Good Breakfast and dinner. Very welcoming staff. Good for a stop over on the way into or out of Aberystwyth - had always wanted to stay here. Went to visit Devils bridge which is nearby. The steam train is also right near by as well as a tea room so not completely isolated.
Nothing major. There are lots of trucks and cars passing near by but it is the main road so no surprises there. A lot of motorbikes stop by but again nothing to worry about.

The hotel is decorated well and the location is fantastic. The hotel is clean
The owner is rude, lacks hospitality experience. Does not treat her guests with respect. The food is not of a high standard and in no way is worth the money.

Fantastic Room, Excellent Food and Very Friendly and Helpful Staff. Location ideal for nearby attractions and the general Aberystwyth Hinterland.

The Hafod hotel was an absolute pleasure. Our room was well appointed, the bathroom and shower luxurious, in-room facilities excellent and the bed very comfortable and well sprung. The staff were friendly and efficient. We had dinner and breakfast included with the booking and were pleasantly surprised with both meals. Although slightly limited in choice dinner was beautifully presented and cooked to a high standard. The restaurant was situated in the annex overlooking the picturesque forested valley. Breakfast was served in a separate breakfast room and, again, beautifully presented. We took full advantage of the surrounding countryside, especially the famed Devils Bridge Gorge, to complete our stay. Excellent.
Car park is not close to the hotel.
Limited dinner menu.

Fantastic location by the Devils Bridge and Nature Walk by the falls. Beautiful Swiss-style former hunting lodge with amazing views over the valley. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was lovely with a large picture window overlooking the mountains and valley. Nice big shower and comfy bed. Delicious 3 course meal, with ample portion sizes and, as it was Valentines, a themed menu and red rose for the guests. The full Hafod breakfast was also delicious with local laverbread included.
The heating in the room was a bit baffling - we couldn’t easily see the controls, but once we fathomed it out the room was really warm. Also, It would have been nice to have another chair in the room so we could have both sat by the window. We were surprised there was no woodburner or log fire in the downstairs lounge to make it a bit more cosy in the evening.

Everything was spot on nice place nice staff beautiful sceneray
Despite being told repeatedly that my partner is gluten and dairy intolerant they served her icecream after being told that the only gluten dairy free desert they have is sorbet. Unfortunately this led to her being ill for the night
