Front desk Diego and all the people are excellent! 1custome service. Anything that you need and great breakfast a great value!! Nice and clean hotel afew blocks from downtown of Mérida and main ave. P. Montalvo . Beautiful colonial hotel . I really recommend big rooms, nice atmosphere! Love it 😍 fast WIFI PLACE where you can keep cold water and get cold beers. And nice jacuzzi 🥰 for relaxing 😎 after work in my case.
I love every single thing in this hotel! Price ,location and customer service!!

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Decor was very nice and everything was very clean. Area felt safe.

No hot water. Grttty sheets and towels. Hard bed. Loud.

We had a spacious and clean room, which was decorated in a lovely way since we stayed at the hotel for the fist stop in our honeymoon, and the staff were really nice and helpful.
Location is great, 10 mins walking to the Zocalo so really quiet at night but close to lots of restaurants and cantinas.
We tried the breakfast on our last day and it was delicious!
Totally recommend staying here to explore Mérida (the hotel also has a tour company offering tours to the most famous ruins in the area).
4.0
Near the center, close to park Santa Lucia. Lovely exterior.
Breakfast is good (not included in the room price).
I expected other conditions for the price. No hot water (I understand this is the case in all Merida), the bathroom is outdated and you can hear everything from the room.
À lot of noise coming from the inner court in the morning (again, noise in hotels seems to be a problem in all Merida).
3.5
conveniently located in historical district of Mérida
- very attentive and helpful staff, gave good recommendation for dinner (La Chaya Maya, Parque Santa Lucia)
- parking space in front of the hotel
- they had a Jacuzzi outside on the hotel terrace
- they had a fridge for guest use in the kitchen area
nothing to complain about

We didn't eat the breakfast
We brought our bags in and were told to go find parking. We had to carry our bags up to the 2nd floor. Our room felt and looked like a hostel. The people that worked there literally were just "manning" the desk. We stayed at a couple of other hotels so we had something to compare it to.
4.5
Adorable hotel with great facilities and a wonderful and helpful staff. The room was very well decorated and functional, and the location was a quick walk to many bars, restaurants, cafes, etc.
4.5
As we were family with 2 kids, the room size was quite small for us, however for a couple should be big enought. Hotel itself is very nice, typical mexican style with lot of details. Staff very nice as well, big thanks to Michelle, Mario, David 😊
4.5
Fantastic location, close to all the fun in Merida but located in a quiet block. Easy street parking right in front. This hotel is great for people looking for a nice place to rest but so much to hang out since there is no pool or bar. Loved the colonial aesthetic. Staff was helpful. The 24 hour reception is a plus. Full simple breakfast with eggs, tostadas, frijoles, fruit, coffee & toast.

The outdoor area near our room.
Everything else. The outdoor space and the staff were nice. The rest of the facility was terrible. The weather was 100 degrees and the staff was instructed to turn off our a/c unit. We would come back to a tiny, broken down room to excessive heat.
They also wouldn’t hold our luggage for us (an overnight trip) when we left for a night in a different city. We were required to pay for the full night. This has never happened to us before.
This is the first time in traveling that we both agree. We will not return!

Location was perfect for walking to the historic district and many of the sights. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly and the ambiance was traditional Mexican decor in a restored hacienda that was very charming. We stayed for a week and it was the perfect home away from home for us.
The only improvement I would recommend was on the breakfast -- but these are not normal times and Covid restrictions and rules did not allow the hotel to do their normal routine, which would have been very nice. However, that said, they still provided a nice fruit plate, coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, and eggs fixed any style.
2.5
staff was OK. did not expect less
I think this hotel is way too overrated and too expensive for the quality.
- facilities like jacuzzi still closed
- breakfast is of a poor quality. during our stay in Mexico we’ve been used to homemade breakfast including freshly squeezed juice, sometimes homemade bread and high quality meats. el peregrino serves you processed orange juice, fruits are not tasty, coffee tastes like socks juice and the eggs with chorizo that usually are amazing was tasteless. chips qu’îles are made with industrial chips. so disappointed.
- rooms: our king room was downstairs with no window. they accommodated us to a larger room upstairs with windows this time but with 2 uncomfortable full beds. I’m 6’2 and I did not fit

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and the room is nice. Shower was good.
The room was very dark, which was good for sleeping but not for just hanging out. Without a pool, the outdoor areas are very hot during the day. We ended up at cafes and restaurants more than we would have liked.

Location and breakfast
After midnight there were not people at the reception.
We have to wait outside several minutes before somebody appears to open the door

Good breakfast, good location.
The first night we were given one of the horrible rooms on the main floor adjacent to the reception desk and the breakfast area. This room had no proper window and was more suited to be a janitors closet. The shower head was faulty and shot water sideways all over our toiletries. We asked for bottled water and had to pay twenty pesos. Night clerk was unfriendly. Complained the next morning and were moved to one of the upstairs rooms which are much nicer. Other guests said they had the same problem.

Having learned our lesson at another hotel, we opted for a superior room with two double beds. This put us on the second floor with plenty of space to put things and plenty of natural light. (The rooms downstairs looked a bit dark, so we made the right choice.) The beds were quite comfortable, the bathroom very nice, and there were lots of places to put things in the room. The room, bathroom and entire facility were very clean, and staff followed covid protocols. The room was cleaned daily. There are some nice places to sit outside in a garden atmosphere on the second level where we were as well as on the first level. Overall, the hotel is lovely and appealing.
Location of the hotel is a bit further from the center than where we stayed our first time in Merida, which was actually quite nice. It put us closer to Paseo Montejo and close to Santa Lucia Parque and the restaurants there. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
I also have to give a shout out to a restaurant on our street, Calle 51, a few blocks down on the right as you head towards Santa Lucia called Sasha's Urban Bistro. The two lunches we had there were brilliant and very reasonable. The restaurant itself is very tasteful and restrained while being light, airy and comfortable.
I didn't like the breakfast much. You have to tell them the night before when you want to eat and what you want to have - the only choice, really, is how you want your eggs cooked. Two of the three breakfasts put on our table had eggs not how we requested. The coffee was not good. I can get by with eggs that didn't fulfill my request, but bad coffee - I hope the owners will do something about it. The staff, when they realized they had made mistakes on the eggs two days in a row, were completely apologetic and offered to make up new eggs. I will say that the chilaquiles had a phenomenal red sauce on them.
If you have laundry to be done, you're on your own. We took a bundle to around the corner and never found the laundry the hotel staff said was there.

Authentic and charming. Wonderful breakfast on the patio. Man who welcomed us and did check in was great, friendky and gave extra infos.
It was noisy. Bring ear pads. Room doors are thin and do not fit and isolate well. Man who had night shift did not understand that silence must be maintained in the lobby.

We liked the environment in the hotel. We felt like staying in a traditional Mexican house. The location was also exceptional, you can reach the centre in 5 minutes walking.
They were the most strict hotel with the rules during our stay in Mexico.

Hotel was clean, breakfast was delicious and staff was friendly. Close walk to many city sights and restaurants. Great value. Parking was easy on street outside hotel. Staff took many precautions to sanitize and keep guests safe during covid times.
