Lovekg hotel a gem of a find near the centre of Calais

We opted for a superior room which was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the breakfast the next morning fabulous.

We’ve stayed here before and there isn’t anything we dislike about the hotel.

Journey home after holiday

Location was great, hotel was very impressive and receptionist was very friendly

Room was in a relatively new ground floor extension, rooms were very small, toilet was separate and right by room door, it also smelt as if someone had been sick in there.

Great hotel, close to everything.

The location of the hotel is great. It is close to restaurants and parks. It was easy to get to most attractions by foot. I arrived by train and was able to walk to the hotel with my luggage. It is also close to a bus stop for the transfer to the port for the ferry to cross the channel. The hotel entrance is beautiful. The staff were all lovely. Breakfast was good. The room was small and had an odd layout, but it was clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

Extremely comfortable hotel conveniently located in central Calais.

The most comfortable room I have slept in during three weeks away. Very good breakfast. Helpful staff.

The hotel is very grand but feels just a little bit unloved.

staying felt like visiting a gracious property of an earlier era but with modern facilities.

The location, beautiful and spacious common areas, large room and very large comfortable bed and pillows. Also the very appropriate music playing gently in the background, something I usually dislike! There was a lovely welcoming atmosphere about the hotel.

lack of hooks in the bathroom was the only minor niggle.

First Choice Stay in Calais

Perfectly located. Excellent customer service. Super room with the most comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Secure car park at a reasonable cost.

Ignorant Brits who always expect to be spoken to in English rather than trying to converse, even basically, in French. Even a little schoolboy French is appreciated.

Excellent little hotel!

This hotel is such a little gem. Dog friendly. We loved our stay. Our room was pristinely clean and very comfortable. Shower was excellent. We loved the warm and comfortable ambiance of the lobby/bar area and the grandeur of the breakfast room. Selection of food at breakfast buffet was excellent. All very fresh and of good quality. Parking available in front of the hotel, well lit and designated bays. Easy walking to shops and restaurants. A little park nearby was really good for dogs. But the best thing of all was how friendly, relaxed and helpful staff were. It made the whole experience so much more comfortable and memorable.

A palatial hotel with some dated facilities.

Very large room with large ensuite, tea and coffee facilities. Near to restaurants and shops. The breakfast was very good.

The receptionist when we arrived was supercilious, the morning staff were very pleasant. The car parking was very difficult and only available for a handful of cars. The hotel listed as having a restaurant but this only served breakfast.
