Very nice
Location
4.1
Breakfast was exceptional, best full English for a number of years. It was certainly cooked to order, great touch.
Small double room not anything special, but everything was right.
Great location for a walk down the canal and some interesting history.
Railway is quite noisy and a regular passing at speed…not the best for someone who opens the window.

Chegue na propriedade estava anoite as luzes apagadas ! Tipo filme de terror não entrei e paguei ainda 95 libras
Não entrei não tive retorno

The whole experience was very good, from the room, staff and on-site restaurant.
It would be good to be able to book breakfast as part of the room booking, rather than having to pay separate to the pub.

Room was clean, and breakfast was amazing
Lovely friendly atmosphere... Highly rrecommend

The room was great, really clean and tidy. Nice large airy room. The bathroom was spotless and the shower fine. The breakfast was great. Exactly how I like it. thanks
The room was too noisy for me (and I thought I had asked for a quiet room). The noise was from the railway across the road (mainline trains running). Also work in the rail yard late on a Sunday. It was also too easy to hear the people next door (I could hear the call the lady made to her daughter when she arrived). They probably heard me snoring!

Bar and Dining Facilities good. Breakfast good. Owner and staff friendly although a little chaotic at times.
The Bedrooms were very dated. Need a complete refurbishment. Had a superior room which was over priced and not good value. Noise from trains so awoken at 5 am. Regular trains then onwards so lack of sleep. Needs to have double glazed windows which would help! Restaurant offered a limited menu as most items were not available on the menu!! Not satisfactory.

The hotel is countryside modern. Welcoming staff. Private off road parking which feels safe. Food at dinnertime delicious. The steak is fabulous. Prices for food are good for being off road. The room we stayed was clean, spacious, airy and nicely decorated. The breakfast in the morning included in the very reasonable price we paid for bed and bfast is a clean plate of food English bfast. Well worth the money for 3 of us and very comfortable lovely hotel to put your head down for the night when you're on a road trip and just popping in for dinner alone is a good experience. Thankyou to all the staff who made us feel welcome and looked after us in the morning. We made it safely home to Glasgow
Nothing to complain about

Food and staff all good

Room was fine, if a little basic, bathroom very nice and clean
The room I stayed in was on the front of the building, when booking I did not realise the hotel was only stones throw away from the main railway line, every time a train went past the noise was very loud, this went on all night resulting in a very poor nights sleep.

Staff is very polite and friendly.
There was an ant on the duvet upon arrival, floor very creaky and mattress & pillows uncomfortable.
4.1
There was a good band on in the evening.
Breakfast was good.
We had a standard double room, the bed was up against the wall when we arrived, so we moved it out for access, as there was just enough room.
No bedside table or wardrobe, just hangers on the wall.
Our room was on the front, opposite a train line so a bit noisy.
Not sure how this can be a three star hotel with these facilities.

The staff were really nice, friendly and helpful. The location was convenient for us as we were going to various places around Northamptonshire. The room was clean and had all the facilities we needed. Wifi was excellent.
It was VERY expensive for the quality and experience. It needs a bit of modernisation to be able to charge so much. Also, there was a live music gig on our second night and our room was right above the bar and the beer garden so it was very noisy and disruptive. Overall, not bad, but not what we expected. Probably won't stay here again.

Food was superb, in particular the Roast Beef Sunday Lunch... very friendly staff and the place just had a very comfortable feel about it. :)
I would have appreciated a 'welcome pack' in the room.. just to provide menu, timings for breakfast for example, local places of interest, contact numbers etc. A few biscuits wouldn't go amiss.

Excellent evening meal, and very good breakfast. Pleasant room.
Wrote to the hotel to compliment them on their staff in particular - but never even received an acknowledgement of my email.

you must be aware that it is close to the intercity line

the staff were all lovely, the food was good (we had some tapas) Plenty of parking & drinks not extortionate.
it’s literally 20 metres from a very busy railway line. Trains stopped running at around 11:30 & started 5:30..super loud. Couldn’t have window open. Over night workmen were working on the line, with metal saws & playing music. It was horrific, worst night sleep we’ve ever had in a hotel. Bed was also tiny. And there was a bright green emergency light on the ceiling, made the whole room light up. Awful, really.

Delighted by the sit-down breakfast included in the cost of the room. They offered an English breakfast with real sausage or a vegetarian version. Perfect! "One of each, please." I especially appreciated the whole roasted tomato and portabello mushroom that elevated the traditional fare. The plates were beautifully composed, too. I was grateful for the coffee, being jet-lagged. I had two delicious cappucinos. Friendly service in a sunny room made it just that much more enjoyable. Small bites served at our event later in the day were also delicious. Terrific kitchen and bar.
Nothing. Though, getting our luggage up the staircase was a little bit of work. I'm sure if we needed help, we need only have asked. I believe there's no elevator. Double-check if anyone in your party has mobility issues. Overall, I loved it. My only disappointment was having to leave!

lovely spaceous room, good dinner and breakfast

Staff were great hotel was clean and food was very nice
Room was unbearably hot and couldn't open window because of proximity to main Birmingham to London train line. No plug sockets near bed for charging phones etc. We did ask for a different room but were told all rooms had been reserved. A warning during booking would have been appreciated. A simple fan would have helped. The bed although technically a double was on the small side.

Food and staff excellent though no cash payments were a bit strange as covid 19 sanctions have now gone!
Room was very noisy, at first i thought it was the kitchen but the noise continued throughout the night!, Bed mattress needs changing.
The noise came from some venting behind the TV and was constant with no respite
Room 11 be warned
