Beautiful place. Had horses an donkies outside that the kids enjoyed interacting with. Our hotel room was a little dated but clean and comfortable. No AC - wasn't a problem since it wasn't hot and this was Mid August.
The staff taking our breakfast order seemed annoyed and impatient. A different staff member scolded us when my 4-year-old started playing on the floor next to us. While I understand that my child shouldn’t have been doing that and that it could be hazardous for the staff and others (which I was trying to address), I did not appreciate the way we were spoken to—judgmental with some annoyance. These two interactions left a bad taste, and I'm unsure if I want to return to this hotel. During our 2-week vacation, I've stayed in six hotels, and this is the only place where I encountered such negative interactions with the staff. Otherwise the rest of the stay was pleasant. I would still recommend this hotel to others.

We stayed in the Junior Suite and it was delightful. Large, comfy bed, pull out couch for my daughter, beautiful bathroom, indulgent overall. The dogs and donkeys and mini-ponies on site were a treat for the kids. The food was great. Really, really enjoyed our stay!
The lower level rooms were less indulgent, small

Everything!!! The Staff especially Joe and Doreen serving an outstanding breakfast. The rooms, the ability to have an elegant dinner or a casual one and outside seating. Walking the gardens and a larger Walking path through the woods. And of course the canine greeters! The food is just fabulous also.
Nothing bad to say.

everything was exceptional! We felt like we were treated like royalty when we were there. And my husband and I were there six years ago and came back this year to celebrate our wedding ceremony with our family. All of the staff or wonderful but we have to say Stella was exceptional! Can’t wait to return

The Castle and Grounds were beautiful!
Our room was SO hot when we got there! I had to call the front desk to figure out how to turn down the heat and it took a long time to cool down. I had the windows open to help cool it down, but someone was smoking outside so then our room started to smell like smoke. That was unfortunate. Other than that, the stay was great.
