The bed was comfortable and the general cleanliness of the hotel was good. There are some stunning parts to the building but this was limited to the older parts.
I arrived at 8:30pm after a long drive. No room service and the restaurant was open until 9pm. If you're after a lighter snack like a club sandwich you're out of luck.
My room distance certainly contributed to my daily step count which was 7mins from reception, then there was the similar walk to the reception from the car park. If you get the wrong car park it's even further, it would have been good to have a check in space by reception.
When I got to my room I quickly realised the hotel was on the Heathrow flight path. My room had doors rather than windows that were no sound proof. The shower was a trickle and the shower head had pink mould on it. Other than that the bathroom was clea. The room was hotter than the sun but a lack of air con and the flight path situation made it difficult to cool down..
The evening meal I was rushed at the main restaurant and asked for payment as soon as I walked up. I asked if it was set menu and told yes and shown the food. As I was after a light snack I was told to go to the 1709 bar. Expecting a bar snack i was disappointed. I was sat in another restaurant in the middle of groups, I ordered a pint and a burger with the service charge 🤬 I was £26 out of pocket. Half my food was left not because of the taste but it was much bigger than the snack I wanted.
Only one member of staff said hello/good morning in the corridors. One of the three reception staff was lovely, the other two did not seem to be happy they were on the shift. Both check in a check out.
Pool facilities open at 7 breakfast starts at 7. Makes if difficult for business visitors to do both before leaving for work.
While this wasn't a bad hotel I've rated it based on the image it presents its self, the price and the 4star rating. Much better hotels in the area but does not meet my expectations set. . Luckily I had a good genius discount but I won't be staying here again.

The customer service I received was impeccable, due to booking through booking.com there was a slight issue with the room we was given and the room we booked online. Although this was not the hotels issue they were very keen to help resolve my concern they went above and beyond to ensure that we was happy. I can't thank the staff enough for the top quality service my family recieved. The hotel grounds were beautiful and in a great location.

Good location for Windsor Castle. Food was decent.
Very spread out - had to walk miles between room and restaurant. Room was small (or bed was too big) and bathroom was poor. Odd arrangement with two rooms off entrance lobby. Room door were heavy and noisy when entering/leaving room.

Everything looks great, it looks like an old mansion, luxury is the word, reception open late, complimentary stuff, great outdoors too
There is no air con in rooms just a Fan.
The phone to dial Reception doesn't work

Beautiful old estate
I upgraded my room to a deluxe one. It was possibly slightly bigger than standard one, but practically without windows. The windows in the room was way above upper door level. I am severe claustrophobic and I spent restless night in a deluxe room without deluxe! During my breakfast one of the writers dropped a glass on the floor and with a cheeky smile put it back on the shelf with the clean ones. It made me think about the cleaning standards of the estate.

Location
No Room Service. No staff help for taking luggage. Room Too far away. No moisturiser’s in bathroom, No dental Kits, nobody answering phones at reception. Pool too deep for children.

Room was comfortable, excellent fittings
Dinner was excellent - rate very highly for both quality of food and service
Breakfast was also very good, though would have welcomed a 'continental breakfast' option e.g. cold ham, salami, sliced cheese as is provided in many hotels
Staff were very helpful at all times
A good early walk from our room to breakfast - interpret as unusually long! It's a large estate.
Better signs to reception when driving in so could park car closer first time

This hotel was just what we needed after a long day at Legoland. The beds were so comfy, staff were helpful and the breakfast was fantastic. It is a huge hotel on large grounds, if you have time I would recommend taking a walk because it is worth it.

We wanted a hotel away from Windsor centre with parking
Only stayed bed and breakfast good choice of food hot and cold great smoothies
Hotel staff friendly and hotel clean in all areas easy check in and out
Rooms perfect
The 3 round mirrors on the wall in bedroom as they stuck out and my husband cut his head on one nothing major and no assistance needed from the hotel

Location was superb - the brochure photo is misleading - unless you specifically book to stay in the White House as pictured your accommodation bears more resemblance to a budget motel:correctional facility
The rooms were very small and dark. The bathroom was in need of refurbishing- peeling paint on the bath panel, holes in the plasterboard by the towel radiator. Shower gel/shampoo dispensers with broken pumps which meant they couldn’t be used. Shower screen could not be folded back, although hinged to do so, making access into the above bath shower awkward unless you were very slim or of childlike proportions. No extractor fan in bathroom. No mini fridge in room. No air conditioning- just a noisy fan. Windows could not be opened more than a crack due to the childproof window lock

Beautiful rooms,
Beautiful surroundings.
Staff needs more training - Always giving a death stare rather than a welcoming hello!
We upgraded to suite as wanted to watch Euros action once kids were in bed, but the TV in living room didn’t work, we complained but no resolution and no apologies no alternatives offered!
They had a few events on site and all seemed to have revolved around them, restaurant all booked, bars all full, people chatting away loudly past midnight with no one from staff to remind them there are other guests in the hotel apart from wedding family!

