Your welcome was warm and friendly and we loved the feel of the lodge from the first moment we entered. It was very comfortable and we very much enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was very good. The lift to the pub was much appreciated given the amount of rain and we would love to stay again.

Had a great stay in Duck Lodge a few days after Christmas 2023! The place is very cosy and has everything you need. The hot tub is amazing after a day of hiking, and especially after braving the December winds. Keith was such a welcoming host, and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. He picked us and dropped us off at the train station, and the breakfast was very delicious. Thanks Keith, looking forward to visiting again!

Keith is a friendly and welcoming host and nothing is too much trouble. The lodge itself is comfortable and cosy, we had the best nights sleep. Breakfast is absolutely delicious with a good choice of options. The hot tub is lovely after long walks over the hills. The location is great for walking from the doorstep as is the local pub and shop.

The breakfast was fantastic, lovely fresh fruit and lots of choice. It was nice to be able to eat it in the seating area outside. Comfy bed and all mod cons in the lodge. The owner was very helpful with local restaurant recommendations. The hot tub was lovely with a nice view of the Downs.

2 night stay in February for a wedding nearby. Duck Lodge is such a lovely venue with so many quirky and individual aspects that make it very cosy and relaxing. The service was very good the owner was a delightful man. It was perfect for us to take nice walks on the downs with great views. The hot tub was a lovely touch too which we enjoyed on our 1st night.

A friend recommended the lodge to us as they had stayed a few months ago, so we thought we would give it a try.
We were made to feel very welcome by Keith the owner and he was incredibly helpful. He brought us fresh bread for breakfast which was lovely.

After a long walking day on the South Downs Way, Keith welcomed us in to his splendid B&B. Hidden in the back of the garden, surrounded by mature plants. Next to the cabin is a fridge with cold drinks and honesty bar, so you don't have to travel far for a refreshment.
We used the hot tub before heading to the pub.
Very generous breakfast with fresh fruit and orange juice.

After a rainy day on the SDW, I entered this lovely, small, stand-alone cottage. Inside I was greeted by soft lighting, classical music, tea, fresh fruit, and sweets. From my arrival to my departure, Keith did everything to make my stay memorable. He made sure the cottage temperature was to my liking and he took care of my wet clothes. The bed was comfy and the continental breakfast filling and delicious. It's clear Keith delights in making Duck Lodge the perfect stay that it is.

Had a brilliant stay at the Duck Lodge. Had all the facilities you’d expect and more! Very warm, modern and clean. The decorations had a great attention to detail inside and outside, each decor was placed thoughtfully and added a great touch of personality! The host was kind and helpful and provided a guide for advice on where to eat. Location was also great, only a short drive to Brighton. We would recommend it for any occasion!

I stayed here for 1 night while doing the South Downs Way. I’d booked Duck Lodge because it was in a convenient location but it was a lovely place to stay. The room and bed were very comfortable and the breakfast that Keith provided was first class. This was definitely the best place I stayed on the South Downs Way. Highly recommended.

I stayed here for one night during a work-trip that necessitated a stay away from home and could not have asked for a nicer place to stay.

Stayed one night. Easy drive from Gatwick Airport. Keith was very welcoming. Duck Lodge is at the back of the property , so quiet and secluded. All the comforts are provided and we enjoyed a great breakfast sitting at the outdoor table. I recommend a stay here. Get accurate directions to The Ginger Fox for dinner ! Hard to find !
