No me gusto nada.

Our junior club suite in the club area was large, modern style and reasonably furnished. It will soon need refurbishing. The club area is located separately from the rest of the hotel and accessed by a long underground passage. There are no facilities at the club but do it yourself tea and coffee.
As a 4* hotel the expected standard of facilities and guest support are high. This hotel did not reach that standard and felt more like serviced rooms than a 4* hotel.

The location is exceptional. The hotel is close to literally anything you need or desire. The room and the bathroom have a nice and modern design. Also, I was impressed by the fact that the room and bathroom have been designed in a very smart manner (they were spacious, good looking and also useful). I liked the fact that the hairdryer was a qualitative one (not just a small, weak hairdryer that you usually get at hotels). The bathtub area was also very efficiently designed (even if you shower, the bathroom floor is not splashed with water). The AC was very effective and easy to use. The panoramic elevator is just awesome. Very good breakfast and nice staff. I enjoyed every moment there.
I did not find any hotel provided slippers (which I usually find at hotels).

there were two jacuzzis but only one was working. there were no rules about usage so people using it could stay for hours without letting other people in

The staff was lovely, the room was spacious and the rooftop had a nice view! It is very well located, next to a lidl supermarket and a mall with cinema and lots of restaurants on its roof. You can certainly see both the sea view and the mountains.
Although the cleanliness of the rooms was good, the corridors had a very bad smell. I had to ran all the way from my room to the lift as I couldn't breath normally, to me it was very uncomfortable and made me sick to the stomach.
I guess the hotel welcomes young crowds and sports teams, which resulted in having corridors with youngsters running, laughing and playing amongst rooms. It didn't bother me too much, but depending on the circumstances it can be annoying..

A FINE HOTEL WITH GOOD FACILITIES. BAR, RESTAURANT GOOD. ROOMS COMFORTABLE. LITTLE OUTSIDE NOISE.
IT MIGHT BE GOOD TO ADVISE GUESTS ABOUT THE DEDICATED SHORT-TERM PARKING SPACE AT THE HOTEL. ALSO, FOREIGNERS WILL FIND THE LOCATION OF THE UNDERGROUND PARKING A REAL TEST!

Nice hotel, decent location
The front staff was not very helpful or friendly. We experienced nothing but kindness from the locals so this was unexpected.

The beds were comfortable and the room was a pleasant temperature. The shower was strong and warm. Our stay was just fine. Not amazing, special or luxurious, but just passably fine. Nothing particularly to write home about!
I unfortunately found a cockroach in the bathroom at the beginning of our stay, so it didn't start well. We had also requested that we had one double bed, rather than two singles pushed together - which they weren't able to do so we had a big gap in the middle of our bed.
The plugs were very temperamental. I tried all the switches but really couldn't figure out why some of them worked sometimes, and others didn't ... despite having worked the day before! Above the bed there were four light fittings, but only one worked.
In the bathroom, there was one bathrobe and slipper set, although the room was for double occupancy. This was a bit confusing! The bathroom also had two sinks, but only one set of toiletry items was provided - so we only had one little tiny square of soap to put between the his and her sinks! I also didn't understand why the shower gel was attached to the wall furthest from the shower, so you had to step out to access it.
We upgraded to the exclusive lounge area as they had included pastries and hot drinks advertised. This didn't met expectations - the access to the lounge and room was down a long corridor away from the reception and past the parking, and then up a floor in the lift?! We felt very much hidden away in the back. The "pastries" were on the counter in two bowls - one full of tiny single prepacked biscuits and the other with tiny little prepacked muffins. I was hoping for relatively fresh items, so it was disappointing.
Only one of the hot tubs was working when we went up to the spa area. (However, my partner used the sauna and said it was good.)
It wasn't a miserable stay - we just go on with it! - but it wasn't what we were hoping for.

Great location and 9th floor has great views. Very clean.
Very noisy in hotel corridors in the morning - cleaning staff, even on a Sunday on the first floor.

Nothing
This hotel was poor value for the 500 euros I paid as a treat for my wife for a four-night stay, with no meals provided in this cost.
I booked a junior suite which stated that there was a lounge and bathtub, together with several extras. Bathtub was a standard bath.
The lounge area was in a dark area in the middle of the suite with the bedroom next to the windows over what was a noisily street with four cafes below.
The TV was in the bedroom not in the lounge, however not any good to us, as it was the first hotel I have been to in Europe where all the channels on TV were in the language of that country.
The WI-Fi would only connect to two devices rendering our tablets useless, despite trying to close the link with our phones and trying to connect our tablets.
The extras turned out to be a cup and saucer each in the room where we would have to walk 50 metres to get our free coffee or tea and water from machines and no fresh milk.
The other extras were not very nice tasting apples, and the free pastries were small pre packaged single muffins and a single prepacked biscuit.
We never had the breakfast as we thought the charge of 16 euros each was a bit expensive, especially when you could get a reasonable breakfast just outside the hotel for under half that price.
The clothes hangers were not fit for purpose, if two items were hang on them the leather made hook could not take the weight and would fall to the floor.
On the plus side the suite was kept clean and the bathroom door that would not close was mended promptly.
The hotel is near shops, but about a 20 minute walk away from the Old Town.
As mentioned earlier this hotel was not any way near value for money and a poor start to our 16-day holiday in Tenerife.
Thankfully the other two hotels we used were much better where we were full board for about 20 euros a night extra for the two of us compared with the price we paid for the Silken.
