Definitely not a 5 Star experience. I stayed in the Spa Suite room called Oak. The room cost £423. It had No Air Conditioning. The room is above the Pool/Spa area, as you could really feel the heat, it was way too hot, with only a basic Fan I had to take out the wardroom. No bottles of water in the room, or a Fridge. I asked for an ice Bucket to take to the room, but reception told me they had no ice, as the machine was broken. The mattress is two singles pushed together, it dips in the middle and you can really feel the springs, it definitely needs replacing. Due to the old mattress and the hard Springs, along with the heat with no Air Conditioning, I didn’t sleep well at all. I phoned reception in the morning to ask for late checkout at 12, and was told “ No, someone had paid for early check in at 12, so I had to be out by 11”. I told reception I wasn’t happy with my stay, and would be leaving a 1 star review. She didn’t even ask why, just said sorry. I wish I booked the Holiday Inn down the road, much better service, better beds, they have Ice and you can check out at 12 like most decent hotels. Avoid.

spa itself is lovely and the staff but the room wasn’t what we expected

very nice location, staff were extremely nice and helpful

we paid extra for a king size room and it was two beds pushed together! i think for the price your paying and the sort of hotel it is you shouldn’t be selling rooms that have two beds pushed together with separate mattresses

It was nice wish we had more time in the spa.

Well we arrived around 7pm and they told us we have the spa for 1 hour and and only until 11am the next day. There was nothing on the website that said this and it said spa included in the same breath as car park etc... I asked if the carpark also closed at 8 and we were kicked out the next day by 11..she laughed bu I was serious. This looks like they intentionally omit this advice from their website. You have to turn up early and on the day to get your money's worth

Coffee machine didn’t work, attachment for hairdryer didn’t fit. And cost so much more than we expected. Didn’t expect service charge on top of the already expensive drinks, every time we ordered!!!

fantastic 5* hotel without the snobbery. Will return!

very welcoming staff that made me feel very comfortable being a solo female traveler. loved the room, spa and reflections restaurant in particular

I felt the food offer in the champagne bar could have been better, not much on offer for veggies. I also did a walk but the map from the hotel was terrible so easily got lost, so did some other guesses I bumped into!

Stunning spa break away from the busy city.

the staff were so so friendly and really made the stay. the attention to detail, the offer of a bottle of water when checking out, welly boots to borrow for a walk around the grounds, the spa products in the bathroom. definitely the nicest spa I’ve ever been to, very beautiful and clean, the changing rooms were lovely too. we had a very comfortable nights sleep and delicious dinner and breakfast.