Room was a bit dark and tired but it had everything that we needed, drinks, safe etc. The bed was very comfortable as was the duvet. The bathroom was well fitted with toiletries and ample towels. The dinner was excellent and as it was a celebration meal we were able to use the private area and were also given a lovely cake.
There was plenty of choice for breakfast and everything was lovely except for the hash browns which were not cooked inside and the bacon was chewy as it had dried out. The grounds were lovely and great to walk around.
It would have been nice to have had a bath and not just a shower.
The hash browns were not cooked inside and the bacon was dry.
The room could do with a bit of brightening up.
Although I had requested rooms close to each other, we were spread out from one side of the building to the other and all on different floors.
It would have been a bit more relaxing to have a lounge area with comfortable chairs near the bar area rather than the high tables and chairs. Maybe there was one that we didn’t see!

The property overall was very clean. Our room was very comfortable. The gardens were a nice place to go and sit in the nice weather. The staff were very polite and helpful.
The hotel was very very busy, which I think showed in the quality of the food. We ate in the buffet restaurant on the first night. The food unfortunately in the heated containers was very dry and unappetising. The waiting staff in the restaurant looked unhappy which affected the service. On the second night we ate in the main restaurant which was better but the service was very slow.

Location
Standard rooms are a little on the small side, even for the price.

The vast look of the building
The room was small. No lifts to this room. Reception was very poor in allocating rooms! People with hip problems had to walk 2 floors with their luggage with no help! There was no drinking water in the rooms! Breakfast was very disorganised! Even Premier Inn was better than this hotel! Paid a lot more and did booking some 9 months before looking at the venue- was very disappointed!
3.9
It was a beautiful place
The room was very small and much smaller than other “standard doubles” who paid the same price. No space around the bed and no space to put a full suitcase. The room was also dirty with hair on the bed. We paid quite a lot and were very disappointed

Location, grounds,
Getting through the initial door befor going to the door too room, I struggled getting the cases in due to the angle it was awful tbh

Staff were very polite and helpful.
If you’re after a (reasonably) quiet weekend stay, I wouldn’t bother. There were weddings going on when we arrived which caused carnage outside with parking. Multiple groups waiting to be checked in with so many young children, I felt like we were checking into Butlins! I totally understand hotels run weddings and aren’t adults only but the reception was nothing short of chaos.
The room was a lot smaller than the pictures online, no room to move round the bed without hitting your head on the tv. Dirty towels and the bedding also had hair on it. It wasn’t anything like the pictures.
Didn’t attempt to go to the pool considering the amount of children running round, we expected that it would again be full.
Breakfast in the morning was again utter chaos. Every single table was taken (and there are many!), food was luke warm at best and many items were not replenished. Empty plates everywhere.
I have stayed in many country hotels that are very similar to this one and I have never experienced one so busy or underwhelming.

Family rooms and lots of space in the hotel.
It isn’t set up for kids. Whilst the evening buffet restaurant had a basic kids offer. There was no where else to be. It needs a more family friendly bar or cafe

Reception staff friendly, nice area
Noise in the room made it impossible to sleep. Unclean. Run down. Poor response from staff when I brought it to their attention. Management offered to partially refund the room then never did so and stopped replying. This doesn't meet De Vere standards. Save your money and go to another hotel who value repeat customers.

Location, facilities and services all great 👍
Back door to the garden was not shutting properly and I was cold. Otherwise good size room, clean 👌 😌
3.9
the amazing swimming pool which was a real bonus for a rainy stay between Legoland and the Windsor Castle, amazing breakfast, great restaurants available on site for dinner
the beautiful facade of the hotel that is featured on the picture is not actually the hotel, but just nearby, but fair enough ;)

Beautiful grounds and location, nice room.
unhelpful staff- booked dinner reservation upon arrival, when we went to the restaurant they had no booking the managed to find us a table but we left after an hour without even being spoken too. we spoke to someone who dismissed us and again in the morning. We have emailed and received no response.

It was clean
Three other travellers and myself who had lost luggage and missed flights due to delays booked this hotel exhausted at 2am. I asked for a late checkout but was flatly refused. Basically I paid 200gbp for 8 hours. The hotel is an absolute rabbit warren. Never seen anything like it. Endless badly signposted corridors. The room was completely devoid of any character whatsoever but I guess that’s personal taste. It felt like a room in an office. It’s a 4 star hotel but no body cream. I can imagine many travellers end up there with no luggage. Small touches like cream would make a huge difference.
One of the travellers had booked a room for 240gbp (the only room available that was for 3 people) for a checkin at 2am. She hadn’t noticed that she hadn’t checked the option box for breakfast when booking. They charged her an extra 20gbp. I understand that she hadn’t paid but she was barely spending any time there. I asked if they would consider waiving the fee but they flatly refused again. Maybe I’m expecting too much but a little compassion, understanding and a personal touch would go a long way to getting favourable reviews. This hotel does not get my vote and I would definitely not recommend it or stay there again.

Todo no me gusto para el precio. Me siento estafado.

Beautiful kept grounds. Friendliness of staff. Breakfast was amazing. Very clean. Good location.
Room was claustrophobic. Absolutely tiny. Only a foot between bed and wall on two sides. Bashed my ankle twice which is now bruised. Nowhere for our suitcase - it ended up in bathroom. Wardrobe offered no space for clothes as it was full with ironing board, iron, hairdryer, safe, spare linen, coffee/tea & kettle tray, so clothes had to stay in suitcase as there was nowhere else. Signposting to room is poor. I got lost twice!
