gardens with trees and plants, beautiful and clean pools, a central pool with a view of the ocean and delicious cold fruits' shakes and coctails. The room is well equipped, clean and beautiful. The hotel staff is very kind and provides the best service.
Everything was good. Every issue we had was dealt with to the best of our ability
