Good value for money to stay just the odd night.
Had to pay extra for car parking, and the entry keycard seemed to reset next morning even before checkout. To be fair they were juggling between Penta systems and their new ones so maybe down to that.

Very reasonable room rate. Good range on the food menu. Breakfast started at 6.30 for those people who start work early. There is alot of choice to cater for everyone. Self service and the food was hot. The staff were very welcoming and they cannot do enough for you throughout your stay.

The reason we booked this hotel was the location and it was exactly what we expected. The area was quiet and beautiful. There are not so many things to do, but that's exactly what we wanted.
We also had a great night in the lobby with football on TV and drinks.
The linen, bathroom, etc were clean; however, there are old fabric chairs in the room which are not clean at all. We stayed for 5 days and we did not want to sit on these chairs with the stains...
Also, when we scanned the room QR code for room service, it stated that it was until 22:30, and when we called to order, we were told that this time was not valid and informed that room service was already closed about 1 hour ago. After we ordered the only thing they could get us, about 1 hour passed. It was then 23:30, and room service had not yet come. We called the front desk twice, but no one answered.
This happened from the first few nights so we didn't bother to try anything else.
Finally, they do not accept cash, which sometimes causes inconvenience.
I really hope those things will be fixed because I would like to stay again at this hotel in the future.

Hotel was quiet and the rooms were big enough and the bed was incredibly comfortable!
There was some strange orange stain on the bed sheet, it was quite a large stain, it wasn’t very pleasant.

What a perfect stop, very highly recommend! We got a wonderful breakfast to suit our dietary requirements and the showers were amazing and beds comfy. The location was perfect and right by the main road so we could just drive into the car park without having to look for somewhere hidden. The only reason I am not giving the highest score is the paid parking. I think for such an obvious stopover for people travelling by car, the parking should be included in the price. But everything else was a top score!
Paid parking was the only thing that we didn't think was great for a travel stopover hotel

Friendly staff, breakfast was fine
Hairdryer didn’t work, air conditioning was ineffective room temp. Was 25 degrees constantly. Limited room service (pizza) and had to go down to ask for it as the phone either didn’t work or no one answered . Shower didn’t drain properly

Clean and spacious room
Bar prices quite expensive

no fuss clean and modern
Ate in restaurant for dinner. Nice food but expensive for what it was

Overall, very good.
If it was in a nice place as opposed to a business park by the motorway, it would be a very nice hotel (but obviously I knew what I was getting with the location - a stop off from a long drive, so not a negative)
The food was excellent.
£5 for car parking was a bit cheeky (especially given the location)
Drinks were expensive.
TV didn’t work (to be fair, I didn’t complain about this, so they might have easily fixed it)

the staff were welcoming. the room was nice and a good breakfast buffet
the parking isn’t free and that wasn’t clear before booking and breakfast wasn’t cheap, bathroom had some black mould on floor tiles.

Noisy party in the bar. Put me off staying for a nightcap when I got back.

Hotel is functional for what I needed but the rooms are tired and could do with a make over
Reception and checking in slow, understaffed.
2.0
The shower was dirty, the soap dispenser empty and dirty. The toilet seat was falling off and the toilet flush had a hole around it. The room was dusty. For a relatively new hotel the facilities seemed worn and unkempt.
Also i
The hotel reception was at the bar so it felt like going into a pub rather than a hotel. This was not an pub/Inn situation.

looked ok when booking
first room I got was very noisy at the front of the hotel and traffic load so checked the window which was closed but the noise was so load I changed rooms ..
cleanliness wasn’t great and shower room looked unclean
Breakfast was the worst I’ve had .. self serve but the sausages you could tell was from a few days ago and definitely not fresh .. the first one I bit into had a sweet taste which told me there were off ! ..
The bar staff service was pleasant enough but the management didn’t great you with a smile as seemed to have other priorities .
personal I won’t stay again

The TV didn’t work and the toilet was broken so it was leaking water all night. Told reception in the morning and they said they’ll make a note of it …..didn’t get an apology

stayed in the penta hotel many times since it was built. convenient and nice set up
the room I stayed in (213) was really tired. the bathroom floor cracked as I walked on it, grouting failed, shower was loose on the wall. (and at the start of the hall was a room that had been broken into at some stage - why leave it looking damaged!!?)
3.5
lovely hotel, staff are superb
Hugely over priced for wine and food. £12.50 I think for a large wine… Iv paid similar in hotels in central London.
5.0
clean
noisy traffic and a little cool in the room
