Nice looking from outside, beautiful location at the harbor

Old and run down AC practically non-existent Smelly carpet, in general not very clean Disappointing breakfast, food was nothing special, dirty dining room

Gerne wieder!

Sehr nettes Personal, welches auch in sehr hektischen Situationen immer ruhig bleibt. Das Gebäude und auch unser Zimmer sind ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, aber es war immer alles sauber, auch das Putzpersonal macht einen gute Job und ist immer sehr freundlich. Frühstücksbuffet war gut.

Zimmer sind eher ringhörig.

Boa localização central, esforço do staff de Front Office e restaurante. Dado às condições do hotel, o housekeeping faz um trabalho extraordinário. A realçar a disponibilidade de FO Sr Miguel e do Restaurante Sra. Fátima.

As instalações do hotel estão completamente obsuletas. Fomos informados antecipadamente que a piscina exterior não estaria disponível até inclusive dia 08.06. Porém continuou fechada no dia 09.06 e o staff de FO não tinha qualquer informação ou previsão de reabertura. Foi frustrante porque escolhemos o hotel pela piscina para usufruir com o nosso filho de 3 anos. Entretanto a cozinha também estava em obras. Só recebemos essa informação 1 semana antes da chegada. O jantar seria servido em buffet por empresa externa. Foi caótico com qualidade abaixo do esperado. O meu marido esteve doente um dia da estadia e nem um arroz branco foi possível pedir á cozinha. Nem.houve qq proactividade em ajudar encontrar uma solução. Pedi indicações para almoçar com o meu filho no domingo, mas o staff não tinha muito conhecimento sobre restaurantes próximos que estariam abertos. No geral sentimos o staff frustrado e desmotivado. Quarto: quando chegamos verificamos no momento de abrir a porta do quarto que o autoclismo estava a escorrer água. Pedimos de imediato a reparação. Não entendo como num hotel de 4* essa situação não é verificada antes de entregar o quarto ao hóspede. Das torneiras e chuveiro saia areia preta ao abrir a água....todos os dias. Colchão e almofadas demasiado duras. Alcativas velhas. Interior e exterior a recisar de manutenção correctiva urgente. Exterior do hotel parece abandonado, sem qualquer cuidado. Nem um espaço infantil básico existe nesse terreno enorme que pertence ao hotel.

Great old world hotel with many nice amenities and great central location.

The restaurant service was impeccable, very nice staff! The room was large, comfortable, with an amazing view The Nespresso coffee machine was Appreicated!

The swimming pool closed at 8pm, should be open until at least 10pm The matresses on the beds will decent were hard and not easy to sleep on.

High expectations fully met!

I can perfectly understand why this is a 4 star-hotel: everything was just great, from the spacey rooms to the friendliness of the staff to the great breakfast ánd very good lunch and diner foodquality. I would go there again if I’d come back to Horta

There seemed to be no surveillance on the usage of the pool and gym. This led to the use of the pool by some people without wearing a swimming cap and also to the use of the fitness room bij youth, who were still wet from swimming.

Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet, herrliche Aussicht, gute Lage. Hilfsbereites Personal und sehr saubere Unterkunft. Wirklich empfehlenswert.

Leider gab es fürs Abendessen nur ein Buffet und keine Möglichkeit etwas kleines zu bestellen oder etwas von der Karte. Im Hallenbad war Badekappen obligatorium nicht aber im Poo im Garten.

A good stop over

Good location and nice views across to Pico Island.

Everything was OK. The only thing we were not expecting was to agree to a €30 charge up front on my credit card which we were told would be used if you bought drinks etc. We were assured that if we didn't buy anything, it would not be taken. However, 5 days later, it is still showing as a pending payment on my credit card. We understand why the hotel does this, but it was a surprise.

Anazing view with great facilities

View on Pico and Port, Pools, Hot Tub, Turkish Bath, Breakfast and super sweet helpful staff and manager

Mattress/ Bed is old/soft, as pillows, there was some improvement work going on in the kitchen, just below room, what starts with breaking stones, but management handled that properly with a discount, and weekend was quiet

hotel situé au coeur de la ville

hôtel de grand confort . bien situé au coeur de la ville d'Horta. Le personnel est disponible pour venir en aide aux voyageurs. Les chambres sont climatisées. On a une vue sur le port et sur le Pico depuis la piscine extérieure. Le petit déjeuner est copieux.

La liste des services ne se trouvent pas dans un simple livret dans la chambre mais nécessite l'utilisation assez fastidieuse de de QR codes. la salle de restauration est bruyante.

It is OK, but in need of renovation

Great location and the setting with great views and trees.

The rooms are worn out, they need to be renovated, especially the taoestry on the floor which has stains and bad odour. Breakfast selection could be better, too.

Simply run-down place in urgent need of renovation

The location and the view

The property is run-down. The carpet is old and filthy. One door of the wardrobe fell down and hit me on the head whilst trying to open the safe located down.

Location location ! Beautifully maintained! Staff was beyond helpful. Carlos Rosa Andrea were attentive provided excellent service and were helpful in giving advice to local restaurants cafes and during are stay were so kind to ourselves and other people who stayed at this location.

The hills and stairs needed to get back to hotel at end of night but if cab was taken the back entrance to get to hotel was required as cab left us at front of hotel

The room key keeps de-activate

Nice location and great view in the dining room

The trouble began when the room key kept deactivate after multiple activations. Each time I returned to my room, I found myself locked out, so I’ll have to walk a long way back to the reception and ask them to give me a new card. Very frustrating and disrupting. When I informed the reception about the card not working the third time, they activated the card and assured me that it wouldn't happen again, and sent a staff member to accompany me to assure that. However, as expected, the card still didn't work. The staff had to run back with me to get another replacement card.

Great hotel for a stay in Horta. It has everything you would expect from a big hotel - Big rooms with comfy beds, clean bathroom, good breakfast, great service and more We enjoyed the great views of the harbour and Pico Island

Great location!

Old and outdated property and the beds were terribly uncomfortable. The bathroom shower had hair on the walls. Nice breakfast but dinner buffet was expensive for quality.
